V.I did the immigration medical check up here recently. The place has been renovated, looks fresh and fancy. Staff is so nice and professional as always even they are super busy now. When I had problem with the medical result from immigration, their staff Lorena was so helpful to follow up and arrange further tests for me immediately. Thank you so much Lorena!! It was my second time here, highly recommend to anyone who ask for good services! And remember to make a booking in advance but not last minute walk in.
C.Highly recommended Medical centre. Staffs are very nice and response quickly to the queries. They have parking space for customers as well. Clinic is very clean. My results came out fast. Keep up the good work.

A.Such a great team - office and doctors. There was no waiting time, we came 15 minutes before as instructed (free parking space on the site big PLUS). The doctors and nurses practitioner are so understanding and patient. Big shout to the supporting staff they are great, very friendly and professional!

E.It's been a rough road couple of months ago however I stayed because of my GP Dr. Saj one of the best GP I have been with so far.
Last week with my appointment, the reception/management has now improved with regards making appointment. It's seems this GP clinic is back on track! Keep going and you guys are doing a great job!
l.Great experience. Efficient, polite and humane staff indeed. During the level 4 lockdown, I inquired about doing an extra test for my immigration medical, because the clinic (with rude and cold staff unfortunately) where I had done my whole immigration medical never got back to me! Lorena, a healthcare assistant not only provided immediate guidance, but also offered to upload my test results on INZ website. I'd certainly approach SSMC for medical services in future.

N.I switched doctors to Tend in Kingsland from the previous bad experience at Symonds St Clinic & it so happens that the Symonds St Dr's. has closed down & is now being managed by Tend so disregard my earlier rating of 1 Star, everybody deserves a second chance & the Dr's & nurses have been taking very good care of me. I recommend Tend also because you can book your appointments easily with your smartphone through the Tend app.

P.I rang and rang, left messages sent emails no reply for well over two weeks. I ended up ringing the pharmacist who assured me the clinic was open. She took my name and number and took to reception. No call back, I rang her again. She left my details with the manager. Still no reply! Very unprofessional. I ended up going in, the excuse given was they had new reception staff. My doctor claimed she did not know. This was well over three weeks ago, the date today is 3.02.2021

E.I like the staff here, and I believe that they are helpful and friendly. However, the centre needs to work on its precision in terms of timings of appointments. It is not acceptable to wait 15 minutes for an appointment, in my humble opinion. I was early and checked in at the desk, and still had to wait over 15 minutes, I don't really understand this. I am confident though that they can improve this and I am happy to continue using this centre :)
J.I booked an appointment with them on September 17th to get my eyes seen. I have read lots of reviews about them here and the majority of the reviews are quite bad. I was worried and skeptical about booking with them but I got no choice due to immediate availability. I have to say the experience was PLEASANT! The receptionist (Amir) was very professional and friendly! The nurse was very chatty and friendly, which made the visit less stressful. My doctor was Dr. Prasad! Nothing but PROFESSIONAL! He was very professional and gentle and thoughtful in the way of giving care to his patient. I will definitely enroll here once I am able to.

C.Excellent! My doctor has been amazing with myself and my kids. I've lived in 4 cities and this is by far the best experience I have had. Been going here for more than a year now and feel completely confident all the medical needs of my family will be dealt with quickly and adequately. I never feel like I am being rushed out, instead I know I am listened to and diagnosed properly.
Customer service is brilliant too (despite the busyness of the medical centre) and all reception staff are friendly and helpful.
Z.Being new to New Zealand, it wasn't easy for me to adjust to a whole new system of doing things, especially when it comes to health care. I was always used to having good relationships with my doctor or health care provider back home. And when I came to Auckland, I had been through a couple of medical centres and was unfortunately let down in terms of their customer service.
I was so happy when I found Symonds Street Medical Centre. It felt like I was back home again. The staff - receptionist, doctor and nurse were really helpful and did a great job in answering all my questions. There were particular instances that stood out where they delivered the best customer service compared to the other ones I've been to:
- I had forgotten my passport at home which was required for my appointment. Despite this, the receptionist told me to just send her a copy of my passport and quickly took my details. The whole process of filling out the necessary forms took less than 5 minutes.
- The medical results were sent to me the following day.
- They replied immediately to my email enquiries.
- They remind me of my appointments and make recommendations on the best times to schedule appointments.
These things together with a friendly and professional staff have certainly made me feel comfortable and right at home.

