Where else would you go to get out of the rain on a wet, wild and windy day in Whangarei but The Pantry Cafe at 50 Kioreroa Road, Port Whangarei. A nice cozy oasis with an assortment of hot or cold, sweet or savoury tempting morsels. Washed down with a large and wonderfully hot Mocha.

They have the best bacon and egg pies which are well priced. Great friendly people.

I went in there for sausage but ended up getting a rub and tug for a extra 50 cents

Great coffee. Excellent service. More of a workers lunchbar as far as food goes but always something yummy to eat.

We arrived just on closing time, but despite this we were welcomed and served with a smile. Even though it was the end of the day, the bit of food that remained was of impressive quality and variety - something for everyone. The cafe was spotlessly clean, the owners friendly and the lime thickshake was probably the best I've ever had. Will be returning!
