I recently moved to Christchurch and was due for my dental procedures. As I had limited knowledge of good dentists around the town, a friend of my husband suggested Smile concepts to us. I had my first dental examination with Natalie and there are no words to describe how Wonderful my experience was. The staff greeted me with respect, dignity and a deep desire to provide the best possible care. I’ve already visited SC a couple of times and I’m glad I chose SC. My gratitude for Dr. Natalie and her staff goes beyond the stars!

The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team is incredible. Natalie made us feel like a part of the family and carried out complicated dental procedures with ease. Every visit is like visiting friends. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend Smile concepts for their excellent dental service.

Excellent experience with Natalie and the team at Smile Concepts. I had a couple of tricky teeth needing some attention and have sensitive teeth. I was extremely happy with the care and professionalism and attention to detail. Highly recommended!

Going to the dentist tends to be a really stressful experience for me. At Smile Concepts they went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable. Alicia is a wonderful dentist and has a great sense of humour which definitely put me more at ease. Such a strong team!

5 stars isnt even enough.! What natalie has done for me is amazing. I was born with hypoplasia of the enamel and after many years gave up on the dental industry. With a mouth filled with abscesses i decided to search for a dentist and i came across smile concepts. Natalie calmed me in the dental chair from a terrified fearful mess to someone who now walks in with no worries and hops in the chair. Words will never be enough to thank smile concepts for everything they have done for my oral hygenine as well as all the effort put in by the whole team in preparing my teeth and gums to head to melbourne for a smile make over. I couldn't recommend smile concepts enough.!! Not only are they my dental team they are truly my friends and family.

I have waited 35 years to have my front tooth repaired after a handstand accident, that chipped half my front tooth, and over time turned black, decaded and unsightly. As someone who gets extremely anxious about going to the dentist! Alicia & her team are amazing, she has such a lovely gentle calm presence, which really helped with my extreme nervousness, she sings along to the radio & tells you everything that she is doing, as she goes along. I had a lot of work done, fillings, big & small, four veneers & a dental emergency & these guys were pros handled everything with such ease. I feel so empowered & uplifted having my smile restored, a smile I have not seen for 16 years, I no longer feel afraid or nervous about going to the dentist.

I really hate going to the dentist but Natalie made the experience as pleasant as it could be. She is kind, gentle, caring and can explain things in a way that's easy to understand. It's been awhile since I last visited but I don't feel nearly as worried as I normally do when the time comes for my next check up/procedure. Thanks Smile Concepts, your whole team is amazing.

From a grown woman with a major dentist-phobia ...... (I cried at the check up, which was painless !!!) ..... this is an honest review, for all my like-hearted peeps. I can honestly say, Natalie, Alicia and their team have eased me back into tooth care, with humour, gentleness and great compassion. Anaesthetic gel is your best friend, then after a quick, but minor discomfort from the real thing, every procedure was painless ..... and believe me I've tried them all! After years of putting it off, I finally put my big girl pants on and went for it ..... you really can do the same ... they are amazing and understanding. Highly recommended (as dentist visits go 😆). I'll even turn up for my check up next year ! Honest ! 🤗

I love Smile Concepts! Whilst going to the dentist's never a ball, I know Smile Concepts professionalism and great service with a smile will ensure a comfortable experience. I've lived with slightly crooked front teeth all my adult life and was recently thinking about having them straightened - quite an expensive and time consuming prospect. No need! Through Smile Concepts cosmetic expertise, my teeth now look so much straighter - at considerably less cost and in only 1.5 hrs. I'm now happy with my toothy grin! Thanks SC!

Alicia is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. I am a very nervous patient who hates going to the dentist. Alicia was incredibly understanding and made my dental treatment trouble and pain free! I highly highly recommend.

Right from entering the building we were meet with kindness and enthusiasm. Our 8year old son was put to ease immediately by all of the staff and his treatment was exceptional! He was informed and included in his plan of care the entire way through his assessment and treatment! I can not recommend this dental surgery high enough.

