C.A fun shop - lots of toys at reasonable prices. They do have sales but you might only get 5-10% off (unless they're getting rid of end stock) so you might as well not wait. The staff can be a bit abrupt but treat that as efficient rather than rude.

R.This is the tech solution store for New Zealand, from parts to processors they have it all. This shop is over two floors, first floor is all the commercial products such as charge cables, lights, cameras phones etc., while the second floor is more computer parts, printers and cartridges, TV's and more. From Apple to Samsung, from Mi to Google. They pretty much stock most items you could think of, and more than a few you probably hadn't. Top tip here is to order online and then pick up in store; conveniently they have a range of stores scattered across NZ. Prices are reasonable, with "cash" discount in store. Only bug bear is the 2.5% credit card levy. Otherwise from hobbyists to engineers this place is worth visiting, even if it's just for a phone cover or new charge cable. They are also one of only two places in NZ where you can buy a Raspberry Pi, and all its components.
A.Upon entrance, greeted by the staff and helped towards the section I needed to go. This store in city has pretty much everything, and the deals they have are quite okay. (At the time of review a huge sale was ongoing). The staff are very knowledgeable about the stuff they sell and are not pushy nor too orientated towards making sales.
Would recommend if you're planning to build a PC because the guys upstairs know their stuff. pcmasterrace.

I had the best customer service experience a few years ago when I bought and was having trouble installing a new TP link ax20 router. The person on the phone really really new his stuff and his advice worked perfectly. The router is great too!
A.A medium size PB Tech showroom located on ground and 1st floor. Has all you need electronic stuff. From laptops to mobile to cables to headphones, printers, cartridges and many other things.
A.I was looking for Dji osmo 4 everywhere. i went to pb tech Auckland they had in store. I bought it right away. Staff was also really nice. They helped me to find the right product. With in 10 minutes i was out from store. Really good service.

N.Staff are very friendly and helpful, always someone available to help you, not overcrowded or understaffed like in different branch. They can answer my questions and have a wide range of products there. Always come back here and shop for techno products for since 2018 when I first arrived.

C.Went in and a staff member helped a lot. Came back and she was in a break I guess. Her replacement didn't know what I was talking about and I had to find a staff member. Searched for a free one for five minutes and then left. Easier for me to go to the bigger Glenfield branch.

a.Went to purchase a portable speaker. Had great service once I enquired about speaker that I was interested in. Attendant was helpful, listened well, and considered other options regarding my purchase options. Real nice experience

C.Great PB Tech with an awesome location. The staff there are exceptional! I purchased a couple of Apple Mini and the staff there went in and spent an hour changing the RAM for me for no additional cost. Another time I purchased a bunch of monitors and a staff member brought a trolley and took them to my car for me. My car was a couple of blocks up the road in a car park and he went all the way there to help me!

P.After a terrible experience with Noel Leeming, I cancelled my order and decided to go with PBtech. Great communication through the whole transaction. Honest regarding the stock levels and delivery time frames. Prompt delivery. I've bought a few items in the past and I have had a great experience so far. The prices and range are great, but the service definitely leaves a lot to be desired. I've been here a few times over the years and I've only had one positive experience. The last time I went here, the girl at the counter appeared to fall asleep then looked up after a couple of minutes and rudely told me I was in the wrong place and needed to go upstairs for returns. Speaking of returns, I was basically given a piece of paper and sent on my way so I had been to actually prompt the customer service representative to tell me what the process will be because I don't know what this random piece of paper is? You don't get a refund straight away, apparently I will be "contacted directly" which is confusing because I am already in the store, why can't I receive a refund now? Confusing and slightly rude service, but great product range and prices!

