Highly recommended! I am so thankful to Dr Joann and her team and ofcourse to Peter. They have done a fantastic job and I really appreciate their kindness and how accommodating they are. I really felt that I was in good hands and have made the right decision of going to Pathway Dental for my teeth extraction and dentures. More power and thank you! :)

I had a broken tooth that had developed an abscess and the infection had caused my lymph glands to swell so I wasn't feeling too flash. No problem for the team at Pathway Dental! I was offered an appointment the same day or next morning so I grabbed the morning slot as I needed to psych myself up for this. I'm extremely nervous of dental work due to every procedure in the past causing me great pain and distress, so I was not looking forward to dealing with this. When I arrived, everyone was so nice and friendly so I began to relax in the calming reception area. Dr Soon Jee was excellent - I explained my past issues and nervousness and he gave me great explanations and managed my expectations. He was so gentle - I didn't feel a thing! For the first time in my life! They really have earned their reputation as the gentle dentists. The aftercare info was also excellent. I have signed up as a patient and will be back! Thanks Pathway team, I'm so grateful that you came to my rescue!

I had complex, full mouth crown work completed over several appointments by Nathan .He is easily the best dentist I have been to...friendly and knowledgeable. The results are amazing. Dr. Max Stephenson was great for a short notice root canal I needed at Pathway Dental. He was clear about the entire procedure and articulate about the process as we went along. This was a rare event in my experience of dentistry in its comfort and ease. I highly recommend the entire Pathway Dental team

I recently visited Pathway Dental for a broken front tooth. After examining the problem, Dr Soon Jee explained the process and cost before commencing the procedure. This consideration and concern was much appreciated. I would highly recommend the Pathway Team who are professional and friendly.

I saw Dentist Dr Soon Jee and Olga -Dental Assistant recently for a small issue that was best fixed sooner rather than later. They were All brilliant from the wonderful receptionist onwards and nothing was a bother. for any of the Team. They always go over and above the call of duty. As per my previous reviews, the Team at Pathway Dental have consistently provided Exceptional service and always with a smile. I definitely will be continuing to recommend their services to friends and whanau / family. Pathway Dental Team are Exceptional in my experience! From the warm, welcoming and efficient Reception Team : Kay and Tina to the very professional yet inclusive/ patient-centred and very gentle Dentist Nathan and Olga Dental Assistant as well as my observations of Practice Manager Joey ensuring that everything is running smoothly, I have total confidence in the Team. I have yet to meet the other Team Members, however all staff I have seen in the reception area had a smile, were warm, welcoming and very considerate with everyone. I was also pleasantly surprised at the treatment costs. The extended hours also suit me very well re: working around my own business. Thank you very much to the Pathway Dental Team! 😊 Having attended appointments at Pathway Dental over the past year, I remain really impressed by the exceptional service from the whole Team. Recently, I saw Soon Jee ( Dr Soon Jee Low) and his Dental Assistant Treesa as Nathan ( Dr Napat Sombunya) and Olga - Dental Assistant who I generally see were unavailable. As per all of my previous treatments, Soon Jee's treatment was exceptional and Treesa made sure I was totally comfortable. Nathan and Soon Jee consulted about the tooth issue prior to the appointment I was attending for and had a fully collaborative team approach. I have also had a bit of a dental mishap and have required the services of Peter Ritchie for a partial dental device. He came fully recommended and has been absolutely amazing in his skill, expertise and experience. A master of the science and the art of his workmanship .I too fully recommend him. The quality of all of the dental care has remained very high quality and nothing is a bother for the wonderfully efficient receptionists Kay and Tina the incredibly efficient front entry team for the practice, in doing their very best to find an appointment space to suit within the busy work and family/ whanau lives we all lead. Joey the practice manager quietly keeps an eye on the running of the practice so all runs smoothly for the patients/ consumers. Thank you very much again to the Great Team @ Pathway Dental. 5 stars and I fully recommend Pathway Dental Team .

