Amazing food and service! We ordered the King and French Toast today: the servings were generous and the food tasted great. The fruits with the French toast were fresh - my daughters loved it - and the lady behind the counter was very friendly! Will definitely go there again on our next trip to Wellington/Petone :)

My favourite Petone cafe, always friendly staff, good coffee and a nice range of cabinet food. And a secure railing outside to lock my bike to (important in Wellington). Recommended.

Best breakfast I had in a while!! Ordered the king breakfast and it lived up to the name. Staff was very friendly, food was excellent and the coffee was great. Definitely a 5 star on a budget.

Friendly reception, good food well-prepared. What's not to like? Inexpensive, .. and two excellent hot chocolate drinks to follow. We are not often in Petone but I would revisit here.

Enjoyed a nice mince and cheese on toasted sandwich very full dinner plate with a side dish of sour cream didn't need any other condiments it was savory and delicious Its a small Cafe with footpath outside dining to enjoy your mocha and cigarettes Service with goodwill and cheer one of Petone's obvious gems

The best coffee in NZ! Coupled with great baking, this cafe is our home base, after a long road trip it’s so good to be home again to Palace coffee.

The Palace is more grunge than royalty, particularly the toiletries. However the coffee and food is above average with a wide range of offerings.