A.The pricing can be kept low for laptops, drones from current levels. The students offer could be introduced more often. The retail margins are little higher though. I had bought a lock for my electric scooter for 40 NZD which I then found it for 4 to 6 NZD with exactly the same colour, features and size. Overall a good place for electronics' shopping
T.I purchase a lot of technology hardware. I'm a Mathematician who has mainly worked in IT (Information Technology). Often I head out to PB Tech's head office in Manukau when I want advice on hardware. But sometimes I run out of time or can't afford the gas so I use the Queen Street branch. It's smaller, the staff aren't quite as technology knowledgeable but they are always willing to help and if they don't know the answer to a detailed hardware question, they admit it and ask a more knowledgeable staff member. In all branches of PB Tech across the Auckland Region that I have visited I have sensed a very happy work culture making shopping at any PB Tech enjoyable rather than a chore.
S.I should start with the fact that I've bought nearly all of my PC parts from PB Tech over the past 5+ years. I commonly visit the Queen St Branch and try to keep in loop with their newsletters and offers. I've seen the branch grow from a single floor outlet to a more presentable showroom display area (so trendy) with a second floor for PC hardware.
The most import thing to note about PB Tech is their available selection of electronics/entertainment products. Their prices can be pretty good at times and they occasionally have massive sales.
The staff have been helpful and knowledgeable every single time I've visited. Whether I'm visiting to build a new PC or I'm there to buy a surge protector, each of them considers what products would fit my needs best.
Sometimes my experience is overshadowed by the quality of the products. I have had quite a few negative experiences over the years with their products: faulty RAM, faulty monitor, cables that don't work (albeit cheap), etc. I can at least commend them for having great return policies, often sending the products back to the manufacturer -- while more inconvenient than an in-store replacement -- to have the item replaced.
All in all they're pretty good, and considering there's not a lot of other options in New Zealand, I'll keep going back.

PB Technologies is one of the best electronic chains in the city. This one, over Queen city near Guardian building, is one of the many branches of PB Technologies around the city.
Well located over Queen Street and can be easily spotted from a moving vehicle in normal traffic. Conveniently approachable.
Well managed and organised. Spacious walking area to browse around. Good atmosphere and comfortable ambiance.
Friendly and quick service. Helpful staff. Most of the times, we have been able to find the things we needed at this store. Very handy at times.
Card as well as cash payments are accepted.
No seating is available for the customers.
There is no dedicated parking area available although street parking can be found around the entrance. Wheelchair parking is not available. Entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
C.A very well stocked and presented electronics good showroom. It's a good place to hangout, if you're a tech nerd or bestbplave to buy stuff as it got everything you can imagine. For those who are traveling from abroad, the pricing is bit higher in compared to other countries. (That's general in NZ).
H.A decent place to buy you're electronics! They offer a year's worth of warranty for free! Other competitors aren't the same!
N.These guys are awesome. Ran into the store yesterday ten minutes before close, website showed Downtown had 1 in stock. The item I wanted wasn't on the floor so they had to check the stockroom. It wasnt there so they went to check the basement... It wasn't there! They said they'd get it shipped out to me free of charge so I made the purchase - the next day it arrived by urgent courier - spectacular customer service!! A+ for PB!
J.Not sure if my timing is off but it was really hot inside. Please double check the price because around december 2019 the items we want to buywas 5 to 10 dollars expensive than in noelleeming. There are times though that they were way cheaper than the rest of the stores. I got a feeling that the store is kind of a warehouse, stuffs are all over the place.
E.Small PB tech store so selection isn't great. Tidy layout however and if you want a computer or phone you should be sorted
E.Seriously the best computer and electronics stores in NZ, a massive range of stock and the staff know their stuff. I'm yet to come in with a weird enquiry that they can't help me with. If they don't have the item that you need in store they will find it in one of their other shops. Also their online store is brilliant and lets you know what stock they have in which store before you even leave the house!

S.I think it has to be the best outlet to buy the electronic products and computer peripherals just because of the sheer range and pricing in NZ. Bought gaming keyboard from here. The service is top notch as it should be from any big store. The staff is helpful and easily approachable unlike other stores where u need to find one. 5-star rating worthy store for me.

A.PB Tech is where the smart electronics shoppers shop. Helpful staff, very good everyday prices. I buy office equipment and home IT equipment almost always from here.
J.Good variety of products I personally had a a really good experience with the launch event for one major brand but floor staff (including cashiers) could be better trained in customer service skills. Managers however are really attentive and nice.
D.PB Tech has surprised me (positively) more than once. It is not always the cheapest place, but you can trust in them. I buy a lot in PB Tech but two experiences were over the top. I bought a laptop that had some broken pixels and when I took it back they changed it right away. In another occasion I bought a smart light that had a weird defect and took time to find out it was broken, after 5 months from the purchase they gave me a full refund because there were no stock of that particular light. I'm amazed at how customer focused they are and I couldn't find that attitude in many places (although it should be the norm). Also, PB Tech is one of the few places you can find whatever you need for your computer and smart home... they could improve delivery times though, but still, being trust-worthy deserves a 5 star rating. Keep up the good work!
M.Excellent for getting all your much needed tech supplies. They are one of the few retail stockiest of individual computer components and parallel imported gear. Worth checking out, just keep in mind they have GST excluded prices if your shopping for yourself.

