I have followed Karen from a different dental clinic, as I really liked my first experience with her. Very professional, comforting and caring. She again did an amazing job today and my teeth felt so clean and fresh after the treatment. I highly recommend Karen. The rest of the staff were very friendly too.

I was searching for a dentist to do an Invisalign treatment and chose Accent Dentists because of their good reviews. We have now finished all procedures and I can say they deserve every inch of praise they receive. I am so beyond happy with my results and the whole experience here. Matt was amazing and super friendly and it was always nice to see Lucy's friendly face - she was super accommodating and easy to deal with. I actually enjoyed coming to the dentists here. I recommend this place to all my friends and family. :)

I recently had my Veneers replaced on my Front teeth at Accent Dental with Dentist Matt. I was very nervous initially but I found the experience from start to finish friendly, professional and I am very happy with the end result. My new Veneers look extremely natural and I have not experienced discomfort at any stage. I would absolutely recommend Matt and his lovely Team. Thanks so much.

This was a five star experience for me from beginning to end. Lucy and Matt were warmly welcoming. Matt was personable and engaging in his diagnosis and clear with the options. Without fuss, he and Gemma expertly resolved my dental issue and when he handed me the mirror at the end, my expectations were well exceeded. That was a wow! Matt is an outstanding dentist. But an outstanding dentist with an average team adds up to an average experience. His team of Lucy and Gemma are so good with their roles that Matt could totally focus on me, do his magic and I could just relax. This five star team experience was the biggest wow for me. Last time I was at this place was three years ago. I remembered it today when I was looking for a dentist in Auckland CBD for urgent crown replacement. Looked them up on Google Maps, called them, and a super quick, efficient lady found me in the system and booked me in for the soonest appointment available. I remember being impressed with everyone's professionalism and friendliness there. Can't wait for my appointment!!!

I saw the Accent team for the first time a few weeks ago and now won’t be going anywhere else! Karen was a delight with a great thorough clean, and Matt fixed a gap in my tooth that I had been self-conscious of with no trouble. Gemma’s calm presence in the surgery room and Lucy’s smile on the front desk makes for a winning team! Thanks again guys.

Had my first appointment this past week and cannot express how happy I am with the team at Accent Dental, from the moment I walked in the door it was an inviting environment that made me feel at ease. Lucy at the front desk was super helpful with the forms and made sure I felt comfortable while I waited - a great asset to the Accent team. Karen did such an incredible job and my teeth have never felt so clean and she even took the time to educate me about looking after my smile! Overall could not be happier and will definitely be back!

Matt and his team are all AMAZING. Matt just makes you wanna hang with him - it's how he makes you feel that does it....he makes you feel like the most respected, cared about, awesome person he's ever treated. I got a tooth pulled out and he made me feel like the toughest, most awesome tooth patient who'd ever had the procedure. Cannot recommend Accent Dentists highly enough. The team at Accent Dentist are very warm and welcoming. I had an appointment with their hygienist, Karen and she was amazing. She was very kind, professional and made me feel very relaxed. I can't recommend Matt highly enough for his high level of care & professionalism. He would be the gentlest dentist I have ever visited. He produces excellent work and outcomes, has great attention to detail, takes the time to explain everything so well, and is very understanding & compassionate. When I visit Matt I know and trust that I am getting the best care available. Paris is an excellent hygienist, my gum health has improved in leaps and bounds following her visits, recommendations and instructions. I have learnt so much from Matt & Paris which has empowered me to make positive changes to my dental health. Accent is a wonderful team of highly skilled people that care and are always so welcoming when you walk through their door.

I can’t recommend Matthew and his team highly enough. Professional, courteous, and friendly Matt and his team really made me feel I’m in safe hands and really eased my fears of seeing a dentist. I had tooth filling this morning. The whole procedure was pain free from the starting of the injection till the end of the polishing. Matt is also very informative. I’m not a native English speaker but Matt explained my situation in a way I can fully understand. Overall the best dental experience ever.

Matt and the team... dont think there is anything I can say to accurately describe how wonderful he and the team are. I recently had to have a tooth pulled due to my braces. Matt made the a stressful situation an absolute breeze. He has a calm kind presence that gets you through what can be a very unpleasant experience. I took my 3yo son to see Karen to make sure everything is growing OK and that there are no problems with his teeth. Karen is an absolute gem and so natural with kids. She made is so fun and comfortable for my son and he's now going around the house wanting to brush his teeth properly. He has had a very positive first dental experience and he wouldn't hesitate to come back for the next check up. The rest of the staff there were lovely too.

