D.Faced with an unexpected diagnosis, it was great to have such an experienced, knowledgeable surgeon who was very speedy in his approach. Dr Makary knows his field well and takes the time patients need to feel comfortable with what they are facing.
His ability to have fun with patients lightens the mood which is often needed, in what can be a stressful time for woman.
His drive to do the best for each patient leads to a better outcome, this I found to be very true for me.
Dr Makary's follow up post op and Teresa's help answering admin questions were greatly appreciated.
J.Dr Albert Makary is a man of many talents and also Teresa! I was referred onto him by my sister with the issues I was having and I could not fault anything. AMAZING!!! Takes the time to find out what the problem is and fixes it. I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone !! He is the best at what he does by far . Dr Makary you have literally changed my life and I am so thankful for that .
I.After being reccomended to see Dr Makary for secondary surgery (first surgery was a failure, lasting 5 years), I was impressed at his depth of knowledge, understanding and the way in which he actually listened to what I had to say. Skilled in his treatment and offering solutions that actually work. After care and follow up with Dr Makary and the wonderful Teresa were not to be faulted and I would not hesitate to reccomend an appointment with Dr Makary enough - Don't wait or put it off, get seen get treated & begin to live a better more comfortable life!
m.Dr Makary is without a doubt, one of the best Gynecologists in Timaru. Not only has he helped deliver some of my 7 boys, but has been my Gynecologist for the last 5 years. He is a wonderful, caring man with an awesome sense of humour. From my first consultation through to my Hysterectomy and aftercare he has been amazing, Albert took the time to listen and explained everything thoroughly and was very reassuring, discussing all my options and answering all my questions.
My recovery has been amazing, not to mention his incision work is perfection.

M.Dr MaKary is amazing he is the most caring n friendly doctor i have ever met after 5 years of living in continuous pain and doctors not listening to me i finally came across Albert. There was no mucking round with in a month or so i was straight in for my first op which then led to my second op of receiving a hystirectomy all within 6months. This man changed my life and i am so greatful to beable to carry on my life pain free.
W.Dr Makary was the specialist for both my pregnancies, my endometriosis treatment, and most recently my hysterectomy. I love his bedside manner - he is super witty. When it comes to talking treatment he is direct and no nonsense. Without a doubt he has his patient's best interest and well being as his first and foremost priority. I have complete faith in Dr Makary, and look forward to seeing him at my check up appointments.
k.Dr Makary is absolutely amazing at what he does! After a year and a half of trying for a baby we fell pregnant 4 months after our first consult. I cannot recommend his services highly enough.

r.Having never needed a gynaecologist before I had heard some intimidating stories but here is a fab reveiw for you. If you ever need this type of services then I hope you are lucky enough to get Dr Makary. Awesome surgical skills, only one night in hospital, kept me fully informed about procedure and options from first consultation through to last "all clear" appointment. None of my dumb questions were left unanswered in a way I could understand so felt confident and looked after the whole 6 months and he has a wicked sense of humour!
M.Dr Makary looked after my pregnancies and was/is also my gynaecologist and my experiences with him have been exceptional. He takes time to listen to all my concerns and looks deep into medical history to make sure nothing has been missed. He made me feel comfortable during every session

R.Doctor Makary is not only a great doctor/gynaecologist ( or the best in NZ i must say), he’s gem of a person too. Always greeting people with a smile. From my very first visit, I knew he was the doctor for me. He comforted us and assured us at all the stages that he had things in control and he did indeed.
Throughout my journey of dealing with severe endometriosis and then going through surgery his dealing was great. We have not met a doctor so compassionate and yet professional till date.
We had loads of questions on every visit, we were never rushed in or out of appointments. Always listened to and answered all our questions.
Dr. Makary is like god to us. Having got me out of such unbearable pain, makes me feel like a complete different person.
With god’s grace and guidance from Dr. Makary we are pregnant and cannot thank him enough for what he has done for us.
This disease is not talked about as much as it should. But if you are in a position that you need help, do get in touch with him.

A fabulous man and an amazing surgeon.
Following Dr Makarys diagnoses of my conduction a decided to seek a secondary opinion.
Not only did the following surgeon suggest to run with Dr Makarys recommendations she also said that I was in very good hands.
She told me that Dr Makary was a highly respected surgeon with many years experience.
His great sense of humor bought such light to my whole ordeal.
I am extremely grateful to him, I honestly feel like a new women.
