Service from the hygienist was fantastic, she found things that others had missed and sorted it all out. A little pricey but worth it for the health of your teeth and gums.

Have been here twice, both times were incredibly smooth and easy. Both women who did work on me were incredibly friendly, bubbly, and open to any questions or concerns I had. They were both genuinely interested in making sure I had the best experience possible, and took a lot of care and pride in their work. I will absolutely be coming here in future for all my dental needs. And the price was very fair too!

I've been going to Theo and the team at Thorndon for a few years now and they have been great. I've had a variety of work done and they have been very thorough and professional and have explained every detail and discussed every option available. I credit my regular appointments with them to the lower overall costs I now experience with my dental care. I am happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a new dental team.

Very pleased with the superb service of these dentists. Melissa (dentist extraordinaire), Jesslyn (who can ease a tooth out without you even noticing) and Natalie (who has the gentlest touch of any dental hygienist I've ever been to) were all fantastic. Its very competitively priced and very professionally done and they are really keen to avoid pain for the patient.What a far cry from the days of the old"murder house" and the pedal and treadle machines which terrified a whole generation of school kids!. Can highly recommend them.

Everyone is really friendly, Melissa takes time to explain everything and answer all questions fully, she also listens well and is reassuring. Having previously had bad experiences with other dentists and clinics, I feel very comfortable coming here and am very thankful for this. I would definitely recommend Capital Dental Thorndon.

The staff here are LOVELY! I've been twice and have had great experiences both times. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because some of the services you get here (fillings, etc) are slightly more expensive than some of the other dentists I've been to in Wellington. So far it has been worth it to pay a little bit more for good service, plus they are very close to my workplace so I appreciate the convenience.

Staff at the Capital Dental Thorndon team were friendly and helpful organizing the appointment. I ended up needing an root canal after the consultation and have only done the first appointment so far. Theo was great, very good at communicating to let me know what's happening and he has my total trust!

Great personalized service and advice, friendly and professional staff, nice office setup, relaxing background music. My dentist and hygienist were clear and easy to understand, breaking down the plan and costs for the work I needed. Even got a demo for how to floss properly from the hygienist, which was great! I highly recommend Capital Dental

Very friendly staff and well priced. I'm not a big fan of going to the dentist but the team made me feel very comfortable. My dentist talked me through each step and what he was doing, etc. Definitely recommend.

I had walked past the Thorndon clinic many times and thought about going in. My previous regular dentist was across the other side of town and I really couldn't be bothered going there. I was drawn in by an awesome sign-up deal, and knew I needed treatment so headed in. I was very impressed with the service. After the initial consult, Theo took me through in detail all the work that would be needed, showing me diagrams and photos of how the teeth were structured. He explained why the work was needed. He took me through the various options and explained the benefits of each. Because of the state of my teeth I needed to have a hygienist session (well, three) first. This filled me with dread because I normally hate having hygienist work done. It's always far more uncomfortable and painful than full on dentist work. But Marija made it a delight. Not only was it (mostly) pain free, but I had some very lovely chats with an awesome person. At each stage of my dental work, I was given full and detailed explanations, and shown pictures of the completed work. Dental work is always pricey, but even so I found the rates reasonable. Especially with their sign-up offer. As many dentists do, I really appreciate the automated text message reminder of my appointment. As one who forgets stuff easily, it was really important. Reception was always friendly and I was recognised as soon as I walked in the door. This kind of personal attention is important to me. Overall, they had friendly, welcoming staff, very professional, and I would highly recommend them. It was also really good to know that, after years of neglect, I am finally taking good care of the teeth I have left.

Very happy (and lucky) to have been referred here, after a local dentist wanted to extract my 12 yr old's tooth - unnecessarily as it turns out. Mohammad did a fantastic job of saving the tooth instead, explaining everything along the way and reassuring my son throughout the process. Wonderful service all round from this friendly and efficient team - will definitely be making them our regular dentist clinic from now on!

My appointment at Capital Dental Thorndon was the best appointment I've had at any dental clinic before. The dentist was very communicative and seemed to really care that my teeth were well attended to. She did a great job. Highly recommended.

Great service, reminded me of appointments well and the clinicians are very thorough and professional. The first timer deal is also competitive for what you get. They don't make you feel awkward or guilty which is really why we all avoid the dentist! Five stars.

I have been to Capital Dental in Thorndon several times over the past year. Everyone I have dealt with has been professional, knowledgeable, extremely friendly (especially their receptionist) and accommodating. In particular, I am impressed with their dentist Theo Kay. Don't be fooled by Theo being in an early stage of his career. He knows his craft exceptionally well and implements a level of caring (and a few welcome techniques to distract from the sting of the injection) sometimes lacking in late career dentists. One of Theo's strengths is that he is a great communicator, keeping the patient informed throughout the procedure. I can highly recommend Theo and this practice.

Absolutely brilliant - squeezed me in on the same day I booked to re-bond my fractured filling knowing the discomfort it would cause leaving it until the next day. Options for treatment were discussed with me in detail and I was not pushed towards one option or the other. Work was done to a high standard and very professionally for a more than reasonable price that ACC could completely cover. Highly Recommend!!!

What a superb dentist! Highly recommend Mohammed and the team. He is amazing with children, put my six year old son at total ease. So much so George looks forward to his trips to the dentist! Thank you so much, really appreciate the time you took with George.

The people are just so lovely! If you're afraid of going to the dentist this place is perfect. Very comforting atmosphere and patient workers. Dr Alansary is especially caring and calming with very steady hands. Best dentist I could hope for, the service is absolutely superb. - Cici

Lovely staff, very thorough check up done by Theo and his assistant. Really enjoyed how Theo talked me through the results of the check up and gave me an opportunity to look over the quote to make sure I was happy with it. I didn’t feel pressured to continue with further treatment. Overall great experience.

My 7 year old has always been terrified of any dentist - even the mirror or the air would result in hysterical screaming and crying. General anesthetic was the only options offered to me to fix the 7 holes he had. But Mohammed, through his amazing bedside manner, humour and skill, has fixed all the holes PLUS has built a confidence in going to the dentist. I can't recommend him enough. What an extraordinary feat! I will always be grateful :)

Absolutely brilliant. Mohammed and his team were amazing when my 9 year old broke his two front teeth in an accident. I would recommend this dental surgery for any child, especially if they are nervous . The team had amazing patience and such a caring nature.

Little Emily had the most wonderful dental experience that a child could have. She was scheduled for dental work under GA, which was not needed due to the creativity and distraction techniques carried out by Mohammed and team. She was treated like a princess. Thanks guys.

We have had to great experiences at Capital Dental Thorndon in what could have been an extremely traumatic situation. The staff are all very friendly and put the children at ease quickly.

Capital Dental Thorndon are amazing, the dentists are competent and gentle and explain exactly what they are doing. The support staff are warm and friendly I can’t speak highly enough of them!

I highly recommend Theo and Capital Dental Thorndon. I hadnt been to a dentist in over 10 years. Theo was excellent. I was put of dentists by a previous painful experience, not the chase here. I'm not back on a regualr schedule with this my new dentist.