This was by far the best dental experience I have had in more than 30 years. Everyone from the moment you walk in till you leave is kind and patient. Nathan took his time and did a thorough job checking, cleaning my teeth and explaining things clearly to me. Easiest 5 stars I've been able to give. Keep it up, guys!

Very friendly and professional team. I had a hygienist appointment. She was enthusiastic and informative. She not only did a great job in cleaning my teeth, but also provided great advice and suggestions about how to keep them clean and healthy.

Most people, like myself stall visiting the dentist until it is absolutely unavoidable! I have to say my visit to Pathway Dental was an absolute breeze. From the ouset I found the office lady pleasant and friendly. I was greeted with a smile and found the waiting room very clean and tidy. Madi was my dentist and I have to say I found her absolutely 1st class. She is very professional, gentle and explained procedures and recommendations fully. I have no hesitation in recommending Madi and Pathway Dental.I will be returning for all my future dental requirements without hesitation.

The staff are as kind as they are professional; so lovely to talk to, very patient and informative. They’re good at what they do! Reasonable pricing as well, and a very well kept office. They’ll be my regular dentists from now on :)

As someone who usually dreads going to the dentist, the experience I had at Pathway Dental was extremely pleasant. The team at Pathway are all very professional and friendly and make you feel welcome and comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. Personally, I had multiple fillings done by Tu in which he was very thorough in explaining everything he was doing. I was always comfortable throughout the appointments and he made sure to check I was okay regularly. The worksmanship was perfect and the finish/quality was noticeably better then other fillings I have received. I would highly recommend Pathway Dental to anyone and look forward to my next check up. My fear of the dentist is now completely gone!

My experience with Dr.Nathan at Pathway Dental was excellent, he was extremely professional and patient with me during all my visits. The reception staff and dental assistants are always helpful and caring. As for Dr. Nathan, he is caring and always makes sure I am comfortable and informed during my dental appointment. The clinic is modern with state of the art equipments and very affordable. I would highly recommend Pathway Dental for any dental work.

My experience with Pathway Dental (Soon Ji) was amazing. They were extremely professional and explained the work they were going to do on my teeth in detail at the start of the appointment and also throughout the appointment as he was completing the work. Soon ji made me feel very comfortable and the whole experience was easy and relatively pain less. I had to get quite a few fillings as well as my teeth cleaned and he did a truly amazing job. The staff at Pathway Dental were very friendly and accomodating. The price was really great and i certainly got great value for my money. I would highly recommend Pathway Dental for anyone looking for a great dentist in Christchurch!

I have no hesitation in recommending Pathway Dental. They are indeed gentle, friendly and very professional at every dental visits. The premise is modern, clean and their equipments are very high tech.

My daughter has bad anxiety when it comes to the the dentist due to past experiences. Today she was super brave with the help of the team at Pathway dental, they talked her through the process from start to finish they even let her choose what to watch on Netflix while they worked on her tooth. Such a friendly team very professional but most importantly amazing with children. We will definitely be back to see the team at Pathway dental and I highly recommend especially if your child isn't the biggest fan of the dentist.

Dr Soon Jee is an amazing passionate dentist who is always super clear with his recommendations and always makes sure you're super comfortable. Very kind and pleasant to talk to. Treatment is stellar, had 5 fillings done without a hitch including one deep enough that it almost warranted having the tooth removed. Never had a dentist before who will explain in depth to my curious self about teeth care and treatment either! The receptionist Tina is also really nice and cheerful, always has a smile on her face, and is very professional & efficient. Highly recommend.

I had Tu as my dentist at Pathway Dental and their service was absolutely amazing. I was very comfortable while he guides me through and tells me what he is doing throughout the process. Which was very helpful as he gives you the sense that you are in good hands since you have an idea with what is happening with your teeth. I 100% recommend pathway dental with the accommodating experience from receptionist to their fine dentists that will leave you satisfied with their work. I can't say thank you enough to my dentist Tu.

