If you're looking for best place in Whanganui for a coffee and snacks, you've just found it! We had amazing drinks and sweet and savoury treats. Service was super warm. 5 stars aren't enough 👌

The food and coffee are fabulous! However absolutely everything is served in disposable single use cups and containers. I BYO my cup and containers, only to have my food heated on a disposable plate.

My favorite place to go for lunch! No matter what you order its always super yummy & fresh! Love all the new meals coming out the time, can't go past the satay cauliflower & broccoli salad and all the yummy treats! + the best service ever. 10/10!!

Lovely spot to pop in for a coffee or slice, and so easy to order a family meal for a special occasion from their website. We had a large fish pie which easily fed 8 of us, with leftovers, and was absolutely delicious. 100% would order again, thanks guys!

My absolute favourite place to get food from in Whanganui. When I first had my baby, my work mates dropped me off two meals from here and I was addicted from that point on and my baby is now three months old and I have Honest Kitchen weekly. My favourites are the roasted cauliflower spaghetti salad and the feta and olive pasta bake, but I could eat pretty much anything from here. Great vegan and vegetarian options! I love checking instagram to see what will be on the menu for the day. It's also opposite the most beautiful little area to sit and eat and relax!

Honest Kitchen is a hidden gem. Walk in the door, close your eyes and take a depth breath in through your nose. The fragrances will tell you you’ve found a place where food is king, and coffee is the queen. Friendly staff, excellent food ranging from salads to bao buns to fish pie to sweet slices. Be in early if you want the legendary date and orange scones.

I can’t believe it took me so long to try Honest Kitchen! Had it for the first time last week and was no disappointed… in fact I’ve been back twice since! Delicious food and great service. The passion fruit and berry cheesecake is a must have!

The customer service is so friendly, it's great! And the food is AMAZING!! No matter what I order, it's always yummy, and a great value for money! Definitely my go-to-place, and I would recommend it to anyone!

Delicious, generously-filled wraps and bagels, had my own coffee cup filled and used their recycling bins to get rid of my wrapping. Love this place.

Honest Kitchen has something for everyone - doesn't matter if you're gluten free, dairy free, sugar free or just love a good kiwi meal and their coffee and customer service is outstanding! There is also a beautiful seating area opposite their shop where you can sit under the trees and enjoy the beautiful Whanganui sunshine, eat delicious nutritious food, drink excellent coffee and relax :)

Amazing team here, producing a huge range of fresh, quality, delicious food. Multiple GF/DF/vegan/paleo options but also tasty meat dishes: I appreciate they are working hard to cater to everyone. The front counter staff do an amazing job; it is so busy during the lunch hours but they are unfailingly friendly, helpful and fast. I really appreciate them and the great food (and coffee). Note that this is primarily a takeaway operation; there is a counter and barstools but it would only be a comfortable place to sit early and late in their opening hours as it's a small space and there's a press of customers over the lunch hours. (Visitors—there are park benches across the road in a pleasant setting and you're only a block away from the riverfront.)

There are not many places that tick all the boxes for me when it comes to really honest-to-goodness good food, loaded with options, served hot or cold by really lovely people, and so fast! And if that wasn't enough, they will sing your name when your order is ready! honest! Well maybe not entirely true, but they might sing if you ask 😊

Delicious selection of fresh, healthy food. Their pre made meals are handy if you don't feel like cooking. The slices and cheesecakes are absolutely amazing. Lovely staff too!

Honest Kitchen is the BEST place in town for a fresh, healthy and quick lunch. The food is always displayed beautifully, the variety is incredible and the quality of the food is always immaculate. The staff are super friendly and always remember who you are and ask how you are doing, and you can tell they genuinely mean it! Even their baked goods are amazing, and even offer to get you some from out back if they have run out from the front cabinet. 100% recommend !!!

Honest kitchen has the best service form the front counter girls. Always a hello and smile when you enter the shop! The food is delicious with a huge variety. Can’t pass up any of the slices either!

Fantastic food, served to you by the friendliest staff! Salmon Nourish Bowl is insanely good. Tasty salads and superb bagels and sandwiches.

Great meal. Had Spicy Beef Soup and enjoyed it immensely. Quick service too. Try it for yourself.

Bacon and egg pie was so basic it was ok. No onion, no veges. The brownie was nice but the berry cheesecake was a must get again! A bit pricey for my liking.

Large variety of good, proper, healthy and top quality food at a very reasonable price that almost has to be seen to be appreciated. They also cover all special dietary requirements like keto, GF, vegan etc. About the same price, if not cheaper, than a takeaway chain feed (McDs/BK/KFC etc.) and a lot more healthy, tasty and satisfying. The good range of readymade meals are awesome, you can grab one on the go to heat up later on or they will heat it up for you then and there. I also like how you can 'pick n mix' to fill your container from the cabinet, a bit like a smorgasbord type situation. You can find everything here from a sweet snack, right through to a big hearty meal, including a good range of salads. The foods on offer chop and change regularly so there's always something different to try. The staff are the icing on the cake, always friendly, helpful and patient and are a credit to the business. I've never had anything close to a negative or disappointing experience here and always recommend to everyone. 10/10 from me!

Always service with a smile. The coffee is my morning saviour. My favourites from the cabinet are fish pie, caesar salad (to die for), spaghetti salad, vanillla slice, orange & date scone. Honestly, the best cafe in Whanganui:)

This place gets really busy at lunch time - probably because the food is amongst the best in Whanganui. I ate one of their sandwiches which is stuffed full of greens and roast veg along with salami and cheese, and also a bao bun with great pork belly and plum sauce. Try the lemon cheese cake - super creamy with a tasty biscuit base.

Whilst I love HK, the food is awesome and great for lunch, I ordered a Mango Smoothie the other day and did not enjoy this one bit. Was disappointed. However, on the whole I really enjoy HK.

Located close to my business, I occasionally grab lovely coffee here. The selection of cabinet food looks amazing. I've been given a gift card for Christmas and I look forward to trying more treats soon

Full of choice. Queues of people are a sure sign of great food. We were looking for somewhere to sit and consider some options for the days outing so no space for that today. Food looks amazing and very nicely presented with choices for everyone.

Staff are fabulous, coffee is always on point, food well presented and of course all taste delicious. Great healthy options for dinners, lunches or if you need a salad for a side dish.

I weally wouve honest kitchen. I wish I had enough money to eat lunch their every day. They have yummy salads (I know, under normal conditions yummy and salads should not be in the same sentence, it is by all definitions an oxymoron. Cool word oxymoron. Anyways, they have these caramel oaty slices. What's the opposite to oxymoron? Because that is what that oaty slice is. Noromyxo, it means caramel and oates are supposed to be together, like Hall and Oakes and I like to have hold outs with that oaty slice like the hall and Oakes song one on one. Or just the two of us, until I eat it and we become one. Now I'm hungry.

I come here all the time. Awesome food, awesome veggie options for a good price. Love it! Certainly ask for a mix of different things, worth it.

Never once have I felt disappointed by their food or service. Food is always more tasty than you are expect and every time you go you are greeted with a smile

Catered for our event - everyone RAVED about the food. Have strict instructions not to go elsewhere! They don't do deliveries unfortunately, but worth it if you can spare the time to do that yourself.
