F.The strawberries were really fresh and tasty. The staff was so nice. We had tasty huge cone ice creams. My daughter loved the alpacs too.
S.Called in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. There' s good parking and I was very pleased to see vaccine passes were required and checked. The staff were friendly and welcoming, a good range of food, and reasonably priced. Lots of outdoor tables so people could spread out. Strawberries were so red and sweet. Will call in again next time I'm passing.

Great place to stop for a real fruit ice cream, or brunch. I had the berry pancakes, and they were unlike anything I'd had before! I highly recommended them.
There is plenty of parking - which they need during the summer months.
You can also pick your own berries too
W.The sweetest strawberries I’ve ever had! You can do the strawberry picking for $10/bucket and bring it home, not to mention that you can eat as many as you want while you’re picking it. Very nice quick service and helpful staff. Tried the mixed berries ice cream and in love with it! It was so good. There was alpacas and animals as well. Bought the strawberry dessert wine as well

M.You must stop here for real fruit ice cream! And fresh fruit! It is the best. We also had the pancake breakfast with a fruit smoothie. We went back the next day it was so good. Speeding to get there before it closed, we were 75 km away! We barely made it.

J.The biggest, sweetest most delicious strawberries in New Zealand. Raspberries, blueberries and blackberries are also available and devine. If you haven't experienced a coffee or brunch here yet then you need to make sure you call in to their café and store. Yum!! November through to February is a good time to go but I went for a coffee in April the other day and they still were open selling fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. 🍓

J.What a great place to have brunch. The best frittata I’ve had anywhere. Served with a yummy chutney. Reasonably priced, good service and a great atmosphere. Well worth checking out.

We visited at the end of summer and the selection was limited, but come mid season and there are plenty of babies to choose from.

B.I really like strawberries and like to support our local gardens. Windermere Gardens have branched out to an awesome business with a cafe. Coffee is amazing and I highly recommend their famous pancakes. Well worth the journey.

A.Visit this place regularly during summer. Great service, delicious food. Beautiful strawberries that you can pick yourself- although we couldn't pick them today as that's not open yet. My only complaint was the real fruit ice cream in a adult cup was the same size as the childs cup...definitely would like more in the adults next time 🙂

I've never seen so many in my lifetime.
The kids had a ball picking them, we even made a game out of who could find the biggest and the most unusual shape.
Helped keep the lunch boxes with a yummy fresh fruit for two weeks as well. Oh and hubby got his fix of moderated strawberries for dessert. Will definately be back again on our next visit to the area.

M.Windermere has been a staple since my childhood! The berries here are incomparable! There is something special about a Windermere Berry! It has its own taste! Delicious, highly recommend - need to try the wine!

L.I found Windermere Berry Farms as a professional retail shop however obviously the monopoly-like effects of owning an unique business venture has led to prices being overpriced albeit the cuttings were of a decent value. While definitely worth a visit in the summer if one is passing by, I found the prices too dear to consider becoming a regular customer.
A.plenty of parking, delicious fresh icecream, friendly staff and plenty of of seating. Dog friendly, would definitely recommend a visit!

n.My family would go to this place each time we visit Wanganui. But lately the service is getting slower. Today, we waited for pancakes for over 40 mins. Midway to this way, my daughter asked to follow up with the order. Our order slip was not on the board. But we were told that it’ll just be five mins. The said she doesn’t understand what we’re trying to say. We clearly are waiting a long time for pancakes. We had appointments to go to. So after she said five mins we waited another 15-20 mins for a very sugary, maple drenched $20 pancake loaded with strawberries.
It's a great idea to have this in Wanganui. However, it is under serviced... as a lot of people have already pointed out on online reviews. It would also help if their staff would be more attentive to customers who are waiting and not just say they don't know or understand why they are following up. Unfortunately, we may not come back.... Sorry.

L.Beautiful ice creams and food. Sadly at busy times you have to queue for some time to order and have a long wait for an ice cream. This put me off a year ago, but I will visit again this summer.
D.They were not prepared for the numbers of people. We couldn't get an ice cream because we had a young baby to consider and it would have been a 40 minute wait. Disappointing