Fantastic service, both at reception and during consult followed by my tooth extraction. Not my usual dentist as it was a weekend emergency, but if I was living in the area they would be my go-to! Can't recommend them highly enough. Reasonably priced too. Thanks so much team :)

What an amazing team. Their kindness and compassion started on my phone call to them. They were able to fit my 4yr old daughter in for an emergency extraction. From the moment you enter the door they show professionalism and sincerity. The dentist was great with kids as was his assistant (my daughter didn't even flinch!) Certainly recommending them to family and friends.

Pathway Dental is an exemplary dentist practice. Our five year old child was seen by Dr Soon and by Leeanne yesterday. Dr Soon was very patient, friendly and supportive and so was Leeanne. He explained the procedures to us and the child thoroughly, provided the options for the treatment and hygiene procedures to do in future. His calm, friendly manner helped to put our child at ease. The treatment itself was efficient and resulted in an immediate relief for the child. Overall, it was probably the best dental service I have ever seen in my life. The clinic is also brand new, sparkling clean and the equipment is new. Mrs McPhail at reception explained the booking procedures and made us feel very welcome and looked after.

Highly recommend Tu and Nathan at Pathway as very professional and explain in detail procedures, Tu was fantastic with my 10 year old daughter noticed she was nervous and reassured her and explained what would need to be done and why. Nathan is my dentist and he is fantastic very gentle too. Kay is always so helpful and such a lovely lady .

I just finished my 3rd and final appointment at pathway dental and I can’t say enough good things about this place. The reception lady is so lovely and welcoming, the dental surgeon is very gentle, explained everything very well to me and is a true professional. He really does seem to care about his patients and about providing the best up to date dental treatment at a fair and reasonable price. Hands down the best dentist I have ever been too. Last but not least, his assistant was just amazing! Ask her about organic eating and you’ll make a new friend lol. Thanks again guys, look forward to my next check up in December :)

Best dental surgery I have ever been to All of the staff are so kind and caring and very affordable (they even have Genopay so you can pay off over 10 weeks!). Easy parking nearby and they have TVs on the ceiling so you are distracted from the noises in the surgery. I had two wisdom teeth out (very straight forward) and had two follow up phone calls checking in to see how I was doing over the next two days. Incredible service :) Wouldnt ever hesitate in recommending Pathway Dental as the BEST dentist in Christchurch.

I would like to commend Dr Tu, Dr Nathan and Pathway team for the responsive and excellent service when I had to arrange dental check. I actually had so many dental problems as I need to do teeth removal, cleaning, filling and dental bridges. I was so worry as it was my first dental visit. Took our 5yo child there yesterday, with on the day appointment. Very pleased with the services, and doctor's empathy. Options were explained to us, but glad that the treatment proceeded and saved us heaps of time by not going to specialist/hospital surgery anymore. I got the Hygienist, Genevieve Coveney, to give my teeth a clean and she was excellent. Very thorough and gave me some tips on how to easily fix some issues I was facing. She was also very competitively priced which was great as dental care is not cheap. Would go again.

