Considering we accidentally left without paying and had to go back... The staff were helpful, thankful we had gone back and a lill bit cheeky, which was deserved... Food is amazing and plentiful, great place to hang and chat!

I can see why they call it mint, because everything about this place is mint! The food, the staff and cleanliness. Don’t be fooled and let your eyes get bigger than your stomach…otherwise you’ll end up like me staggering out the door feeling like Violet Beauregarde. Overall fantastic experience and would recommend the slushy’s but could use a bigger straw…

Nice cozy Cafe with good atmosphere, there were a few of us in our group a little hit and miss when it came to ordering our coffees and it took over an hr to get our mains but the food was awesome, worth the wait, really nice. Would go back again.

We had a group of 10 in today and Mint was humming! We were told our meals would have a wait on them and we weren't that bothered. After a time the staff came down and gave us a platter of cakes as an apologie for the wait time. Amazing service - a lot of cafe's (this from experience) wouldn't have bothered. Meals were lovely and staff were great, as usual. Thanks guys - the happy birthday song from you all was unexpected and lovely. Recently been for dinner at Mint and can honestly say I have not had such high quality meal in Whanganui for a long while. The cocktails are to die for. Very difficult to choose. I had the Asian pork dish and it was cooked to perfection. Everyone at the table enjoyed their respective meals. Amazing food and service. Highly recommend!

Was pleased to see Tracey making coffee this morning, she always makes a good one. All three breakfast meals we ordered this morning were great, eggs runny, plenty of hollandaise sauce and tasty streaky bacon. Mint is always busy but everytime we visit they have the staff to keep up. One of our go to cafes in Wanganui.

Service was prompt, and very friendly, but pretty slow, even though the cafe was only around half full, and food did reach the table less than piping hot, but overall a great experience, will come back if ever in whanganui again, and would recommend to friends who aren't in a hurry!

A friend of mine recommended this place for a brunch. I had The Crying Tiger Thai Beef Salad. Despite its unusual name, it was delicious. The coffee we ordered were great, too - we ordered our seconds. The only thing I wish was the outside area towards the square wasn't the best - the individual table was on an awkward slope, and the long table was right underneath some bird-friendly trees - we had a surprise drop.

It has a nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly and nice. The food that I had tasted really great. Though I found a hair in my food, but that happens to the best. They have a wide variety of drinks, though I found it kind of confusing since they apparently don't have a menu when I asked for one. They offer free and unlimited wifi. But all in all it was really nice, so I would recommend going there.

I find Mint is a go to for me when I think of a cafe. The reasons are many, including great cabinet food, lots of vegan and vegetarian options including sweet options, the coffee is great, staff are really nice, cool atmosphere, playground for the kids and more. It's also a restaurant and does fairly decent pizzas and other food, along with a respectable alcohol selection. I recommend checking the place out! 🙂

First time @ Mint last night. Absolutely 5 stars . Didn't feel like a large meal so the 2 of us shared a pizza , some squid and a salad. Food was tasty and fresh.Service was friendly, professional and efficient.....and omg the cocktails are beautiful. Cocktail hour is 5-7pm...many at $9 each which is a bargin , compared to a glass of wine or a bottle of beer. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back for more.

Food was excellent and reasonably priced but it was oh so cold in the restaurant. We were a table of 6 and placed in the bottom area which is surrounded by glass with a glass roof. One rather small useless gas heater in a large area. We all kept our coats on during the meal - didn't stay for coffee it was just too d... cold. Very, very noisy too. Another point for the owner to watch: teach your waitresses how to serve meals i.e. don't reach across others at the table to place plates etc. Certainly not a winter dining establishment.

What a lovely cafe. I had an exquisite bacon, mushroom & chicken filo (had to buy two to take away) and also a bacon and egg savory with chutney inside - which was also lovely. Excellent friendly service and clean well kept cafe. We will be making this a regular stop off when travelling.

Undoubtedly the best beef burger I have undertaken in 2018 and maybe 2017. Mint does well covering the basics of a good cafe with merit. Beside good food mint wanganuo offers a nice decor, ambiance and feel. It is also clean! Service is pleasant and efficient although it can get busy during the lunch hours. For me the food at mint stands out in Wanganui. It presents well and tastes like real cafe food should. I have eaten here 4 times over the past 2 months. From my recent experience Mint wanganui delivers continuity in their food and service as you would expect of a decent food establishment. Not to be compared with cafes that speed cook processed food using a cunning menu that only leave you disappointed Enjoy... Recommend the big breakfast, pancake stack and beef burger
