Can't recommend Northpoint Medical and the team enough. For years I have been looking for a good GP for my health and really appreciate the thorough care from the medical staff. The reception staff were also very professional and ensured I was well informed of the processes and procedures. If you're looking for a medical centre, can't recommend another better!

I was feeling very nervous about my visit. I was greeted by warm and friendly staff on reception which helped put me at ease. I found Dr Balwin Jassal easy to talk to and after a thorough examination, he was able to diagnose my skin condition and treat it immediately! He gave me information to read, wrote down the name of my condition and also a reputable website for further information. He followed up with an email regarding the surgery's services for skin treatment etc. I left the surgery feeling very happy and very well informed! Top Mark's for care and professionalism!!

I would highly recommend this medical centre to do any medical procedure. The doctors and nurses are extremely skilled and patient. The procedure I had done was painless and effective, compared to what I've experienced elsewhere for the same procedure. Thank you for making me feel at ease from the beginning to the end.

This is a new clinic opened in the Albany village and these guys are really welcoming. The charges for the visit are pretty normal and may be less compared to other clinics. The new app makes it easy to book and cancel appointments. They have enough parking space in front or inside the building. There is a pharmacy next to the clinic and they do free prescription medicine. Note: the basement parking is only available till 5:45pm.

Had my 1st visit today and registered immediately. Reception is knowledgeable and knows what she's doing and Dr. Balwin's awesome. I felt well looked after. Equipments are all new, can't help but think they're spoiling patients with the comfort they effortlessly give. Bonus: they're less expensive as well.

We have been with the clinic since Jan 2020. Experience overall are excellent- nice staff, nice doctor and nice nurse. However, in the past few months, I have noted that they are fully booked for most of times. I have a 8-month baby at home and sometimes I just need a quick consult to see what's wrong with him when he had fever or something, but the feedback was always- we can only get the appointment 1 week later which is pointless to have that consultation in the first place. Also the clinic always request us to do a phone consult for my baby if he has a fever. Which I get it due to COVID, but sometimes I just need the doctor to check something that I may have missed, and especially when my baby can't speak to himself on what's wrong with him. Or if I can play the doctor, then I won't send him to the clinic :(. Opinion from a worried mom.....

I am very well taken care of by Northpoint medical centre for nearly 2 years. I have been to this clinic with extreme pain couple of times. Dr Balwin works with you to address your health concerns, rather than just telling you what to do. Awesome staff at the clinic, especially the practice manager very professional and caring. I know that I can present to Dr. Balwin with any healthcare concern and feel confident that he will address it to the best of his ability or get me to someone who can. Thank you for all the help over the years. Highly recommended😊

We were living in Mt.Roskill few years ago and used to visit the Mt.Roskill medical centre. It is a very average place with huge wait times and we were seeing a different doctor each visit. My wife was pregnant then and it was our first baby so the visits to the doctor were frequent. We probably saw 8 different doctors at the centre over a course of 1.5 years and Balwin Jassal was one of them. He was easily the best one there. Conversations with him were direct and reassuring at the same time. We were very clear about our situation and what to expect down the line. Therefore, when he opened his own practice at Albany, we just followed him there. Now we have also had a 2nd baby and all four of us are enrolled at this practice. Can be tricky to get an immediate appointment but it is just how it is due to demand. Can't recommend this guy enough! Staff are also welcoming and professional. 11/10.

First call, super nice reception team. Been there a couple of times. I really enjoy the system and they flexibility of the appointments. Also Dr. Baldwin is a friendly, charming doctor who genuinely cared about me. Only thing ... I went there to get my smear test done and the lady who I had my appointment with was not very friendy, difficult to talk to and rude when she sent me out. Also she would not listen to what I ask or give me any advise. Just in and out. During the whole appointment I felt very uncomfortable.

The reception staff are very professional and friendly. I was treated by the nurse Philippa and she's very kind and helped me recover from a skin infection. I've been to Dr Jassal for different medical problems and you can tell he is concerned about your health. When I've been to him for a problem, he's given me the right solution to get back to good health Best Medical Centre I've been with 👍

We’ve been with this practice since the beginning. We’re a family of two adults and two older teen girls. The reception staff are always friendly, helpful and accommodating. Dr Balwin is patient and caring. Our family have had a lot to deal with over the last couple years and we have been very grateful for the support and terrific medical expertise.

I am so pleased that I transferred to Northpoint Albany as my new Doctors Surgery. Dr B Jassal and the awesome team of Receptionists and Nurses that work there make any dealings with them a real pleaure. They are always courteous and friendly even when they are under pressure and busy. That makes such a difference for me.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, prompt service and a friendly team at this centre. The kids' play zone/waiting area is well-maintained. The receptionist was willing to listen and to act fast on my concern. The doctor was very professional and knew how to deal with the cranky toddler. Highly recommend this centre!

I saw 5 star and went there , how you can say the Dr. Balwin was awesome!!!!. He just do his routine and did not care about what you say. He did not even look at my hospital´s report.I did not find any willingness in him too help me. It was really disappointing. but nurses are wonderful.

If you have been looking to change your GP then this is the one you need to go for. We are family of 5 (with three boys) Dr Baldwin is the best GP I have ever had in NZ by far! He picked up my oldest boy's medical problem which was ignored by other GP for many years and refereed us to a specialist. Now he is in a special medical care. He basically saved my boys' life. I went in for sore shoulder and he noticed wart on my wrist and fixed it then as well as they do skin care too! Thanks so so so much for your detailed care!

We recently moved to Albany and had been looking out for a GP. It was a coincidence that Northpoint had just opened around the time we moved. I was wary at first as this was a new medical centre with no reviews. Being someone that likes to do his research before making decisions, I wondered if I would be able to put my trust in them to look after the health of my family. My wife and I decided to give them a chance and register with Northpoint partly due to the convenience of them being so close to where we live and I am so glad that we did! Every member of the team at Northpoint from Dr Divyan, Selina the nurse, and the team at reception have been so welcoming, friendly, and caring to us. We're always greeted with a smile and have been very well looked after whenever we've had to visit. My experience seeing Dr Divyan is that he is very detailed in his examination and does his best to cover all possibilities when coming up with a diagnosis. I was also pleasantly surprised when I received a call from him the day after I had brought my daughter in to see him, checking on how she was doing and following up on her immunisation record that we were unsure about at the time. We're absolutely stoked to have such an amazing Medical Centre so close to us and can see us staying with them for a very long time.