I am very thankful to Dr. Soon Jee for being kind and helpful. A year ago, I had my dental check up and I’ve met Tina. A very friendly receptionist. My front tooth was already infected cause it’s an artificial. Dr. Soon Jee told me that it needs to remove as soon as possible cause it might be risky. Then I wasn’t able to come back for couple of months. I’m busy working, till my upper lip and nose was swollen. I’ve suffered headache too. Then I rung Pathway Dental and I’ve talked with Kaye about what happened to me. She helped me to talked to Dr Soon Jee if He can give me a chance that day to see me cause it’s fully booked that day. But still Kaye told me to come and wait. I’m so thankful that day, though I don’t have appointment but still they helped me. Dr Soon Jee told me, my tooth was infected and need to remove as soon as possible. I was thinking about how can I smile again and talk without my tooth. I felt sad, cause I didn’t listened to his advice cause I was thinking about the expenses. But He explained very clearly the risk of not removing my tooth. After he checked my tooth, I was convinced and He gave me prescriptions and came back the following day. I’m scared that day cause it’s been a while since I’ve visited a dentist. I prayed that night night that everything will be ok. I am thankful and blessed that God bless the hands of Dr. Soon Jee and it was successful. He told me what to do after and if anything happened I can call him. Yes I lost tooth but the most important is my health. Then we started to have my tooth plan. He is very helpful. I have my dentures. I can smile again and have my self confidence back. After a year it’s already done as well as all my tooth to be restored and cleaned. God is provided everything. I managed to pay everything with the help of Geneopay and Zip payments as well. My experienced with Dr. Soon Jee, Tina and Kaye are awesome. They are professional yet so friendly and treated me as their family. I recommend them to all my friends and shared my experienced. God will bless you all and your family.

I went to Pathway Dental with wisdom teeth issues for a consultation. Very impressed with the high tech equipment. I booked a 2nd appointment to have 2 wisdom teeth extracted. I had an exam/teeth cleaning with Soon Jee Low and he was amazing! He really took the time to explain everything to me and gave me incredible results. The whole team from receptionist to hygienist to dentist were all so friendly and caring. Very happy with my whole experience!

Napat helped me to remove 2 of my wisdom teeth. Throughout the whole process Napat was amazing and he advised me of everything he was doing and kept me informed. There was no pain during the extraction and I felt very comfortable. Napat was very careful with his instructions of the aftercare procedure. The staff and service was excellent, they have new state of the art equipment along with very reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend Pathway Dental to all my friends and family.

Came down from Auckland to Christchuch for a weekend to visit friends but had a broken tooth. Called up Pathway dental and they could see me on the spot. Thanks to them I could enjoy my holiday pain free. Very professional and great service. Transparent price so you know what you are paying for.

Pathway Dental's Soon Jee Low is literally the best dentist I've ever had in my whole life. I've had more than 20+ different dentists over the past 16 years. None can even compare to the level of professionalism and knowledge he has about teeth and what procedures are best for you. He's super pedantic about catching everything, it's all in the little details that other dentists usually overlook, and he notices. He went above and beyond during my orthodontic extraction of a front tooth which needed removing so I can have braces (invisilign) by calling the orthodontist to reconfirm the right tooth was being extracted (as I was paranoid the letter might have an error), triple checked everything for the procedure was really reassuring since it was a front tooth. It was the least painful extraction I've ever had and I've had a couple extractions at other practices which where simply awful and unprofessional. But Soon Jee, was the BEST! Don't even go to a different dental practice. If you want a thorough dentist, see this guy. P.s the receptionist is also the friendliest, most helpful receptionist at a dental practice I've ever seen. Great updates/calls and always smiling. Customer for life.

What an amazing team- they fit us in at very short notice on a holiday weekend because my child had nasty toothache and were so kind and reassuring to her as they extracted a impacted tooth with ease. I would absolutely recommend the team at pathway - thank you all very much.

I have recently undergone extensive oral surgery and follow up at Pathway Dental.As a first time user of their services I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful team at this practice.From Tina at the front desk reception onward there is a friendly welcoming attitude by all.Following initial examination I was given a detailed recommended plan by dentist Soon Je including step by step cost estimate for each visit.Soon Je is an excellent communicator ensuring you know exactly what procedure(s) he will perform during that visit or at the next. Having used many dentists throughout my lifetime I avidly recommend Pathway Dental for anyone needing dental care. They operate in a modern environment with 2 hour parking adjacent and also are open during weekends. Milt.

