Yeah the real tall guy that served me was pretty helpful and pleasant. I should I have given him a tip. Competitive price for the product I wanted too. I think I'm saving $40.

Super helpful staff, like having a personal shopper, great for Christmas time when it's busy and you just want to get in and out . I asked for best price and manageed to save a few extra dollars on already reduced products as well. Fantastic deals.

Today I had an absolute customer service experience. One of the staff member named JAE SIN was amazing with the products explanation. Every single details of the product was executed and explained based on my needs. Definitely recommended, if not sure what to buy online just visit the store. I think better then online purchase.

Was all good but was hard to get proper help... I was just pointed in general directions, which were wrong and then was overcharged $35 for my powerbank and had to wait for ages while they figured it out! It was super lucky I checked my docket because I live in Kumeu and am not able to drive due to a disability so would have had a super hard time getting my refund! Thats a huge discrepancy in the computer!

Good products and competitively priced. Always difficult to get customer service though. You can wait ages before someone will approach you. The sales rep that eventually helped me was very knowledgeable and honest. Didn't try to upsell or sell me extras I didnt need which I appreciated. Service was a bit lacking in closing the sale though. I was handed off to another team member which felt awkward. Like everyone else here is saying, do some of your own research and be prepared to approach staff if you want something . Would still shop here again.

Pretty decent store, only JB hifi left out West Auckland so do appreciate having it nearby. Staff have always been friendly and approachable, and the store generally clean and buggy friendly.

This store offers a large variety of electronic goods from small appliances to tvs, computers and electronic media like cds, vinyl, dvds and blurays. The store has a lot on offer and is mostly easy to get around but expect to go around the long way if someone is blocking the way. The main problem I find with JBhifi is that there's never a staff member around when i need them. (Usually at the camera section) Ill stand for 5 mins like an idiot looking around with my wallet out, then i give up and find someone but ofcourse their from a different department and cant help me. Its my only gripe and i can understand the problem with staffing but its made me not buy items a number of times since i didnt have so much time waste, standing around. Other than that its a great store, brings value to lynn mall and has a handy location near the main entrance.

It's a hit or miss with the store staff. There is so many walking around. We have brought many items from here. As the price is very good. Just don't like being pestered by a different staff member every corner and aisle I turn. Then on one occasion when you need help. No one to be seen. Other than that. The store here is great. So much stock. Lots to chose from. Cds. Dvds. Games. Consoles. Laptops. Accessories. Drones. Batteries. Everything. Except long hdmi cords lol. But that's okay. The shop is always clean. Prices are clear. Wish there was more choice of desktops though.

Great staff. I needed to change the item my son bought for me. No hassles , asked why I was returning the product. They were happy to refund me even my son paid for it. I bought Panasonic wireless headphones and Bluetooth headset, they refunded rest of the money to me. Keep up the good service guys.. JB= JUST BRILLIANT

Usually very pleasant staff and a nice shop. Boys are great. Had a very rude experience with one of the senior staff(maybe manager) Angie, who should possibly not work in customer service or in front of the house. Her behavior was unbelievable and a bad example for other staff. Hope you can teach her how to talk with people and maybe inject some kindness and a smile into her. We all have bad days, but at least as long as the customer is polite, the customer service should be too.

One of the better jb's I have visited, staff are always chatty and upbeat and always keen to share there insights on games and movies. Have never had any problem with new release movies and music being available and on hand. Keep up the great work staff (additional 6 star for you)

No one approached me to help even though I was wandering around in circles looking for something and there were at least 2 staff just standing around. Great staff, the tech staff really know what they are selling, which is actually very refreshing these days. So i always buy my electronics from JB Hi-Fi New Lynn and no where else. Their prices have always been the best and on 2 occasions i had to return 2 products one of which was an expensive item and they were just awesome, in fact I felt guilty for bringing it back, but they made me feel comfortable about the return and it was not a problem, so I really appreciated that aspect of their service. So I have now experienced both sides of their service, Buying and Returning a Product for a Refund and they scored 5 Stars each time. Thanks for great service Cheers Kev Borg

My favourite shop at Lynn Mall and one of the few places now you can still buy DVDs. Have a super selection to choose from and generally good specials. They are always worth checking out if you're in the market for something technology related.

