M.One of the largest ranges of tech products you will find, and the online shopping/store pickup experience is fantastic, although you cannot use this option for all products for some reason. Not always the best prices (so shop around first), and the in-store experience is quite mixed. Good store layout but staff not particularly friendly or helpful.
L.My experience was as expected, excellent. They had the products I was looking for and the staff were very helpful and friendly to deal with. The only thing I had issue with was the wait time to talk to an employee on the floor, this could just have been because it was a busy time of the day and year. However they could have rostered on extra staff for the busy period. I will definitely be returning as they are much more handy to me than the Hornby store.
N.Staff friendly and helpful. Staff member collected everything we needed and answered our questions regardingthe printer. Then ordered the toner they didn't have in the store so we don't run out when the initial toner is used. Nice quick and easy
M.Always helpful, and the prices are very fair. Click and collect is convenient, and if it's quiet, you can usually pick up your items within a few hours of placing the order, assuming they're in stock.
C.Great place for your tech needs. Car park is a mite on the small side so maneuvering the ute was a bit more complicated, however nowhere near a deal breaker. Suggest you go here as the main south road shop usually has queues!
N.Wonderful clean and bright store. Well laid out. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend going here if you live closer to it rather than the Hornby branch.
R.Great range of product. I know two of the team members quite well so tend to get looked after. However customer service if I don't deal with these two leaves a hell of a lot to be desired, and I mean an awful lot. If there's one thing that's a common theme across PBTech NZ it seems to be, take the money as quick as you can and make the aftersales experience as long and difficult as possible.

R.I've enjoyed all my experiences so far at this location, the staff here are far better than the hornby branch. For a few years I refused to give PBTech another cent due to them screwing me over on a known defective phone, ever since this central location has opened I've been purchasing from them again as PBTech remains the cheapest nationwide supplier of tech goods.
M.Really helpful staff, the guy at the door was kind. The place is warehouse-ish, so you can't go to physically look at the products, if you live far from PB tech, you can go onto the website and order in. The prices is the best.
M.First time in the shop @ st Asaph Street, definitely would recommend, the guy's here know there stuff, I got my Samsung galaxy 22 ultra with a bundle deal, very happy
R.Staff are always friendly and helpful. If you have a wholesale account here, check the price they are charging you at the counter compared to your online price, for me they always try to charge more and I have to correct them manually each time.
S.Shop was good, parking was a nightmare though. Nearly had a crash because a car rushed in while we were reversing

I.As an online store, PB are great. But the experience in store leaves a lot to be desired. There is lackluster service and confusion at the checkout due to the lack of seperation of people generally waiting in the que and online order pick-ups. Seems like an easy fix.

R.First time going into the physical store as I'm from Dunedin. Everyone was very kind and gave lots of information. Really happy with the Nzxt kraken x73 360mm aio white that I bought. They even held the item for me until I arrived the next day. Definitely reccomend.
P.Nice shop, not amazing customer service and terrible post purchase support.
But these are the things you've got to deal with if you don't want to be taken advantage of by the likes of Harvey Norman.
R.If you're looking for advice on building a pc go and see Zack. He's very knowledgeable, great to deal with and super fast. If you're in need of a service technician however, head out to their hornby store. The technician here made lots of excuses and told me that I'd probably broken several parts of my $5500 gaming pc build that I'd bought here the previous day. It was literally a two minute fix but he said he couldn't even look at it for at least 7 days. Thanks Zack and the friendly technicians in hornby.

M.Not the best pbtech i have been to alot smaller than the one in hornby and I dont think I saw alot of computer part just alot of laptops cameras and other sort of tech but other than the lack of computer parts it was pretty good
P.Shame the display area is almost nonexistent at the moment. That said I was advised and served by a great young man and the goods are living up to the expectations.
A.The queue was just too long for 'click and collect' the last time I visited the store.
Good products, great price
M.PB Tech is a great company to check all things computers. If they can't help you out they will certainly point you in the right direction. From time to time they do have great specials. They have dedicated parking but it is limited on the street. If you anything give them a call they will courier out product orders.
A.My Husband just loves this shop it has everything to do with gadgets, electronics & cars etc

A.Exceptional service! Could not fault the service I just got from Tate Jiang. Greeted me quickly after entering then took me straight to where I needed to go. Asked great questions and listened to what I needed and sold me exactly what I needed. Told me why I needed to spend a little more and justified it brilliantly. Saved me time and was really easy to deal with. Thank you Tate I will be back again!

I have to say how wonderful Sarah Walker was with helping us today. She went the extra mile with my 13 year son Toby buying a cellphone and helping us with what else he needed. Sarah needs to be praised for being amazing with us today.
M.This PBTech is more "compact" than others. Despite there being a sale on, when I visited in the weekend, there were only 2 sales staff on deck and one checkout open. This resulted in poor service (noone was manning the technical service desk either) and very long wait times. I certainly hope they can do better in the future, as I am a fan of PBTech in general. The items I bought work as intended. I might return, as it is closer to me than the Hornby shop.
S.A great place for technology. Reasonable prices and quite knowledge staff. You can buy in one shop and pick stuff up from a related store, which has been handy for me in the past. Highly recommended

j.Smaller than their Hornby store but seemed to have a good product range. Good displays. Still a few gaps on the shelves but PB Tech probably have high product turnover making it hard to keep products in stock. Tiny carpark which seems standard for PB Tech stores! At least it is quieter than Hornby so easier to get assistance from staff. Staff are helpful. Good prices compared to other retailers. Of course checking online before shopping in store is the best option to make sure you are getting the best price.

C.Super amazing team, I was looking to buy a new monitor I tried going to a different store but no one really helped. There was such large amount of options and the super friendly staff helped me picked the right one for me.
C.You should take a picnic baskets next time you visit. A great establishment for all things tech. I definetly suggest you look here for anything computer, phone, tech and toys before one of the national box stores. I purchased an ele yroc scooter there and had an issue with it that they rectified on the spot.

R.The new Pbtech store in St Asaph is fantastic! I was greeted by a sales assistant after I was in store for 10 minutes, instead of being hounded within 2 minutes of my arrival. This made me feel more relaxed and comfortable and I believe this attributed to me buying a vent magnet based phone mount for my car, something I have desperately needed for a very long time now. And then I bought what I came in for, the rather excellent Samsung EVO 870 2.5" SSD.
Very clean and modern store with just enough parking too, a rare find in the CBD for a 10/30 minute stop type business to have.
Highly recommended as 'your place of tech'

R.A great experience shopping for a new computer, they were so helpful and really steered me in the right direction for what I needed and didn't try to upsell me with a expensive computer that had more features than I needed, they even offered me a cheaper option of the same brand, but I decided to go with the more expensive one, only $150 more, but much faster and more storage