J.I've been coming here since 2015. This review is about my most recent visit.
First, let me just say that the reception staff was attentive and friendly. I really appreciated one of the receptionists finding me and updating me on how long it would be until I could see the doctor. She could have let me sit there wondering if I had been forgotten or if there was an issue (it had been about 35 minutes of waiting), but her effort to communicate to me was very appreciated.
The doctor always takes his time asking me about why I am visiting and the details of my issue. I've never felt "shoved out the door"
The main reason I decided to write this review was to speak about the excellent experience I had with one of the nurses/phlebotomists. Her professionalism and friendliness really helped dealing with all of the needles much easier and the way she was able to inform me what she would do, what she was doing, and what had been done (what kind of test it was and what the results meant) far exceeded my expectations. I cannot commend her enough for the quality of her work (a smooth, painless process for taking the blood) and the manner in which she did it.)
I have had good and bad experiences with a variety of medical centres, but I am happy to say I have always had really good experiences with Symonds Street Medical Centre.
K.Extremely helpful staff. I came in for an immigration medical appointment twice and wasn't let down even once. Quite thorough and professional right from confirming my appointment to accommodating me when I needed the appointments to submission of my results. Although it is a very busy environment, I was welcomed with a smile, the reception and medical staff are friendly.
Not to mention, they quote the cheapest price! I highly recommend these guys.
D.In contrary to the other reviews, My experience with the medical centre has always been pleasant (which is not how you would normally describe going to the doctors). Reception were always friendly and informed me when the doctor was running late. The doctor and nurses are professional and knowledgeable. Great work team!
j.I searched for all Auckland Hospitals where Full Immigration Medicals are provided and found Symonds Street Medical Centre as affordable and great parking spaces provided. Not only that, the staffs at the reception was very helpful and provided are comfy waiting lounge. The Nurses and the Doctors provides wonderful and quick service. I love this Medical Centre that I would strongly recommend it to my family and friends and whoever is looking for General Practitioners or Immigration Medicals. W.Nurse Jenny just took a blood sample and she was so quick and pain free. This is the second time she has taken a sample from me and she was awesome both times. I've never had blood samples taken so well before. Reception was also great, as I was just a walk in patient and they found a slot for me. Thank you.
M.I heavily disagree with the past reviews, the experience of going to Symonds Street Medical Centre was outstanding.
The reception staff are amazing at keeping you updated on all reports and results, being a part of the new generation I find it easier and much simpler to check and reply to text messages rather than emails and phone calls but this staff do all that is possible to contact you which includes making sure which option better fits your lifestyle and if the option that you chose is unreachable at the time, they will be sure to use all other options to contact you which proves how reliable they are.
As for keeping you updated on the medical staff is running behind, which is quite rare, they do everything they can to have you see and do whatever it is you want to get done as soon as possible.
The medical staff is so friendly, I've never had a bad experience with them, they are cheap, they keep everything confidential and are wonderful to talk to.
In my experience, this medical centre is amazing and I couldn't be happier to have chosen them as my GP/medical centre of choice.

M.Really accommodating staff despite being so busy. I've experienced being at the medical centre and witnessing some unreasonable patients being dealt with calmly and respectfully by the staff. I have to disagree with the other reviews as I always find my appointments with my doctor to be very thorough and feel like I'm cared for. My family and I always go back to Symonds Street med centre even if we don't live close to Symonds St. anymore.
J.It was overall a great experience for immigration x-rays (E-medical) for a reasonable price. Nurses and X-ray specialist were really professional and keen to help and make you feel comfortable. Fast and reliable. I would have rated 5 stars but there was a little bit of a problem with one of the attendees (she seemed to be a team leader or maybe the manager) that was really confused handling the files/payments and giving information to the patients. This very same person was insistently knocking at the door of the X-ray specialist during my wife's appointment despite that I told her that they might have been right at the middle of the procedure (which requires clothing removal). I think that a training for all staff on the overall procedures and how to address the patients under certain circumstances would suffice to overcome this. Good experience though. I recommend it.
J.Great service provider, especially for my immigration medical certificates. The friendly and professional staff are great. I've used them several times and recommended them to family and friends. Parking is a bit tough as there are only three patient stalls, but there is a Wilson parking lot across the street that is convenient and Symonds Street is surprisingly easy to cross.
A.For the past 4 years this medical centre has looked after me and my family. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming with every visit. Fees for consultation are reasonable. Pharmacy on site is very handy too. Just need to add more parking spaces for the growing number of patients.
R.I had my medical assessments in this facility for my immigration visa requirement and I had a great experience here in Symonds. The staffs, the receptionists, the doctors, nurses, and the practice manager Mrs Aira North were so accommodating and polite. The facility as well as their operations are well organized. H.Thank you SSMC for rectifying the problem today. Had 2 appointment cancellations in a span of a week due to GPs short staff and was very frustrated and disappointed in the waiting period. Glad to have had the clinical management team contact me to come see the doctor straight away given the urgency and waiting time. GP and nurses were on to it. For future cases and for feedback, please call patients about cancellations instead of text messages, leave messages on voicemail if you cant get hold of patients and email contact please. Thanks again!
K.Possibly the best medical centre i have ever been to. The reception staff are good and never make you feel like you are an inconvenience. Doctors are great, in particular Dr Nawaf and Dr Tahira (though I have to wait at times :;). The last thing you feel like is a number. I have been to other practices where i have paid full consultation fees and been treated so rudely by reception staff and worst of all by the doctors themselves.
P.s this is the first review i have ever written about anything so it must be good! Great work folks.
H.I went there for my Working Holiday Visa.
They managed to push me in spontaneously witch was very good. I don't know about the normal waiting times if you have a longterm appointment but I had to wait quite a long time. Me having to wait longer is a fair trade thow considering that I made the apoinment only 2 hours before the consultation.

