I recently was admitted to NS Hospital with a bit of a heart problem. Like most everyone I dislike being a patient. I had heard about sub- standard care and awful food. Whoever’s is spreading those rumours has to be nuttier than squirrel poo. I have been treated with nothing but care respect. My nurse Freddie is just wonderful - She is so caring, even when she is finished tending to my needs she is always asking if there is anything more she can do for me and she does with a wonderful smile that just lights up your day, especially when you are a wee bit concerned about things. Freddie is not alone-, it seems just about everyone involved in my care really does care.
I think the work that they do has to be done by “special”people who genuinely love what they do. They work long stressful hours and do so with care and respect for all their patients. It does take special people like Freddie to care as much as they do and I for one am so very grateful that their are so many of them at North Shore. Thanks to all the staff for their care and devotion and to Freddie who was my care nurse you are terrific !!!
R.My wife was admitted into selective surgery department last Sept. She didn't have to wait long to have her surgery and she mentioned she receiving great care from nurses and doctors at northshore hospital. Special thanks to Min Hee and night shift nurses.
J.In for "elective" surgery. Operation and facilities excellent. Post operative information and care non existent. Kinda like.. guess how to do post OP home care. Real let down on otherwise great facility
