Excellent care and service during two urgent visits while on a ten day holiday in Queenstown. On both occasions we were seen really promptly, and provided with very thorough and friendly care. The handover between team members was efficient and we were communicated with during any delays. No-one likes to have to seek medical attention during a holiday (well, any time really!), but the Queenstown Medical Centre made it almost effortless.

Visited today with my daughter. Extremely friendly staff and the doctor. I was a bit worried to visit the hospital when I read previous reviews however my experience has been very different. The registration and appointment process was very smooth and fast as we were a first time patient. Appointment was scheduled immediately on the phone and when we reached, we were attended to immediately without any wait.

Well I met a lovely nurse called Caro, who I had an appointment with.
She was so nice and friendly and put me at ease. I really enjoyed my appointment with her.
She was very knowledgeable and I am glad in my future visits she will be my nurse.
I felt a real connection with her .
Most of the appointment we were laughing like we had known each other for years.
Just because you have a Health issue, doesn't mean you want to be treated like your sick or unwell.
I was treated with care and respect and I felt like a human being leaving the nurses office not just a number on the waiting list.
Her knowledge was impressive and you showed you cared.
Please don't change my nurse. SHE'S A SPECIAL LADY.
Who wants to be treated like a sickness.
medical centre staff don't know how much just a warm greeting or a smile can mean to someone.
Especially when they are not well.
There's a lot of added pressure on medical centres now and drs and nurses,
And thank you for
All that you do.
And thank you CARO
YOUR ONE IN A MILLION.

Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. She went out of her way to make my sister comfortable in the waiting room and was very nonjudgmental. The two nurses we saw were friendly, warm and empathetic and despite being very busy were calm and caring. The nurses were very helpful in their descriptions of pain management and what was going on and lightened the mood a lot. Despite it being New Year’s Day and having an obvious wait time they worked quickly and we had a very good experience with all the staff here.

I went in with an injury to my ankle, and the receptionist was really helpful and polite, and they let me know straight away that I may need to visit the hospital. The wait wasn’t long, especially considering it was New Year’s Day. The nurses that I saw were both super helpful and friendly. Overall, I had a really good experience there!

Wife was in for a visitors appointment and all staff were friendly. Receptionist informed on wait time before hand and waiting area was comfortable. Nurses and Dr were very helpful and friendly. Thanks!

Fabulous medical centre with friendly and welcoming staff. Very impressed with their Nurse Practitioner and nurses who gave excellent medical care. I really appreciated being able to walk in without an appointment and being looked after.

Went here for immigration medical check. Probably the most expensive in town but very quick with the service. There's a pharmacy and cafe upstairs for convenience

Dr. Elinor Slater was professional, super friendly and patient with my grandma. Being a visitor travelling in New Zealand, she was lucky to receive such thorough medical check when she needed it. All the staffs and the nurse was very nice to us. I highly recommend this place especially they provide walk-in convenience for those minor emergencies while travelling. Grateful for the expertise and services they provided.

Took our daughter in right on opening time today, got in straight away, the nurse and doctor Mark were lovely and we were out within 40 mins with medicine in hand. No problems with us being a visitor to Queenstown, looked after our travel insurance needs, overall great experience. Highly recommend.

Had myself the best experience there. Excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The woman at front desk charged me by mistake an extra 100NZD and she called me a few days later when she realized so I would get it back, I hadn't even realized so I was happily impressed. The nurses and doctors all walked me through the process with care and kindness. All of them wished me luck with my studies for my work visa.
I'm delighted and grateful.
Thanks very much, I come from a place where this is not normal, it just feels right to be taken care of.
Thanks again.

Visited here for a severally blocked ear. Nurse saw me in 5 min and the doc 25 min later. Doc’s diagnostic was very good and found a simple and effective fix. Walked in stressed and walked out feeling good (and with a clear ear). Cost as an overseas patient was as excepted.

Helped with my wife's injury. Very positive experience overall.

