Life savers! Truly. On arrival with my computer in terminal condition, Terry was calm and optimistic. Just what I needed. Brad worked magic behind the scenes and managed to restore my computer and all it's files to better than before. We got Terry to help us out with our laptops, transferring information and data from one laptop to another, purchasing a new laptop, printer and chrome book. I had a great experience getting my 2012 Macbook Pro repaired. The team at the Computer Doctor were very transparent about cost expectations and were responsive when I made queries. They also answered all of my questions when I asked, and made sure I was across quotes for the repair. The price was also far more reasonable and means the life of my laptop has been repaired, which I am grateful for. Terry assisted me with handing my computer in and returning it to me, he answered all my questions and gave me sound advice on how to best look after and care for my computer as well as great advice as to how often I need to service it. I needed to upgrade my old laptop and settled on the Computer Doctor as a choice because of the size, location and reviews of the company. It was the right choice. As soon as I walked into the office I was welcomed and details quickly recorded. Subsequently the technician advised me on the upgrade possibilities. Communication with technical staff was responsive and the end result was an old laptop which performs like new. I recommend the Computer Doctor as a capable and trustworthy operation.

I had my laptop serviced for liquid damage last year and my phone screen not too long after. Staff were professional, friendly and helpful. They were willing to let me pay it off bit by bit (for laptop), and I’d say decently priced considering how genuine Apple parts can be quite expensive to replace. Absolute lifesavers! My Macbook's logic board broke. Apple Certified fixers we're going to charge me for a new one (at least two grand minimum). I was warned against using someone that wasn't certified Apple fixer... but when I found out The Computer Dr had fixed my boyfriend's Macbook, I decided to give them a go, and I'm so glad I did! They not only fixed my logic board in a timely manor, they loaned me a computer, and fixed my broken key board for no extra charge! :D

This place is AMAZING! I've stayed in many places across the world, always taking a computer with me and constantly running into issues while travelling. I had a uniquely difficult problem to solve with my laptop and was sure I wouldn't be able to get it fixed in New Zealand, I was almost right, until I found this place. The receptionist remembered my name and was well clued up on my situation and I also really enjoyed how they were able to diagnose my computer for a strange issue that other places could not diagnose. The Computer Doctor staff were polite, friendly, and took an interest in what I wanted done (a hard drive upgrade), in stark contrast to staff at Oobe. (This was disappointing given that Oobe are supposed to be the Mac specialists). They even gave helpful information about selling my old hard drive to offset some of the cost. The job was quickly done, no problems afterwards and the staff were good about taking a following up phone call about how to log back in following the system update they carried out. They even offered to pick the computer up if I had difficulty getting away from work to drop it in during business hours. In short, I am very pleased with the Computer Doctor and would recommend them to others.

Terry went well above and beyond his obligation to provide me with a solution to my rather unique Macbook Pro problem. An overall positive experience from clearly one of the most professional and capable companies in the business. I came to The Computer Doctor with a Macbook Pro that had been run over by a Ute and although was still functional was bent like a banana. I was looking to get my MacBook Pro's casing replaced which the team was able to help with. They offered me a second hand casing for a reasonable price which I gladly accepted. The replacement was carried out on time and to a great standard, with great communication from the team. The whole experience was very positive. However, I noticed in the following weeks that the second hand part had a defect. After reaching out to Terry to explain the situation he agreed to help fix the issue. Terry went above and beyond to fix this issue despite many complications that arose throughout the process. In the end I ended up with a brand-new MacBook Pro casing and now have a laptop that appears to be functioning as it was before the accident. Terry without a doubt stands by his service and more than fulfils his professional obligation to the customer in an industry that has been known to have dodgy operators. I recommend The Computer Doctor to anybody looking for an honest and professional company to help with your electronic issues.

