A.Dr Philip Slack is the most amazing dentist I have ever met.
He litterally healed my wife by removing a toxic amalgam.
He is the only one I know in New Zealand who follow the IAOMT protocol recommendations for amalgam removal. He did a fantastic work.
My wife had such a great experience with him. He and his team were very involded and friendly.
All dentists should take him as an example.

P.I required a second opinion whilst visiting NZ after having emergency treatment in Australia, I was recommend Dr Slack by a friend and saw the raving reviews that were posted on Google, so after calling round all other dentists in the area to gauge a price, I plumped for Dr Slack.
I couldn't believe how absolutely lovely and knowledge Dr Slack was. He gave me an incredibly informative opinion on what I should do with my teeth (as I was in the middle of traveling so in a tricky situation) and provided me with a sensible plan of action as to how I could manage my dental care from here. I ended up being charged way less than I was quoted for on the phone and was super impressed with the absolute professionalism of the nurse, the receptionist and Dr Slack himself.
If I ever move back to NZ I'll definitely be heading to Lake Road Dental Centre so Dr Slack can be my dentist, without a doubt!
J.The care and treatment is excellent, I felt cared for and completely comfortable the entire time. All of the procedures were fully explained so I could make an informed decision removing my fear of the dentist.
Normally I would feel nervous when going to see the Hygienist, but Nova has been very pleasant and unlike some Hygienists she gave understandable advice with excellent follow-up care.
S.I have been going to Nova for about 5 years now for my hygiene appointments and would follow her to the end of the earth to get my teeth cleaned. She is the best with the very latest technology and knowledge in dental hygiene. She is also very caring and gentle when cleaning my teeth which is absolutely imperative to me as I have extremely sensitive teeth. She does a fabulous job of cleaning them too and my teeth always feel fabulous afterwards!
K.I am seeing Dr Slack. He was recommended to me by another patient for his gentleness. He is very gentle which makes a difference if you are a nervous patient. He takes a lot of care. I really recommend him if you are anxious about getting work done. On a practical note the local anesthetic he uses means that the lips don't feel thick and unpleasant for hours afterwards.
I wouldn't recommend the hygienist. With me she was brusque.
J.Dr Phil Slack is famously gentle on nervous patients such as myself and is exceedingly meticulous in his dentistry. I never miss my reminders for my check ups with Phil and Nova the Hygienist ....no pain = no fear. 😄

J.Nova Edgcombe is a brilliant hygienist. She has a lot of knowledge in dental hygiene and offers the latest treatment and technology available. I have been seeing her for approximately 5 years and can highly recommend her. A great service where you feel relaxed and you are treated with care.