What can you really say about the place, worth checking the prices as a comparison to the other electrical stores. They have reasonable specials and end of line/shop display goods. A good range as most others have, special prices can be negotiated with the right staff.

Always approached to see if I need assistance. The staff read you well and their sense of timing is spot on. Regular deals are attractive. I feel a new layout would inject some excitement perhaps an actual purpose built gaming section would be alluring as it could help to generate more dollars as customers would identify with that sector and stay longer to purchase more. I believe anything connected to music should at the very least be merchandised beside each other but it isn't. Looking at Cds or vinyl there are no displays of headphones there. A day or so of switching headphones etc over to where the gaming products would see a sense of logic in the way people think and add on buy if the goods are right there. I've yet to experience a staff member suggest this add on which quite frankly astonishes me. When my son purchased a PS4 bundle which came with one controller the assistant said would you like to get another controller? Also explained each of the games that could be selected. Great to have inside gaming advice. Fantastic!

If you are looking for televisions or music systems then Nahush is the perfect guy... great customer service... i bought a bose soundbar and an apple watch se... the guys at the apple counter told the watch was sold out... but Nahush got it for us from the warehouse... even the storeman Abel is an amazing helping hand... i couldnt lift the soundbar box as i had a broken back, Abel got it from the store put it in my car and with a smiling face... These 2 guys should get a pay raise... thanks jb hifi newlynn

I'm a gadgets kind of person and love looking at what's happening with and about technology. If you like this kind of a shop and technology then this is a place for you. There is so much to look at and look through you will probably spend some time looking at; Music, DVD's, Blu-ray, Vinyl records, TV, sound surround systems, stereos, mobile phones, computers, cameras, videos, all sorts of accessories. A one stop shop but I also enjoy looking at other stores and music places and look for what technology has to offer. I really appreciate looking at JB HiFi there's lots to do and choose from. Don't forget to look at other stores too, so they can all be utilised as well. I do enjoy JB HiFi and it is a great store with bargains to be had. Regards VinnieB

Too many young part timers who don't understand what customer services is. I've had a few bad experiences. They hang in groups gas bagging what they did over the weekend or they don't know their products and then they walk away. And they have a lot of staff turn over. Their specials is not as good as they used to.

No different to other JB Hi Fi stores in terms of its products. I think the staffs there could be a bit more proactive about helping customers as I've been there number of times and rarely had been asked if I needed assistance. Nevertheless, they are friendly when you go upto them to ask.

Just chiming in with a thanks to JB-HiFi. I was browsing online for a product which led me to a deal they had on their website. Being the impatient sort, I thought I'd rather just head in to pick it up as opposed to paying and waiting for shipping. I rang the store to make sure they had the stock in hand and the person on the other end of the line went and grabbed the item of the shelf and put it behind the counter. Coming in to the store half an hour later, someone on the staff recognised my request from earlier, was cordial, helpful took me to the counter and I had my item not long after. Just a really good experience all round. Thanks a lot!

Waited for an exceptionally long time to be served. The guy at the counter asked on the shop loud speaker for someone from wi-fi to come to the service desk no less than 4 times at which point someone arrived to attend someone else so he asked again. But I still hung in there. He kept saying, 'won't be long, he's coming.' Lucky I was patient. When someone did arrive - he was very knowledgeable, extremely helpful, pleasant and sold me a product cheaper than what I'd seen elsewhere. Big ups JB Hi-Fi.

I've been going there since JB Hi-Fi set up shop at Lynnmall. Pleasant staff, no matter who is there and I've seen dozens come and go. The shop gets rearranged every four years but never confusing. It's nice when they put out the rummage bins - I'll spend a couple of hours hunting.

Meh, the JB experience is getting pretty average nowadays. Warranty issues are a total nightmare, their delay and discourage playbook is extensive, they don't even believe their own invoices. And now St Lukes branch is closed, so they don't even have a branch nearby. I think they make PB look better and better.