What can i say but brilliant service! from the moment i walked in the door i was greeted with a smile and happy cheerful staff member. I needed my apple Mac book air battery replaced in limited time. The battery was not in stock but the manager sourced the battery quickly and this was replaced with in 2 hours. Outstanding service to say the least. Helpful and easy to deal with. Very rare to encounter such excellence in customer service and to show they genuinely care. I will be back to get my iphone battery replaced and screen prtotecter upgraded when needed. I was rather wary of using a repair company to repair my MacBook Pro which wasn't run by Apple - we don't have one in NZ. I had heard some horror stories of damage to Mac OS devices and iOS devices by some accredited Apple repairers in Christchurch. However I need not have worried. My first contact with the company was the receptionist who was attentive and knowledgeable. Brad was assigned to the job which he completed satisfactorily . I would be happy to use the company again.

I phoned The Computer Doctor for advice after getting the dreaded sad face folder on my Mac. Terry and his team were fantastic from the outset. I took my laptop in, they outlined basic problems and costs, diagnosed the problem, emailed with options to fix the problem, provided advice and a recommendation based on my needs over the phone, recovered all my data and put it on what feels like a brand new laptop. Over all the customer service was impeccable, the knowledgable team didn't do anything without checking with me, they didn't over promise, but they did over deliver. Thank you team.

These people were excellent. My laptop wasn't working so I took it to Computer Doctor on Blenheim Road. They wanted to try a couple of quick fixes instead of me leaving it with them, so they took it upstairs to their workshop, returning a minute or two later with a working laptop. The RAM chip had gone and they replaced it with one that 'happened to be lying on the bench'. No charge. Amazing.

I highly recommend these guys, the service, speed and quality of their work is really high standard. My only regret is not finding them sooner!!! I had taken my computer in to another 'same day repairer' not only was the service non existent but this other repairer recklessly destroyed data and claimed to have 'fixed' my hard drive by fixing a wire in it (My computer was never opened by him) and wiping my hard drive and installing OS again. Of course I had the same problems still going on with my computer, I managed to get most of my $285.00 back - but he kept $50.00 for his troubles. I still needed someone to fix my hard drive, and then I found the wonderful people at The Computer Doctor - their service in comparison to my previous experience and sheer skill and professionalism was a breath of fresh air and they saved my data on the same failing hard drive! Don't make my mistake people choose these guys first ,I really wish I had , I lost a lot of valuable work and data and paid for it!

Came all the way from Germany to Christchurch to support the 2019 SOFIA mission and first thing I realized at the hotel - the internal display of my 2015 Macbook was not working any longer. Fortunately the closest repair shop was The Computer Doctor. Professional service on my device (right questions upfront / several test equipment set up for deeper troubleshooting etc.) startet right away. I have owned 3 computers in the last 15 years and still counting. In that time we have had very little need of support simply because Terry only uses top quality products. I would not hesitate in recommending the Computer Doctor for all your Computer and Mobile Phone support. Yes he also replaced the screen on my Samsung S5 several years ago, again used only genuine parts. Prompt friendly service and when you do need help, you are talking to technically qualified people who do actually answer the phone and know their stuff.

Very helpful. Brought my macbook in as I was concerned about being hacked. Nick listened very patiently to my concerns and for the urgent fees managed to get the problem sorted within a few hours and even cleaned it! He even called twice and updated me along the way. UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW 30/7/2020: I have continued to use Terry and his team for a umber of issues (mostly Mac/iPhone related) and every time they have excelled my expectations. Most recently was an MacBook Pro that had been pronounced dead by two other companies. Terry took it for a few days and then used one of his motherboard specialists and now it's working fine and saved me about $3500! Then my iPhone which needed a new battery - no problem, and even put on a new glass screen protector gratis (something the sharks at the mall will bump you for an extra $20). Use these guys and you won't regret it. A hidden gem! Took an Apple MacBook Pro in for a battery replacement. These guys were fast, efficient, reasonably priced (i.e. much better price than other big brand outlets) and friendly. They know their stuff, turned the job around within hours and only use official Apple branded parts. I will be using them again now I know.

I tried to be too smart by removing a redundant screw from the motherboard of my laptop (which apparently wasn't) to hold down the SSD but ended up breaking the mount. Took it down to this company and one of their employees was so kind enough to suggest me an easy way to fix it up by myself which otherwise would have cost me somewhere around $100 or so had if I took it some other place. Very professional and humble!! 👍👍
