P.This is a delicatessen which offers up away from the the Main Street bustle a delightful coffee bar where you can enjoy your surroundings whilst sipping a very tasty flat white. I usually pick a single item from the cabinet and can certainly say everything I have tasted to date is very good. These have ranged from muffins, scones, brioches, almond croissants to the likes of almond and orange cake. The staff without exception are friendly and polite and give excellent service. This is a great plus in Covid times.
Ambrosia is at the highest level in the Whanganui coffee scene and deserves full houses.

I'm a bacon and eggs fan and mine with the brioche bread was the best I've had for along time.

k.Ambrosia Delicatessen / La Bolsa Negra Cafe is a great ......option for somewhere to stop by and enjoy a nice coffee along with a signature gourmet chocolate and thier is a nice range of counter food as well......... They do Havana coffees and are nice and counter food includes nice slices etc
The actual delicatessen is really nice as well and was a wide variety of special unquie things to buy, ......things that are only able to be found in a delicatessen of this nature..
Overall great place and is fun environment,..... warm and cozy in the winter months 😊☕🥪🍛🥧☕🍵🍶

D.Food was lovely order was not correct. Staff should repeat final order to customer to ensure they haven't missed anything. Two bagels sounds very different to one. We shared and didn't buy another.
P.The Professor and I travelling south through Whanganui decided to revisit Ambrosia. We were served good coffee on our last visit and we were not disappointed this time. The service, coffee and food were excellent. The Professor said the froth on the almond milk cappuccino was not quite as silky as others but still a lovely cup. Being keto freaks we had a chicken dish and what looked like a keto chocolate dessert. Too much salt was used for our taste on the chicken and the dessert had a thin, carbohydrate (biscuit) base but neither issue diminished the experience. We'll be back.

L.Warm on a cold winter's day. Warm greeting at the door. Excellent coffee and hot chocolate, warm savoury scones with real butter, a great selection in the cabinet including a KETO bacon and egg pie and a menu to choose from also. Excellent quality service.

A.A great little place for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee or some quiet quality time with a friend. Their croissant is exactly as it should and the staff is lovely. Last but not least the unique delightful boutique decor.
