G. H.Great casual ambience. Plenty of seating options. Food is cafe typical and everything was perfectly cooked. Great coffee and friendly staff.
M. B.I was tempted by the great reviews and headed to the Preservatorium for a late brunch. A good range of options looked promising so I went for the veggie breakfast, sans mushrooms. I was really hoping that their hash special promised a homemade hash brown - unfortunately this turned out to be a generic pre-made hb. Hopes dashed.
The beans were great and flavourful but the rest of the plate was fairly standard stuff. Two other negatives: they added mushrooms (bleck) which meant I had to send the first plate back, and they didn’t have paywave so I had to do an awkward bank transfer to pay for it.
L.I adore this place. They have free wifi, and the ambience is lovely, which makes it a great working cafe in Wellington.
My cabinet favourite is the Steak and Mushroom pie, I reckon it's the best steak pie in Welly!
The cooked breakfasts are bloody good too.
And the cherry on top? It's the ONLY place in Wellington that I've seen do latte art with OAT milk. A perfect Oat Latte every time.