I have never been a very comfortable patient at the dentist and had held off for somewhat longer than I should have... However Matt and his team were exceptional, putting me at ease in a super friendly and relaxed environment. In a single visit Matt dealt with a few long overdue issues with clear and simple options, without any pain or discomfort for which I am greatly appreciative. Additionally I have just finished my first session with Paris, the hygienist, who has an equally compassionate and understanding demeanor for patients with a nervous disposition like mine. I've been seeing Karen as my hygienist for 10 years and have followed her from Milford. She always gives me information of how my teeth and gums are and compares them to historical visits. She's very thorough and my mouth always feels great after a visit with her. I highly recommend Karen.

I cannot recommend Matt and his team at Accents Dental Ponsonby highly enough. I unfortunately broke my front toother playing sports a few weeks back. The following day I rang Matt and his team and they fit me in with an emergency appointment straight away. A few days later I had a temporary crown in place and measurements for my permanent crown taken and sent to Matt's magical technician. The whole experience was so easy and professional. My front teeth are identical and you wouldn't even know I had a crown. I cannot thank them enough. Ciara

As someone who doesn't enjoy a trip to the dentist, I was pleasantly surprised and found Karen to be warm and friendly, she completely put me at ease. The practice is light and airy and welcoming and I have already recommended her to friends and family.

I found out about Accent Dentists based from Google reviews roughly a year ago when I was looking to find a higher quality/better dentists near work. Wasn't entirely sure at first but gave a go based on the reviews. I think i've never looked back ever since. The team there is highly professional, and Matt is probably the least invasive dentist I've ever had the pleasure of seeing! Paris also does a phenomenal job and my gum/teeth has never looked this healthier. Highly recommended!

I can not speak highly enough about Matt Sumner and his team at Accent Your Dentists. Matt genuinely cares about his patients and their dental health and makes you feel comfortable from the get go. A great communicator, he takes the time to explain what is going on with your teeth and then outlines the treatment plan options available to you which I really liked. Matt has the kind of attention to detail that you want in a Dentist and he will keep you informed throughout the treatment which I know helped me to be relaxed. I was also impressed with the latest technology on site including the creation and fitting of crowns in one visit. That is amazing! If you need some cosmetic dentistry - I can't recommend Matt and his team highly enough. I needed a front tooth crown replaced and the match is absolutely perfect, right down to the finest detail. As a long-term dentist avoider I was very pleasantly surprised by the calm and stress-free way that Matt and his team looked after me. My treatment was painless and Matt provided an informative running commentary on what he was doing and why that went a long way to allaying my (unfounded ) fears - I would recommend Accent Dental without hesitation. I started using the team at Accent Dental when my business moved into the neighbourhood. Matt gave me clear advice, presented alternatives and then we agreed the price. He was thoroughly professional throughout and I loved the high tech set up in his surgery which made for much more pleasant dental treatments. I wanted my children to have more regular cleans than just the annual dental check up at school. Paris has been excellent in ensuring they have 6 monthly cleans - really important during the period of braces. My partner hates needles so he gets the soft treatment for sooks from Matt whenever he goes. Finally, my Mother fell last year in a hole on the Three Lamps footpath suffering a very nasty dental injury. Matt has guided her through the ACC claims process and the long process of coordinating with other providers to get a dental implant to replace the tooth that could not be saved. So you could say Accent Dental truly is our family's dental team. Cheers for that!

I found Accent Dentists through Google and should say their service is absolutely amazing. I have seen both Paris for a dental hygiene appointment and Dr Matt Sumner for porcelain veneers. They provide the best treatment (which is also painless) and show great understanding of a client's needs. Matt is very personable and highly professional. I suffered a crown root fracture - was in pain confused and uncertain of treatment options, after visiting an emergency after hours dentist. I sought a second opinion from Matt, who took the time to thoroughly examine and assess my tooth, understand the cause and mechanics of the injury, and explain what my options were, pros and cons of each, and recommended course of action. I have just signed up with Accent Dentist and my first impression has been amazing. I had a chipped tooth that needed repair, from when I arrived I was made to feel very welcome. Dr Matt looked at my chip and we discussed options before agreeing on the best treatment. I will definitely go back for all my future dental work.