Dr. Alicia Wade and Natalie was amazing. The lovely reception is also amazing. They made sure that I am comfortable and nothing to be embarassed about. Dr. Wade laid out a dental plan to improve my overall dental condition and explained it thoroughly. I think I already found my permanent dental care provider.

WOW! I really owe the greatest thank you to Natalie and her team. I feared the dentist before my experience here. I must admit...it had been a long time since I had been to a dentist. Mainly out of fear! (needles specifically!) But right from the get go Natalie was so calming and confident that I felt so much better about everything. I didn't feel the needles at all! and no pain for the actual work being done as well. If you fear needles or dentists in general, I encourage you to go to Smile Concepts. During procedures, Natalie also constantly makes sure you are comfortable and pain free. I am so relieved I found Smile Concepts

Fantastic experience with the lovely Natalie at Smile Concepts. Very happy with the great cosmetic result for what was a lengthy process (internal tooth bleaching and then veneer). Natalie and the team kept me informed throughout the process, and let me know my options and what would work best for me. I was particularly impressed with the fantastic attention to detail, flexibility and empathy shown by Natalie and her team (fitting me in short notice for my wedding).

Smaller friendly team with a homely feel. I visit Natalie and I always leave feeling satisfied and happy with my service. They have a less is more, preventative focus which I like as it will always save the customer in the long run! I feel as far as dentists go, they are quite affordable

I have been to a lot of dental clinics over the years and I have to say the service I have received from Natalie and her team at Smile Concepts is absolutely outstanding, I have finally found my dentist for life! I first found Smile Concepts as I had to have some fairly tricky cosmetic treatment done (internal bleaching of a front tooth) I was very nervous and self conscious about this when I first arrived as I thought I would need to get the tooth crowned as it was very dark compared to the other teeth. However Natalie and the team put me at ease and guided me with professional advice through every step and I honestly couldn't be happier with the result achieved as the tooth looks completely natural and the colour is fantastic! On top of providing the very best level of dentistry the team at Smile Concepts gives a wonderful welcoming atmosphere along with a lot of laughs (which is rare when you visit the dentist) and great music too. I cannot recommend this dental clinic highly enough, I look forward to my next visit.

I Can't rate this fabulous dental team highly enough. Our first experience was a few months ago (after a terrible experience at a community dental clinic when my 12yr old daughter unfortunately needed a filling, we of course followed the referral instructions & booked the treatment of the filling with the closest community clinic, but we ended up having a dreadful experience as they didn't wait long enough for the pain blocker to take full effect & then wouldn't stop the treatment even though she was in tears!! To make matters worse the filling then fell out 8 days later). As you can imagine I now had a petrified child who was refusing to see anyone about her tooth that now had a big hole in it!! My work colleague then suggested I try Natalie @ smile concepts as all her children had been to her & she highly recommend her for her gentle treatment especially with children. From the moment I made the call to book an appointment I knew this was the right place for us the empathy from the receptionist after I explained the disastrous previous treatment & how afraid my daughter now was was extremely reassuring. This reassurance continued when we were greeted warmly on our arrival to our appointment & continued Upon meeting & listening to Natalie talk to my daughter (like she would an adult) about what she needed to do & how she was going to do it. Natalie was essentially giving my daughter the opportunity to trust her as a dentist & that she would listen to her. So after chatting together for a few minutes about the treatment options one was suggested to try & have the filling replaced without the need for an injection (as not a lot of drilling would be involved) my daughter Amazingly chose to trust Natalie & the filling was successfully redone without any pain relief at all. What a fabulous outcome I now have a daughter who would happily visit Natalie and her team @ smile concepts :) My husband has now also taken our 10yr old daughter yesterday to have some baby teeth removed due to over crowding. (We were of course referred to community dental clinic but no way I was taking the chance of having another disaster). So off to Natalie they went & again what amazing service, Natalie spoke directly to my daughter explaining what was going to be done & exactly how the teeth would be removed. My daughter was so surprised to discover that she never felt a thing due to the use of numbing cream prior to the pain blocking injection & then the removal method of somehow massaging the teeth out which has of course ended in another extremely happy child who will look forward to revisiting :) Thanks again Charlotte

