The team at access dental are absolutely brilliant. I cannot recommend them highly enough. My family and I have had various dental issues and we have been treated with compassion and professionalism. There caring attitude and ability to handle all of our dental needs makes them my first choice.

Such a lovely place, with friendly, non judgemental staff. Always happy to offer advice. Am 39 years old and had never had an oral health check prior to visiting this practice. Was a great service they do to check for oral cancers etc. They are all very good at what they do. Hygienist Paula, such a beautiful kindhearted person. Amazing with my 6 year old daughter also. I’ve only had good experiences at this dentists office. Great hygienist experience and my appointments with Dr Lindsay, (who is very kind and easy to talk to) she helped to resolve an ongoing issue caused by another dentist, which was a huge relief. Would highly recommend!

I haven't been to the dentist in over 20 years due to my big fear of them! Lyndsey and her assistant Victoria were absolutely wonderful, kind and caring. Music playing in the background, checking in with me how I was feeling and did I feel pain.Which I didn't.☺️. We even managed to have a good laugh. I could praise these ladies all day long. Decision on the spot to have a tooth removal. For some one that has a huge phobia of dentists, Richard Allwright was fantastic. Even though it was a tough job … apparently. .. it took 3.5 hrs, I could not fault the care and attention to my well-being as well as the actual procedure. I live 3 hours away and Richard even squeezed me in to check up on it 3 days later before I went home. Highly recommend Access Dental.

I can't speak highly enough of Annemieke's skills as a dentist, in both her gentle supportive manner and her gentle practical dentistry expertise. I have to say, this is my 3rd great dental experience with Access Dental and I am still impressed. Nobody wants an extraction, but this is definitely the place to go. Lindsay was (as usual) informative and competent and was focused on ensuring my comfort. Good after care info and still well worth 5 stars 😀

I am happy with my visit to Access Dental. I went to them to get a specific troublesome tooth fixed and I requested they fix it without having to do a full checkout and searching for unknown issues at that time, they were happy to comply with my request and didn't pressure me to get more work done. The tooth repair went well, it was painless and seems to have resolved the issue. The staff were friendly. I didn't shop around for price but the price seemed fair and I'm guessing is a mid-range price. I will definitely go there again for regular or acute dental work 🙂

Access Dental are set around their patients needs from a dental service. This makes them warm and welcoming from the moment you step through their door. The atmosphere is very soothing and relaxed. Everywhere is clean and tidy and everyone from their receptionist right through their team are cheerful, helpful and kind. The entire team are very competent, warm and friendly. With the above and their loyalty scheme they make going to the dentist a whole lot easier. They're an asset to the Nelson community!

I do wish they'd let me know at the time of my first appointment for getting a root canal that it wasn't all covered by ACC, I got an unexpected bill on my last appointment and it did set me back. I will remember to ask next time.

2022 Update: Ive been seeing access dental for years now. Every time i need something looked at, they make the process easy from quotes to booking and your income doesnt determine the quality of care you recieve. But most importantly the main reason i keep coming back is the staff. It's hard to explain just how cool they are unless you see them for yourself. :)

I have always had a fear of having dental work completed due to a previous bad experience and a sensitive mouth but Access Dental have taken that fear away. My last visit with Paula and Lyndsay was awesome. They really understand me. Consultative, professional, caring and incredibly good at what they do. I highly reccomend and they also offer payment options and a loyalty club to make that part easier too.

The lovely Paula has been my hygienist for years and I wouldn’t consider changing to anyone else. However, I’ve recently changed my dentist after having questions about the integrity of my last dentist and joined Access Dental for all my dental work and II could not be more impressed. Lyndsay is the most gentle dentist I’ve been to, really thorough, gave great advise and has done the best job of providing me with a new smile by way of veneers on my front teeth. Love love love them! I feel very confident in her care and relaxed in the dentists chair that lots of people dread! Not here! Can’t recommend the team highly enough, thank you.

Highly recommend popping into see Hygienist Paula - This was by far the best thing I have ever done for my teeth/mouth - I see my dentist annually and after all these years thought this was enough but honestly you will be shocked how amazing the results are, money very well spent. Paula was professional, informative and her positive light manner ensures you relax while you are there (yes Paula did sing while working LOL). I understand now the Hygienist visits are about prevention and maintenance - the annual Dentist visits are about x-rays and the ambulance. Contact her today - you wont regret it!

Paula was my hygienist and it was my first visit after six months of arriving in Nelson abd being. Nervous patient I finally decided to try Access Dental, after lots of recommendations - it was a very different experience to the usual cleaning session! She listened to me and was very caring and professional, I have such sensitive teeth so I really didn’t want the electric sonic cleaning that seems common practice these days, so I asked for the cleaning to be done manually. which she was happy to do and she did an amazing job! I can happily say I've been a patient with Access Dental for a few years now. Paula has been my hygienist for years always singing and making me feel great on the chair. I've had whitening too and it was a fantastic result. Going to the Dentist I've always been nervous but the team at Access are always caring and gentle. Highly recommend. Having pain in my gum for nearly a week, less than 24hrs after seeing Paula, who did an amazing job cleaning my teeth and gums, my pain has halved and the swelling has gone. Though I have always looked after my teeth, Paula has educated me about the importance of gum hygiene too.