Once again this Monday morning I called with a cracked molar. Had been in pain all weekend. I was able to see him a few hours after he opened and it was created and implanted on site. Fantastic service from Matt and his staff, had major cosmetic work done a few years ago and couldn't be happier about the excellent outcome. As a long time patient of Accent Dental I am a huge fan of Matt and his team. The balance between the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the surgery and the professional, efficient and high quality dental services is perfect. Matt is always clear and up front about what is needed in terms of both treatment and preventative care and plainly has the interest of his clients at heart. More recently I was saddened greatly by Marize choosing to move to Australia to further his career. However at my latest check and clean I was very pleasantly surprised to find the new hygienist, Paris, was a more than capable replacement; showing the same care and diligence aligned with an excellent chair-side manner. As with most people over a certain age I grew up with a fear and loathing of all things dentist, but Matt and the excellent people he has had at Accent over the years has turned that around. As a result I now have the healthiest teeth and gums since I was young enough to swap them out for new ones. I am happy to recommend Matt and Accent Dental to anybody looking for a quality and caring dentist.

Matt and his team have been absolutely fantastic. They are all so friendly, welcoming and instantly make you feel at ease. I called up in a lot of pain, having never even been there before and they told me to come straight down and saw me right away. Not only are they all lovely, Matt is very professional and makes you feel so relaxed, always explaining clearly what he is doing and why he is doing it. It is so comfortable I even drifted off to sleep while getting a root canal! He has done a fantastic job and I can't recommend them highly enough.

They accepted my emergency appointment at very short notice on Monday morning and went above and beyond to ensure I was cared for and pain free. Very professional, trusting, and friendly dentist. I definetly would recommended this dentist to anyone. I did experience a tooth issue while I was in New Zealand for an internship. Since I came from abroad and was unfamiliar with the the area, I did not know where to find a good dentist. Eventually my internship company recommended this place. The dentist and the assistants were very friendly. I was well informed and recommended by the dentist what would be best for me. This gained me trust in them. Which I believe is important when you are not familiar with an area because there are always people who try to scam outsiders. From my experience - For anyone who lives in NZ or is coming from abroad, this dentist will help you the best way they can without setting you up.

Doctor Matt updated my horrible experience with dentist . I'm willing to have my yearly tooth exam with him if it is regular requirement with dentist . I usually have body exam once a year but I don't know general requirement about tooth yet. Furthermore, the experience in Accent is superb.

They are all excellent at their respective roles, while the overall vibe is relaxed and friendly. The Team at Accent, Matt, together with Ella his assistant, we’re just fantastic . Matt put me at ease, explaining options for treatment, and helped me put together a plan for recovery of a number of issues. The treatment itself was painless and has improved my dental health immensely.

We then discussed pain management - am not big on needles. Booked to come in an hour before hand to prepare. The procedure itself was very relaxed. I had my head phones on and actually drifted off (I hope I didn't snore). Am very happy with the results.

I first went to Accent Dental 9 years ago with a broken front tooth. Matt did a fantastic job of rebuilding it and I still cant tell which one is the veneer and which isn't. I have been to two other dentists since then, but have gone back to Matt and the team because the standard of care is so much higher than any other I've experienced.

I've had what would normally have been quite traumatic experiences at Accent - old fillings out, new fillings in, teeth cleaned, teeth out (soon to have teeth in!) but every time Matt and his team have been professional, personal and very calming. I still wouldn't say I enjoy going to the dentist, but I am no longer afraid, and that's a big improvement with all the work I need to have done from avoiding the dentist for so many years.

Matt, Ella and the team were amazing. They did such a fantastic job of looking after me. Making me feel very comfortable and ensuring that I am aware of everything that is going on from start to finish. Matt takes very good care in explaining what is happening step by step which is very comforting for the likes of myself who may not feel comfortable in a dentist’s chair!

Matt and Team are consummate professionals and at the same time offer a personal touch which is unrivalled. Requiring quite a bit of dental work, I chose Accent Dental because of its convenience to home, now I wouldn't go anywhere else! Brilliant service and understanding of their customers.

