David from FCHI was absolutely fabulous to deal with. And I was impressed with the quality of service. He had obviously spent a great deal of time looking at all the small details of the house in a methodical way. This was reflected in a very detailed report which outlined all the concerns with good pictures to refer to. They arranged with the real estate agents for a time and day to do inspection and I had the report within 24 hours of that inspection. I would highly recommend this company as professional and efficient and wouldn't hesitate to use them or refer others to them in the future

very happy with the inspection done by Dave. Dave is very friendly, honest and will answer any question you have. if wasn't for him, I would have bought a home which potentially cost me alot of headache and financial stress. he even suggested we terminate the inspection half way through to save me a few hundred of dollars for a full report. we eventually found another house and I called Dave and again, Dave did service was great with a very detail but easy to understand report. Dave answered my call even it was after hour when I had a few concerns after reading the report. I highly recommend Dave if you need a piece of mind when buying a house.

We engaged First Choice to investigate and report on an on-going issue with a roof leak at a rental property. David from First Choice responded immediately, arranged access with the tenant, attended and investigated the issue and provided an excellent report with very good photos. We can't recommend First Choice House Inspections enough. Dave was very punctual and professional throughout the process. That however is to be expected. What sets FCHI a part from the competition however is their eye to detail and a willingness to go above and beyond. Dave was meticulous with his inspection. He checked every corner of the property and even got up onto the roof, on a cold and windy day. The inspection lead to around $20k of repairs being done to the property, including an entire new roof and a number of leaks being fixed. If Dave had not been as meticulous as he was, that bill would've easily ended up in our pockets shortly after purchasing our first property. We are truly grateful for the service, the outcome and their willingness to follow up beyond the inspection date. Use FCHI for peace of mind.

The building report is clear and concise. It leaves nothing out and an honest report. David was pleasant and polite and great to deal with. Highly recommend him.

Dave carried out a number of inspections for us during our period of house searching. He was always responsive and very quick to arrange the inspections and final reporting. This enabled us to get early offers in and ultimately left us in a strong position to offer. Dave found multiple issues with properties and even advised us not to go forward with the full report on one occasion due to the issues he had seen. This saved us a fair few dollars. With Dave, you are getting trusted advice. I just read a negative review on here and feel that I have to comment, as I do not think that it was very fair. Dave provides a service that checks for all of the obvious visual issues. He can only go with what he can see on the day. If it has been hot with no rain, his moisture meter will not pick up any moisture... because the house will be dry. Simple as that. He did find water ingress on one of our inspections, so I saw his process first hand. He is very thorough. With regards to rotten timbers and sub-floors, how on earth is he going to know this? He is not a magician! His website clearly gives you the correct guidance. He can't see everything. If you want to go into massive detail, then spend 6 to 10 times the amount on a full structural survey. Dave, thanks ever so much for the support that you gave us during our process.