Let's start by saying I am terrified of Dentists, this had led me down the path of neglecting my teeth to the point where I was in need of a quite major re-construction on pretty much all my teeth. For fear of getting old and having no teeth, sucking soup through a straw I reluctantly visited Natalie to see what could be done. It's taken 2 months of visits, some of them up to 3hours at a time. Keeping in mind I was not obliged to write this review I have to say that Natalie, Natasha [assistant extraordinaire] & Magda made the ordeal manageable for me. Today was meant to be Natalie's day off, however she fitted me in so I could get a temporary crown, now I can actually smile and hold conversations with confidence over the xmas break. Natalie...Natasha...Magda..I cant thank you enough, you have honestly changed my life. PS. I am no longer scared of dentists. Craig

Smile Concepts is really a great Dental Clinic. Everything is very clean and hygienic sterile environment. Dr Natalie discussed with me my Oral health plan and provided quality service in a very friendly environment. She is very calming, clearly passionate and professional. I will certainly recommending this surgery to friends & family.

Was well looked after by Alicia and the team. Despite getting a molar extracted which isn't something anyone looks forward to, Alicia made sure I was comfortable, pain-free, and informed on what was happening every step of the way.

Natalie is amazing. Both my husband and I have been going to Smile Concepts for over two years now and will never go anywhere else. Natalie is so lovely and is gentle. I used to hate the dentist but she puts me at ease every time. I even had to take my 3 year old there once under ACC and Natalie was amazing with him. Smile Concepts make going to the dentist easy and a lot less stressful. I had an bite problem that I wasn't sure could be fixed. Dr. Alicia Wade came up with a solution and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Recently i had two porcelain veneers put in at Smile Concepts and I have to say it was just fantastic. The ladies are lovely there, and Natalie went above and beyond. I felt very sure that she provided me with all of the information and never tried to sway my opinion in any way. Natalie provided me balanced advice on both cheaper and more expensive options and made sure that i would know the outcome of both. The process required a lot of her time, and she never charged me any additional to the quoted price which was beyond the call of duty. I LOVE my teeth - they're absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend this practice enough! 5 stars

I have been to dentists in several countries around the world but I have never received better dental care than here. Staff are welcoming and helpful and Natalie is pleasant, professional and from my experience, a perfectionist, when it comes to providing the best treatment options for her patients. No one loves going to the dentist, but from Natalie you will get reassurance, serious expertise and a great music playlist to distract you during your treatment in the dentist chair!

Another visit to see Natalie who is an amazing dentist. She instantly makes me feel at ease and I love the way she sings or hums to the music playing as this helps me to relax. Thanks for the ongoing great experience.

I have been using smile Concepts as my preferred dentist since arriving back in NZ . I have always found them to be very understanding of any issues in which you are having with your teeth, and able to talk you though the process they will take to resolve these. The Dentist is always ensuring you are comfortable while any dental work is being carried out, and insuring you are not experiencing any pain throughout the procedure. Totally recommend to visit Smile Concepts for dental check up and hygiene service. Very friendly reception staff, relaxing environment, and the best hygiene service I've ever received from the dentist Natalie. At affordable price and convenient location, it becomes my first choice when I need a dentist.

Natalie and her team are awesome. They totally put me at ease and even had me laughing in the chair (a rare occurrence for me in a Dentist chair!) My treatment was totally painless and Natalie explained everything as she went along. Thank you Smile Concepts!

I went there as I had toothache, it had been 10 years since I had seen a dentist. Natalie was kind about the obvious neglect I had shown my teeth. We opted to try a filling, I was informed there was a good chance this won't work. The filling didn't work, and they had me in the next day as early as possible to remove the tooth. The tooth removal wasn't completely painless, however much Natalie tried, but the pain was low enough I didn't mind. I highly recommend this dental clinic.

The whole experience started off at reception and that person is Joy... Very helpful and happy lady followed by my dental technician who made sure I knew what procedure was happening and that it was to my liking.. Highly recommend these people... In fact, I am going back next month.

