Stress-free build. We met so many builders but it was only after we met Marty that we had an instant connection with him. He knew exactly what we needed and always delivered more than what we expected. We started building when we were 6 months into our second pregnancy and cannot emphasize enough on how stress-free the whole process was. Marty and his team were always there when we needed them with excellent advice and always on time. We would never recommend anyone else on doing a better job.

My husband and I built a home though Murchison Homes in 2019. We met Marty in February and were made to feel instantly comfortable. We had visited many other building companies and felt the personal touch was missing. With Marty, we felt a connection, and that was important to us. Right throughout the process we felt listened to. Marty very quickly got to know who we were as a family and designed a home with our needs totally in mind. Marty was extremely professional. He kept us informed throughout the entire building process and was always just a phone call away. I would have no hesitation in recommending him and the Murchison Homes team to anyone who is planning to take the housebuilding journey. In the words of my 15 year old Son: “We made the best decision ever when we decided to build with Marty. We not only met someone to build our house, but we also met a lifelong friend!”

I've been working with Marty for nearly a year now and the way he runs his business is just magic. He isn't like the so called 'big dogs' that build 50 spec houses a year just to sell them off to make a big buck. Marty cares about his clients and this adds a real personal touch to his build. Marty and his team are friendly and professional and I have really enjoyed working with Marty and the team at Murchison Homes. Keep up the good work guys :)

I began my journey with Marty at Murchison Homes early in 2019 when I met him at a local A & P show. When I decided to look into building it was like the A & P show had only been the day before. Marty shared some ideas and got a feel for what I was looking at. The entire process was very easy and streamlined with Marty being involved the entire way from making adjustments on the designs, going around all the options for kitchen, bathroom etc, through to the final product being delivered. It's been great working with the team at Murchison homes who have all helped to create an amazing home to a very high standard and within budget for me as a first home buyer. The fact that I was able to check out the progress when ever I liked and could email, call, or pop into the office anytime was a huge help, and made me feel like I was part of the team.

We have been designing homes for Murchison Homes since mid-2019. Marty is a down to earth guy, who really goes above and beyond to ensure his clients are happy and getting the best value for money. We have found him great to deal with and we are looking forward to continuing doing business with him.

We began our journey with Murchison homes in early 2019. Marty visited our existing home to see how we used the space and what other elements we would require in this home. We worked closely with Marty who adjusted and improved our ideas into our dream home. The build began in May and with Marty’s help and guidance it ran smoothly and we chose all our fittings and colours stress free with the help of Murchison Homes Team. All the tradesmen worked to the highest quality and ensured our home was built to the highest standard. At the beginning of September we moved into our new home. Murchison Homes made the process so easy and enjoyable and assisted us to stay close to our budget. We would recommend them to anyone who would like to build. John and Dianne Davidson

Marty made the process of building our new house stress-free and enjoyable. He was considerate of our ideas and wishes and could always be relied upon to keep us well-informed during every stage of the build. He sets high standards of workmanship and can be trusted to solve any problems quickly.

I feel that I am very lucky to have built my house with Murchison Homes. I had a goal of building an affordable house on a reasonable budget, and that was exactly what happened. Marty and the team he put together have done an amazing job, going well beyond my expectations. At every stage of build, starting from design, going through available selections, and all the way until final touch-ups, Marty has been there to guide, advise and smooth over any problems. Even dealing with stubborn engineers, or going through paperwork with the council, did not seem like much of a problem after all. I was also able to request variations to the build, even quite late in the process, and there were no problems with meeting my requests. In the end, the team managed to complete the build on time, within my budget, and with quality of workmanship that was even more than I expected. I am very, very happy with my new house.

Why We Chose Marty and Murchison Homes? We were ready to downsize from our lifestyle property but could not find a suitable place for us to call our ‘forever home’ so building exactly what we wanted, seemed the only option. We had built with a building company before and said ‘never again’. When we realized city life wasn’t for us we did need to build again; this time on our lifestyle property. We project managed that build which was great but very full on and once again we said ‘never again’. Marty’s simple 7 step philosophy was the initial attraction to Murchison Homes and as a local with a passion for the area, it was a great choice to start our journey with him. Marty listened to our needs, gave us options to consider, visited our existing home to help him understand the features (and furniture) we still wished to include in our smaller home and then helped us source the perfect site at Oakfields. We were excited and pleasantly surprised with the initial concept plans Marty created and only ended up making a few minor changes. We had no doubts knowing that the build was going to start while we were away for 8 weeks, and returned to see our home for the first time at the ‘roof on’ stage. Marty kept us informed, including photos! the whole time. Marty, Rick and their team have been awesome to work with and their high standards and expectation to have it right, are really admirable. It was wonderful to get the keys to our new home in December 2019. We say ‘never again’ but this time it’s because we have our perfect forever home. Thanks Marty.

We have recently moved into our new home built by Murchison Homes. From the moment we walked into the show home and met Marty we felt comfortable. He was friendly, professional and interested in our story and what we wanted in a home. This continued throughout the build. Marty walked beside us the whole way, from help purchasing our section to handing over the keys. He kept us up to date and fully informed with the progress and joined us for visits to the site throughout the build. Any challenges were noted and dealt with quickly and efficiently. Kia ora, Im Rangi from R & B FIXING LTD (Plasterboard Fixing Specialists) and my interaction with Murchison Homes has been a great experience with a very positive team who are all involved within different parts of the business. Everyone i have met onsite have all been a pleasure to work with. Marty the owner is a very cheerful happy guy and is so easy to get along with and always makes us feel welcome and comfortable. I feel very fortunate to be part of his working team as he pumps out alot of work which is just what every tradie needs. I like the work locations out at Amberley Woodend & North Canterbury as well. The time frames of jobs have been good in keeping in line with the scheduled dates for me.
