H.Richard and his team at Gentle Dental Nelson are really awesome they make you feel welcome and relaxed as soon as you walk in the doors from the receptionist through to the dental work i have had done. I haven't been to a dentist for over 15 years. Richard had to do a lot of work on on my teeth through this whole process Richard and his team keep me informed what they were doing and asked me weather i had any pain that's to the wand there was no pain. I would recommend any one to Richard and his team for any dental work

As a once very very nervous and reluctant patient, who put off seeing a dentist for years and years, I can honestly say that my experience at Gentle Dental has been transformative. N.As a victim of domestic violence since I was a toddler and right through into my 30s, my self-esteem has been very low due to shame, rotten and loose teeth and in general just not confident enough to take care of my mouth or ask for help. Having to do something at the age of 46 took me through the doors of Gentle Dental in Nelson. The team there are so kind and when I left after my first appointment, I sat in the car and cried my heart out because after meeting Richard and his team of kind caring ladies, I knew that my shame was something of the past and i was going to get the help to move forward physically and also mentally. I am still a client there after more than a year and I cannot recommend these guys enough if you have had a traumatizing past. Now my teeth and mouth are on their way to being 100 percent better than the day I first walked in. It's OK to be scared, and it's OK to cry. But don't let your teeth be the reason you miss out on so much in your life. Gentle Dental have given me a chance of living a life while holding my head up high. Thankyou so much from the bottom of my heart 💙
L.Wow! What a great team! Being a nervous patient, and not having been to a dentist for around 15 years because of those nerves, I was put at ease by Richard straight away and he went through everything step by step and didn't rush into anything I wasn't ready for. He certainly made me feel like I was in control and I cant speak highly enough of him and his team.

R.I avoided the dentist for over a decade because I was scared. When my dental health got too bad to ignore I went to gentle dental after a recommendation through a friend. They really do live up to their name! I can happily say that I am now on the path to having better dental health than I have in a long time due to the careful caring and painless experience I have had with Gentle Dental.
E.This experience has changed my whole outlook on dental work. I was having trouble with gum disease which was advancing quite aggressively - it was so inflamed and swollen which was painful and humiliating. I was brushing more than twice a day as instructed by a previous dentist but it was only getting worse. Within days of applying the techniques I was shown by Richard, the inflammation of the gums had drastically reduced just as he had promised. It has been literally a life changing experience as I was quite distressed about it and it was effecting my health. I am also super nervous about pain during dental work due to memories of the old dental nurse - this was not an issue at all, Richard and his team literally are "Gentle Dental" - this is an accurate description of a lovely, caring team who will look after you very well. If you have negative feelings or memories stopping you from visiting your dentist - You can do your health a favour and turn this all around with Gentle Dental. Thank You so much you guys. xxx

c.As a senior citizen, and after years of unsuccessful and frustrating dental experiences, I was recommended Gentle Dental on Bridge street Nelson.
I was amazed by the services from the time I walked through the door. As an older person, I find it very frustrating trying to have a conversation with someone who only looks at the computer and doesn't acknowledge the person in front of them.
The young girl explained that she was new, however I could see she was trying her best and she was polite and courteous.
I had been recommended Amy, one of the dentists. From the time she introduced herself to the time I left the practice, I have never been cared for in this manor, with the upmost respect and understanding. She treated me with the greatest professionalism and kindness. I didn't need to explain that I was nervous, she just knew and her compassion was greatly appreciated.
The procedure was completely painless and all through I had no doubt of her ability to do the job properly. She went out of her way to make me feel like a special patient. I have recommended her to many friends and all have been more then pleasantly surprised and happy with the outcome.
G.I have been to many dentists and had developed a fair bit of anxiety about having anything done. Thank you Richard for your incredibly calm and reassuring nature as you made the whole experience stress and pain free. Furthermore, the pain i had been experiencing in my jaw vanished over night and has never returned since i had the work done. utter bliss !