I had a very bad comment on this Clinic previously wich was the consequents of a big missunderstanding witch led to a 1 star rating.

The doctor is very comunicative and helped me to understand what was actually going on.

C.I came to SSMC for my medical. The clinic’s accessibility is great, the place is cosy and colorful. It doesn’t look like of a typical medical clinic. Everything here is organize, ran smoothly and fast. Although my work is related to healthcare I am fearful of needles. I appreciate the Phlebotomist used a butterfly needle for my blood collection. I appreciate the Radiologist and GP ‘s friendly gestures and they uphold their clients privacy and supply adequate information before and after procedures. The receptionist are accomodating and helpful either in phone or in the clinic.
Just a little notice to the toilet. It is clean but Garbage bins are full just need to be follow up by a cleaner.
This place is highly recommended.

a.Here is my brief experience;after your test if you ring them for results, no one picks up the phone so you will have to go through their appointment making extension! Moreover, we had to repeat a test and the result was ready the same day, but it took them another week to submit the results to immigration and that happened after I had a go with them over the phone! They get the job done, but timing, they need to improve!
G.went in to get my flue shot and everything went smoothly. As with every establishment, there was a waiting time, the front desk took care of me, and when it was my turn, the nurse did her job well. Nice and friendly atmosphere.

J.My family and I are registered at Symonds Street Medical Centre. Dr Tamer has been my GP since I moved to Auckland. The clinical staff are friendly and professional. The results are communicated to me on a timely manner and I get reminders for the routine tests that i need to do.

K.Dr Andrew Grobler was recommended to me by a medical professional some years back and I have had to fortune to have him as my preferred GP and Skin Specialist ever since. For years I had suffered with skin cancers and now thanks to Dr Grobler everything is under control. His patience and understanding is second to none as he takes time to find out about your past medical history and looks for treatments best to suit your conditions.
The follow up from the clinic is also extremely helpful reminding us to have our injections and blood pressure tests etc.
The new clinic encompassing a Pharmacy is to be commended as it is great to be able to get a prescription filled immediately particularly for the locals who walk to the surgery and would have a long way to go to find another pharmacy.
After a fall I was very grateful to be able to have X-rays done on the spot, all very convenient and practical.
The practice nurses are fantastic, I have never had painless injections until I met Dr Grobler and his team.
All the staff are very helpful and professional and do their very best even though it is an extremely busy surgery. I have personally recommended the clinic to many of my friends who are also happy with the attention they have been given and will continue to recommend Symonds Street medical in the future.

G.I've had best doctor consultations at SSMC. From my experiences in other NZ medical centres, doctors tried to avoid giving out referrals or prescriptions, but the doctors here listened to my concerns and gave me treatments accordingly. If you want to have a consultation where your concerns are actually considered, I suggest visiting SSMC. All the staff members are also very friendly and professional despite their busy environment!

Went there for medical checks, they suggested me several solutions without charged me anything. However, the one down queen st charged me without solving anything even no any helpful suggestions.

Bazı tahlil işlemleri yaptırmıştım, sıramı beklerken küçüklüğümde Samatya Devlet Hastanesi koridorlarında babamla yine tahlil sıramı beklediğim zamanlar aklıma geldi. 2 saate yakın bekledik iki kişinin tahlil işlemi için. Sırf o yüzden puanı ortada tuttum.
Ayrıca Türk olduğumu öğrenince orada çalışan bir Türk arkadaşı bana yönlendirmişlerdi buradan selam olsun kendisine :)
