M.The service was fantastic, the coffee was yum and I definitely recommend the club sandwiches. They are delicious. The staff are friendly and excellent. We had my grandbaby with us today and they were also very helpful with his needs.

B.Nice Cafe at the end of the Strand. Selection of seating including couches & easy chairs, indoor tables and outdoor seating under awnings. Good coffee & great selection of treats to go with it. There is also some stuff for kids in the form of high chairs & booster seats and a couple of boxes full of toys to keep litte hands occupied. They roast their own beans and have cool murals on the wall describing the process of producing coffee ☕.
T.Great atmosphere, great food and coffee with a special level of service. Roast their own beans. Make the best iced coffee, ideal on those Whakatane sunny days. Handy to shops and waterside.

P.Such a great little Cafe, friendly, very welcoming staff, great tasting food, well priced, large portions. Even though it was busy, breakfast and coffees came out quickly and hot!.

d.A cosy coffee shop also providing breakfast, sandwiches and cakes roasting the coffee bean on site sitting outside in the sun or on an easy chair inside. Friendly staff and club sandwiches to die for, if you like the coffee so much you can buy coffee beans to take home, roasted whole or ground in sizes 400, 500 grm and 1 kg bags. Also dog friendly with water bowls and doggy titbit from staff. With Ample bike racks available for a coffee stop

G.Fresh smaller club sandwiches of 2 varieties, were fresh, beautiful and reasonably priced.Not often available, these days. I'd go out of my way to buy again. Coffee very good. Staff attentive and efficient even when the rain came down on outside covered seating.
R.Recently, we spent 10 days in Whakatane. Looking back, it feels like we spent a lot of our mornings having superb coffees (10 out of 10), rhubarb-apple crumble treats and reading our books (not the warmest or sunniest of days)—while most of the staff came out to play with our dog Layla after discussing who would give her her daily dog treats. As well as the quality service, we were made to feel at home. We miss you, guys, and Layla misses her morning coffee treats. Highly recommended!

M.I only stop for coffee - but it is good coffee. I walk past here most mornings. As someone who has worked as a barista in Sydney for the past 6 years, i really enjoy it, and i know coffee.
J.I really like the coffee, the bagels with a variety of toppings are good, the 'breakfast muffin' (really a bagel with good bacon etc. on it) is very nice and my friend can't get enough of their fruit loaf, can't remember the kind (right next to the checkout) plus service and location is good. The ability to sit outside in fine weather is nice but it is warm indoors in winter- not all NZ eateries are! Plus they have cheese scones which seem to be getting harder to find. Cookies are nothing to write home about, there are a variety of cabinet items, juice and ice cream bar type stuff in a freezer of which there seems to be an interesting variety. I go here pretty often. I need to try out more of their food, I tend to stick with things I like. I'm subtracting a star mainly because it feels cramped, the space is kind of small particularly in winter when you can't spread outdoors.
