Reviews of Whanga Bar & Cafe
L.Just want to say when we visited here yesterday New Years Day 2022 for a late breakfast we were thrilled with the service and how quick the meals came out even though they were quite busy. There were 5 of us and the four that had a breakfast were very impressed and i had a Date and Orange scone - it was beautiful. Also the cups of tea were hot and a pot each. Thank you so much. We will visit next time we are in Whangamata.
W.Very good place for breakfasting as has a couple of lovely outdoor seating areas nicely shaded and most importantly, great coffee. Small menu with normal favs and some interesting items, such as eggs and chorizo. Also big plus... down a alleyway away from the chatter and hubbub of the main street in Whangamata. Staff very pleasant andhss all the facilities.
J.This gem has the best coffee in Whangamata.....such a beautifull shop and the atmosphere is inviting. Good music is awesome, not to mention the positivity shining out from all the staff.......amazing experience. Thank you!

E.Visited the Whanga Bar for the first time on Saturday. The menu has so many great options it was hard to choose! I went for the chicken tacos which tasted great but I was a little disappointed about the amount of chicken on the tacos especially when the price was $14 for 2 small tacos. My husband had a burger which was great. So I’d say the food is nice but at least with the tacos the cost was a little much for the quantity. Nice little location they have and I would go back to try one of the other delicious looking options.