Hands down, I love this dentist. Had a cleaning, as well as a composite and ceramic restoration done. The team is amazing and Matt and Paris performed an amzing job. Everyone is super friendly and the pre and post visit communication is great. I liked that at any time of the day you could book an appointment online with a specific person. Also, all information is communicated incredibly well and the prices for different options are clearly addressed. You really feel taken care of at Accent Dentists.

I’m not usually big on going to the dentist but this place has given me renewed enthusiasm! Lovely relaxed offices, super friendly staff and Matt has the most soothing and calm chair side manner. I went to see the team for the first time with what I thought might be a broken tooth, and certainly a missing chunk of filling from when I had my mercury amalgam replaced years ago. There's a crack in the tooth too and Matt went over what my options were without being pushy - just informative and knowledgeable. I had the work done yesterday and from beginning to end Matt and the team are highly professional, competent and personable. Today they even followed up with a call to make sure everything was just right (until the local anaesthetic wears off you're not quite sure yourself what it feels like inside your mouth so can't really tell them if it's feeling just right straight away). Today I wasn't even thinking about my tooth, it hasn't bothered me a bit - you'd never think I'd even been to the dentist yesterday. But it was very nice of them to call and just check anyway to make sure. If you want competent professionals who really know how to do their job, have a beautifully equipped clinic and know how to look after you as a person, I recommend you give this team a go. I'm very glad I did.

Before meeting Matt and his team at Accent I'd resigned myself to the fact that there was no such thing as a good experience at the dentist. I associated getting my teeth cleaned with leaving the chair covered in blood and feeling sore for days afterwards. You can imagine my surprise when Accent's dental hygienist was so effective and gentle I almost fell asleep during my session, and then received a follow up phone call on how I was feeling. Matt, Paris and Lucy are the best dentists/technicians/foh professionals i've ever been too. I've had extensive dentist work done over my life as have very challenging teeth. It was time to have veneers on 7 teeth and they look really amazing. The quality of product from Accent and the service is so superior that I can't recommend them enough.

As someone who has taken a casual attitude to my dental health for far too long, I feel lucky to have found Accent. There's a ton of work to be done in my mouth but Matt has totally made me feel at ease and took care of the immediate issue without strong-arming me into a huge program of work (previous experience-based assessment) which I appreciate and which, conversely, makes me feel committed to carry out the work anyway - if that makes sense. The quality of the work itself is absolutely top shelf, using the cutting edge (no pun etc) methods and I couldn't be happier.

I was nervous in the beginning that things might not turn out well. Then Doctor Matt welcomed me with a smile and the team as well so I felt at ease. Dr Matt started discussing the issue of my wisdoms with me. He was clear and understandable and always explained each step throughtout the extraction procedure of the wisdom tooth, which i personally found very very awesome. Not every dentist bothers to explain what they are doing, it makes you more comfortable when they actually explain what is happening. It only took about 2 minutes if not less. I was just happy that he made it so easy. He is an awesome dentist with a superb personality. His team are just as awesome as well. I recommend this place to anyone with any tooth issues. Especially when I know how hard it is to find a great dentist these days. You will never be disappointed. :)

I had a root canal treatment there. Dr. Matt was so patient and skilful. The staff were all nice and professional. As English is not my mother tongue and I used to ask questions, I was expecting additional difficulties in communication but it was not a problem at all. Dr. Matt used simple language to explain complicated terms and dental conditions to me. So I leave the dentist with well understanding about my dental conditions and a well repaired front tooth, which looks so natural. It has been nearly a month since my last visit, my dental condition is getting better and better, no re-attack, and I can tell the inside gum tissues are recovering day by day (serious conditions after a root canal treatment may last more than a year). Actually, I may not use the tooth normally as other teeth yet, but the sour and pain are gone, and I can eat and drink comfortably . I will certainly re-visit Accent Dentists for other dental services in the future.

My family dentist recently retired and when looking around for a new dentist, Dr Matt Sumner came highly recommended ...by an orthodontist friend! From my first visit I was immediately impressed by his professional approach, expertise and his warm, caring manner and I recommended him to the entire family - three generations of our family are currently patients! I have found the entire team to be so friendly. I feel very relaxed and reassured when I stretch out in the chair and have found both Matt and the hygienists to be so accurate and efficient - even on more sensitive areas of the gum. Whether it is a six-monthly routine exam or an emergency (shard of popcorn!) removal, the team will slot you in. My nine-year-old always looks forward to a trip to see Paris, the hygienist. My mother's teeth had always been looked after as well as possible for the era, but show the results of being born in Scotland during the 1940's with war-time nutritional shortages and general lack of preventative dental care. Having always had a fear of dentists, she now sings Matt's praises!