M.Decent deals for a convenient retail experience, it's ultimately cheaper to go deal hunting online but the ease of just walking into a store is a plus. Would be five stars but it takes ages for credit card payments to go through.
L.PB tech has a great range with very competitive pricing, and their Queen St branch is no exception. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful, with a great knowledge of their products while still being down to earth. I recently replaced my old phone with a Samsung A5 2016 from here and I could not be happier with the service I received!

D.Closest one to my location and sad to say that it's quite a bar experience shopping there. You asking anything to do with stock and where it is they pull there phone out and search the website.... I have also previously done this and told them they had stock and they just gave me a blank stare.
Anyway, after that I just ignored it but then we bought a item which they failed to tell me it needed three external parts to get it working. So after we left I found that out and had to drive all the way back. Got home and turned out I STILL needed a external part after being told otherwise.
There online team is however extremely good, they reply very fast and sort out returns with no hassles so If I could I would give a 5 star for that.

E.PBTech carries stock for an extraordinary amount of gadgets and tech stuff. Sometimes they're not the cheapest option around compared to parallel imported "online-only" shops, but they often do price matching if you ask. The staff is usually helpful, even tho they tend to get really busy.
Keep an eye for their specials online!
B.I love PB Tech and rarely go elsewhere for office or home electronics. Good prices, a vast selection of gear - including brands you can't get elsewhere and awesome customer service.

D.I bought a Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard from PB Tech almost 3 years ago and it broke down last night. Brought the keyboard back to its customer service centre this morning and I got a replacement with no questions asked. Most importantly, the staff there was extremely friendly and professional. Very impressed with their service.

G.UPDATE: The store is no longer upstairs and wow it's organised so much better than my half a year old review below. Seems they lost their service desk though if I'm to understand the guy I asked about trying to fix my laptop. Feels more like a phone and game store now than misc hardware.
I'll start with reasons why it deserves at least a 4, as in it meets all expectations and/or I still left satisfied, there are sales and support staff everywhere and they will gladly give you 5 minutes of their time to help you debug something or show you where on the shelves the item you need may be. Reasons why it also should be a 3 or 4 though: good luck finding anything you need without help. The layout is overwhelming with people and parts everywhere and seemingly no signage as to what is where... So just ask a sales rep. Also, you can EASILY pass PBT's entrance on the street without knowing, and even once you've found this grand hallway and stairs, you may feel very hesitant to walk up stairs to find the shop. All in all though, I actually went there twice in one day to help find parts / debug an issue for 2 different devices and would go again.
m.Always a top user experience. Outstanding customer service in both sales and support, efficient website, peace of mind if things go south with a product. Highly recommended.

S.In a last 6 years bought 2 desktop PCs and 2 monitors, phone and tablet. One 25" monitor and video card died after 4 years. Both desktops PCs had same problem with video card and power supply. Tablet had problems as well. Basically, every single item I have bought from them had some sort of problem within a warranty period. I had no problems getting it serviced for free during warranty period.
T.Auckland CBD staff are very helpful and friendly. The store has a really wide selection of everything IT. I was up visiting from Wellington where I shop at PB Tech all the time and was able to find everything I needed for my Auckland client.
I.Quite clean and look spacious which is nice for me. The staffs are friendly. The place had many laptops for display. The grouping of products is bit confusing .

S.Went to PB Tech yesterday to pick up an external Wi-Fi adapter. The assistant was very friendly, knew what she was talking about and didn't try to con us into buying a more expensive product that we didn't need. M.As with most PB's remember to bargain with them on price. Other than that, the layout of this shop is unfriendly, in the sense that it is tucked away up in a building, and people who 'just browse' are treated with suspicion.
T.Better online because their stock isn't always where you think it would be. They do their best to up sell you which is fair enough. But just order online.