I’m usually a real sissy with dental appointments, and sometimes end up feeling very sick and nervous. Johanna quickly put me at ease, and was extremely professional in her manner. She was also quite informative about the process that was being carried out, so that I knew what to expect. By the time I arrived home an hour later, the numbing had all but gone and there was absolutely no discomfort, despite the fact that I had spent an hour in the chair. The tooth looks as good as new, and very natural. The price was also better than I expected! I will certainly come to you in future for dental work, and will see you anyway on the 10th of May for my appointment with the hygienist.

Nathalie is amazing! She did a perfect job to repair my damaged filling! . She's full of humour too. I was so relaxed and almost fell asleep.

I have to say to anyone needing a dentist this is the one for me. I am NOT a fan of dentists and recently had to visit one for a bad tooth ache. I went on line and checked to see who had good reviews. Smile concepts had great reviews and now, having been to see them, I can understand why. The service was great right from reception and the consultation was terrific, all my fears were put to rest and even the tooth extraction was a simple, painless process. I will definitely be returning for further visits to protect the teeth I have left and would highly recommend smile concepts to any other scaredy cats out there.

The staff were thorough with their service. During Covid19 level 2 I visited my dentist & was asked to remain in my car to fill in contact details which also included a health questionnaire background information, prior to coming in & starting my appointment with the dentist. The dentist was thorough in her pre vetting technique when asking where I work & have I had a Covid19 test, how recent was the test, dates & various places I have worked since the beginning of the lockdown. Asked if I have any current symptoms & I verified that I have remained in self isolation at home. Dentist & assistant then both put on their full hazmat suits & face shields. Thorough service & dentist highly recommended which items for me to purchase, that specifically suit my dental needs.

Who would have thought that going to the dentist could be such a positive experience! Who would have thought that you would find yourself singing along during treatment! (Not singing very well with a mouth full of interference but you get the point.) Dental surgeon Dr Natalie Majgaonkar and her team at Smile Concepts on Colombo St in Christchurch have completely transformed how I feel about ‘going to the dentist’. I had a crown replaced and the result is amazing. Natalie’s skill and Hiro’s artistry have created such a natural result. Natalie and the team have been looking after myself and my family for a number of years. We keep going back to Natalie because she is a true professional. Recently, I delayed initiating root canal work because I was busy and perhaps to a lesser extent, also because I am a bit of a sook when it comes to going to the dentist! The tooth in question, which has a crown, is fragile and became loose. Eventually it had to be re-cemented and eventually even fell out once. Of course, Natalie had already warned me and kept me reminding me at every opportunity. It is important to me that I can rely on the advice and workmanship of my professional support team and I am pleased that Natalie is on that team, looking after me and my family. Smile concepts was recommended to me by a close friend who had an excellent experience and exceptional work done, i have been the type of person who only gets something done when it is absolutely necessary (not good I know), I was really anxious about going because I knew it was going to be a big job, and expensive, and in the past work done at other establishments has been bang in bang out, rush rush just another $, no real care or investment in the work and for the money I was parting with I wanted the best possible result. Right from the first time I walked in the staff were really nice and understanding because it was quite embarrassing for me, I was very self concious. They made me very comfortable, however were very direct with the condition I was in, and the extensive work I needed without making me feel ashamed. The work itself was over a few weeks of hour plus sessions which were arranged at my convenience, the work was incredible so much more than I could have hoped for but what I really was impressed with and made me feel that I was important and personalized is that Natalie (she rocks btw) put in so much work tweaking and altering the cosmetic stages after the health of the problems had been fixed, she went over and above to bring my confidence back to my smile, she said as she was putting the finishing touches to my teeth she says to me "you owe me" I was like huh what do I owe u lol, Natalie replys "a smile" diffentley had one a ear to ear. Honestly changed my confidence so much, all the staff so professional, very friendly, very comfortable environment, I would highly recommend smile concepts!!! A+++

I hadn’t been to a dentist in around 10 years, mainly due to fear 😂 but after my first appointment I would recommend them to anyone, I’ve experienced no pain, during or post work and the detailing on finished fillings gives such a natural feel when chewing 👌🏾