As a visitor, I wasn't too sure if I would be seen, as I came here at about 4 on a Friday afternoon. However, the reception staff said it was no problem but it could be an hour wait.
I was seen and treated within half an hour. Both the nurse and doctor on duty were wonderful and caring. They helped me massively, and also gave me recommendations for longer term treatment once I got back to the UK (more than the UK doctors I've seen have ever done!!)
I would highly recommend coming here if in need.

Definitely had a bit of a wait here but not sure what else they can do when there's a sudden influx of patients and they need to triage, thus the 5-star rating. The doctor who saw me was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to listen to my concerns. Car parking here is tricky, and you'll probably have to loop around the block a few times to find a spot. There's a carpark in front of the Medical Centre but it's often full. A pharmacy on the top floor of the Centre fulfills any prescriptions.

Came here for a walk in appointment while on holiday. Despite the lengthy wait time (school holidays in both AUS and NZ) staff were as efficient as possible, professional and knowledgeable. Duty nurse Liz Taylor and Dr. Hart provided excellent care. Thank you!

I was visiting from out of town, I had a small pregnancy scare. N.P Gaylene & Radiology staff put my mind at ease with great attentive service & ensuring myself & baby were safe. Appreciate the wonderful service, during a scary time😊.

I luckily don't need to go to see a doctor often, but needed tons of paperwork done for immigration. The staff was friendly and it was super convenient to get everything done in one place. (Blood test, chest x-ray and medical exam). You will need to go twice about 5 days apart since the lab tests need to be done so the Dr. has the results but that was easy and efficient. Highly recommend Elinor Slater, the doctor we used.

I saw Dr Jenny Pond at QMC walk-in clinic at Queenstown. I can't fault the service I've received from all the staff, and Jenny is truly an outstanding doctor. From the short experience I've had, I'd honestly rate this as the best experience I've had with a medical professional. Jenny was clear, thorough, and caring, and follow-up by phone has been second to none. I was impressed she was able to take blood on-site and had the results within a few hours. This enabled her to determine whether antibiotics were required. This is so progressive - so many doctors still don't seem to realise the harm that routine prescription of antibiotics is causing (creating resistant bugs, and sometimes ill-health through overuse.) She advised me to take them but when I chose not to, she advised a second blood test and even phoned back with the results. I find this outstanding - most doctors delegate this to a receptionist or nurse, and even then they don't phone if results are 'normal'.
Thankfully, the warning signs had come right down, and it was nice for me (personally) to get confirmation my natural healthcare was working. I find it is unfortunately so unusual to get efficiently tested and diagnosed, and respected by a doctor - let alone to receive this kind of follow through. Most of my experiences with doctors in NZ have been either they don't know what's wrong, don't want to know, or think they know (but won't explain the causes) and so hand out a prescription.
Jenny, I can see you have exceptional rigour and professionalism. I can only hope you eventually join us on the 'dark' side of integrative and natural health - whilst hopefully staying as a medical doctor, because the profession needs people like you! If you're interested, I used turmeric, garlic, ginger, lemon, vitamin C, grapefruit juice, organic chicken broth, thyme/Manuka/eucalyptus inhalations, and a tonic of Kawakawa etc (Kiwiherb). :)

Please convey my thanks and appreciation to Dr Elinor Slater for the care and consideration she has provided so consistently throughout the years. She is pure salt of the earth, a delightful individual, and always ready with a listening ear in times of personal crises.

Had a nasty respiratory infection. Dr. Alex Caramello checked me out, prescribed antibiotics, told me to go to Bespoke kitchen for coffee (great place!) and recommended a visit to Glenorchy, (which I did and loved). Thank you Dr. Alex!

The doctor and the nurse was very
professional and we had an excellent attendance. They explained all the problem and the importance of the prescription.

Unfortunately i split my head open Downhill Mountain biking and was sent here. The team were great, both profesional and friendly, and I was fixed up in no time. Didn't cost too much either.
