A.Went today for brunch with 10 of us in our family. There was only one staff member out front and one is the kitchen but we still received awesome service, food and coffee! We had a great time and will definitely be back when we next come through Whangarei. Thanks team!!
G.Best "brunch" we have ever had after travelling down from Whananaki Holiday Park and on the way to Auckland. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the service was awesome! Definitely set as our stop when we come back this way again.
J.Lovely cafe with really lovely, friendly and diligent waiting staff. Pity I didn't take pics of our breakfast Sunday morning, but nonetheless, fantastic food! My partner ordered the egg & Salmon Benedict which was done to perfection. I felt like a toasted egg, bacon & mushroom sandwich, which wasn't on the menu. The waitress asked the chef if it could be done and there was no problem. It was absolutely beautiful. Pricing is also really good in comparison to other cafés. We will definitely return when I'm in Whangarei agin and recommend Nectar Café 100%! I'm from Auckland and wish we could get such lovely service down here. Cannot speak highly enough of your lovely staff ☺️
G.It was OK. Spent 79$ plus for lunch for 6 people using grabone. My meal was the French toast with was excellent. Everyone else had eggs benidict. Salmon or bacon. One meal had a not so nice extra. A piece of metal from the dish scrubber. Staff apologised. Which was nice. But this has put us off going back. I know this was an accident. Others may have better experience here.
S.Went here for the first time today and it was a wonderful experience. The girl who took our orders and served us was great, friendly and nothing was too much bother. The coffee and food was excellent. I had the chocolate waffles, absolutely to die for... yummmm.
J.I have recently been diagnosed with food allergies and are still figuring out what I can eat where. The staff here were very helpful and supportive to put a meal together for me. And even afterwards when I had doubts, they showed me packaging to ease my mind. Will definitely return. Thank you Nectar!

L.Nice view & morning sun. I got the mushrooms on toast but the breakfast bagel from the cabinet is actually better for the price. Nice to see some creative smoothies - especially using healthy options rather than sugar and flavoured syrup. Only down side is the wifi is pretty average maybe they cap the speed or something.

G.Dropped in for a coffee early Wednesday morning, hoping they had the fire going. They did! The barista was great, the service was great and three sources of heat; coffee, the woodburner and the sun coming up over Parahaki. Muffins, almond croissants or a full hot breakfast available as they open at 7.
Coffee (delicious) is from Cafe L'Affare and they have an A hygiene rating from the council

A.By far the best Cafe in all of Whangarei. Nectar cafe has not once disappointed me and I thoroughly enjoy spending breakfast here. Friendly staff, nice seating and delicious food can be expected here :)

Every chefs worst nightmare haha anyway I ordered a soy mocha and it was one of the best coffee's I have had in ages!!!! I asked them if they could make the mushrooms on toast vegan and they did. It was so delicious! You must try them if you go. The front of house team were so lovely and the chefs were soo accommodating. Thanks Nectar Cafe :)

S.Decor getting old. Meal sizes shrinking. Got our drinks 10 minutes after finishing lunch. Hot chocolate was thin, watery and cooling. Smoothy was good. You dont handle and wrap cutlery in serviete at the till when customers order. Wont be going back in a while, sorry.
N.Daughter's shout for father's day. Pleasing entrance, and table settings with a bit of atmosphere. Had open sandwich with salad and lamb. Plum flavoured something helped the salad leaves. Left the bread this not being conducive to healthy living.

Enjoyable enough, but would rate only fair to good for the money. Of course daughter's company made the occasion. Chose the "good" option. More furnishings might help the noise which is a problem at many of these places.
D.I went there for lunch recently but there was no lunch menu! They have an all day menu but there is very little of what you would expect on a lunch menu. It's mostly egg-based meals. It was ok but not the kind of food I wanted or expected. Perhaps tellingly, much quieter than it used to be.