I know Matt on a personal level and so was always reluctant to use his services - sometimes tricky mixing business with friendship. More fool me. After becoming disillusioned with my previous dentist and then trying my wife's dentist and being recommended what amounted to thousands of dollars of work, I came to see Matt for a second opinion. He dismissed that idea, tidied up some previous work and has set me on what I thought no is a good path - and he is an enormously pleasant person to deal with. Highly recommended.

Visiting the dentist can be a daunting affair. When i first met Matt i had lost a bridge that replaced one of my front teeth. I was feeling very defensive and vulnerable. The clinic is easy to find and has a warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff that i met Emma and Lucy were both delightful and ready to make me feel at home, tough in a dentist, their professional attitude was very reassuring. Matt was very thorough checking out my teeth which i confess have been somewhat neglected of late. He checked out my missing bridge as well as providing me with the results of a comprehensive check up. in the end i was given a number of options for replacing the bridge plus a programme to deal with my other challenges. It was practical, reflecting both best practice and the elephant in the room of course the cost. i now have a new bridge on the way and a great plan that will see me putting my best smile forward over the next few months. After suffering what seemed like torture from early years, I had many teeth filled and treated by many people. One early dentist even told me I would lose my teeth before I was 16 years of age if I didn't look after them, which I did. Years later after marriage, I attended my husbands dentist to find the new dentist was kind, helpful and non threatening, but I still had fear whenever I made an appointment, because of early experiences. When this family dentist retired, as a family, we looked around and after a recommendation we arrived at the rooms of Matt Sumner who welcomed us all. One by one we all had treatment and I can only say he is the best dentist I have experience in my entire life and will continue there from now on. I have read the reviews and they are exactly in line with my own experiences at Accent Dental. This small team really does put you at ease from the get-go. Matt is laid back and keen to help you relax, but he also makes you feel you are in capable hands, as he is so obviously technically proficient. Mine is the typical Kiwi story of too many sweets and poor dental care , and I have always had woeful times at the dentist. Not any more! I have not had a moment of pain or discomfort in his care. And I do not feel judged either. I believe no mouth, no matter how dreadful, is unsalvageable in his eyes. Rather, it presents him with a new challenge. When I was 18, I fell asleep driving and knocked out 4 of my front teeth. Now, 38 years later, with a few hickups along the way with those implanted and bridged teeth, and a few root canals here and there, as well as many more difficult experiences with an uncomfortable side effect to the local anesthesia - I was quite fearful and in great need of help. And, my smile had changed to a grin. I met Matt through our business network and immediately I felt that he was a man I could trust. Last week I concluded my current treatment sessions with Dr Matt summer of Accent dental. Just had some MAJOR work done by Matt. I had been putting off going to a dentist for a while as I was, as most people are, nervous about the pain and possibility of judgement. Not so. I spent around 2 hours in the chair. Not only was it pain free, the time flashed by. this is the first review i've ever written and i'm doing it with a mouth full of gauze post a double tooth extraction. first of all i feel sore but very happy. i was living with pain and was very scared of any sort of interaction with dentists... not any more. i attribute the change to matt and his fantastic team at accent dental { especially emma! } matt was an absolute joy to deal with. he put me at ease straight away but also gave me plenty of options on how to proceed moving forward. the procedure itself was smooth and painless with the minimum of fuss but also with everything explained clearly. i'd recommend matt and his wonderful team to anybody looking to get work done particularly if it's been a while. they will definitely take good care of you. brett stewart

I went to see Matt for a filling i had been putting off for several months and absolutely dreading. Needles and i go way back and we are not friends. While that part of the process was not completely comfortable what i am impressed by is the way Matt took the time to explain every part of the process in his usual calming way. and the fact that by the time i got home, my mouth felt normal. i didn't feel like my face was 10 times bigger than usual and i was drooling everywhere (which was my last experience getting a filling elsewhere).