I had this team make me my mouthguard for my Brazilian jiujitsu training. I have an unusually large widening towards the molar but they customized it for my comfort fitting no problem. I now use that for my training as well as my competitions. The fitting was very slightly loose in comparison to my previously dentist made guards but that also made it 10 times more comfortable to put on and off. It has never accidentally slipped off, and gave me excellent protection for all my needs. Lastly, I did not pick my colour as I didn't care for it but the one they got me was a nice blue and yellow combo which got plenty of my peers commenting on the nice appearance :) A happy customer and still rocking the mouthguard

*LONG REVIEW* DR. SOON JEE LOW IS THE BEST DENTIST EVER! PATHWAY DENTAL, THANK YOU! I had gone to a dentist local to where I live. Following continued pain (this was my fault for not acting sooner), I decided to research other dentists--those in the city. In all the Google reviews, 2 stood out to me: Pathway Dental and another dental practice; both had ALL 5-STAR reviews. Too good to be true? NOT in the case of Pathway Dental. The dentist that I have been seeing is Dr. Soon Jee Low. He is the BEST dentist that I have EVER had (I've seen 2 other dentists here in NZ and I've also seen dentists back home). I repeat, Dr. Soon Jee Low is the BEST dentist I have ever had! Dr. Soon Jee Low is PATIENT. Did I say PATIENT? He is PATIENT. I had many, many questions--both from my own curiosity and concern, and also questions arising from research that I conducted. He EXPLAINED things to me; showed me my teeth on the x-ray; and there was even a time when he used A PIECE OF PAPER AND A PENCIL to illustrate something to me so that I would have a clear understanding. He is THOROUGH. He is METICULOUS. I don't feel rushed. I feel CONFIDENT that he TAKES HIS TIME with my procedures and with answering my questions. He is PLEASANT. He is EMPATHETIC. EXTRACTIONS? I did not even KNOW that he had extracted the teeth! Honestly. I didn't feel that 'okay, yep, my tooth is coming out'. Nope, none of that. As for injections? I am still not a fan of injections but compared to other experiences I've had, the way he injected me was not as painful as other injections I've had from other dentists. That said, as he rightly pointed out, several factors (for eg. location of the tooth etc.) can influence how painful the injection feels to the patient. See? He is TRANSPARENT and HONEST. Yes, he was happy to hear that my experience with him giving me the injection wasn't as painful as my other experiences, but he also informed me that several factors could influence this. Now, given my diagnosis, several treatments were planned. Of course, no one wants to have to deal with dental issues and at times I felt overwhelmed. As the EMPATHETIC dentist he is, he reassured me. But in his reassurance, he was always HONEST. He did not try to sell me a pipe-dream. He was upfront and BALANCED about, for eg., what to expect with X treatment, possible downsides (however small) of the treatment etc. There was an occasion where I was seeking a referral for a specialist procedure and he looked through his cabinet to call up a specialist, and explained my request. He did NOT have to do that; he could have simply given me a number to call on my own but HE made the call whilst I was at his appointment. Again, HELPFUL, PLEASANT, EMPATHETIC. At the end of my first visit, I received an email from admin with a PDF document CLEARLY stating the treatment expected, the cost, and the corresponding tooth numbers for each treatment. Nothing was HIDDEN from me. (Some practices withhold this information, for eg. the tooth numbers AND the corresponding treatment, out of "fear" that the patient will get the treatment done elsewhere). In terms of his OFFICE SET UP, I'm provided with glasses to help with the bright lights that are found in a dentist's office. There is also a TV above playing serene/calming music and videos and this helps with distracting you from the procedure. The admin/reception staff is also pleasant. Likewise, the dental assistants were pleasant and helped to make my experience with Dr. Soon Jee Low EXCEPTIONAL. To anyone who has a fear of dentists, who has had bad experiences at a dentist, who is very anxious, or who simply wants to have a PROFESSIONAL, PLEASANT and HIGH QUALITY dental experience, I ENCOURAGE YOU TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR.
