s. z.Went to see Toby for my daughter first, she was in agony and could not walk without pain. We had been to see physiotherapists and podiatrists without much luck. After her first appointment she was able to walk out by herself without much pain - a few months later and she is very happy and doesn’t seem to have any issues anymore.
Seeing her results I also booked myself in to treat my tendinitis and I’m also getting better!
Both Toby and Charlie are great, have a very friendly attitude, good holistic philosophy and explain things well. I’m very happy we found them!
N. C.After 25 years of chronic lower back pain which I’d seen multiple specialists for in at least two countries, I didn’t hold our a lot of hope of things improving. Toby told me to give them some time and patience and they’d sort it. Nine or ten months in, while not cured, the improvement is much more than I could have hoped for after 25 years. M.I truly have the utmost respect and appreciation for the work and effort that was put forth by Toby and the team at Featherston Pain Clinic.I've endured a great deal of pain over the years to say the least, with absolutely no words to really pinpoint the kind of pain I was going through at the time. I've had countless doctors visits, tried natural healing, herbs, Changing my diet as many have achieved great results when combined with exercises. Despites the minimal improvements I've had with the above, total exhaustion became something even more apparent with Little to no exercises and worsening by day. Which meant doing the usual things like getting out of bed, going to work, and playing sport becomed the hardest thing for me to do.

J. H.I came across this place by accident, but Im relieved I did as Toby has, quite literally, changed my life.
I recently commenced Shockwave Treatment and the results have been incredible. I noticed a difference after the first session. After 6 sessions, I no longer have pain in my foot and can walk comfortably. This for me is totally life changing.
I started treatment following midfoot fusion surgery for Tarsal Metatarsal arthritis (... an aftereffect of a previous surgery to fix a Lisfranc fracture dislocation of my foot 19 years earlier..) The purpose of the surgery was to stabilise the joint and enable me to walk without pain. Unfortunately following the surgery complications set in. Orthopaedically the bones looked fine on an xray, yet my body was unable to heal itself. The pain was inescapable even with increasing medication. After months of traditional treatments (physio, acupuncture) resulting in zero progress I was incredibly frustrated and getting nowhere.
Both Toby & Charlie at the Featherston St Pain Clinic have been amazing. I am now off all pain medication and I'm at the tail end of my treatment. They were able to provide a level of service that no other practitioner has.
Toby is practically Jesus in my mind.

M.After wondering where to get new inersoles. I came across the Featherston Street pian Clinic on Google. These are not any old inersoles, they are small and compact and fit into any shoe I have tried. I have been wearing the new inersoles for a couple of months and am enjoying them.

s.I went to the Pain Clinic for severe pain in my foot that was causing me to limp, Tobias figured out it was gout and tried lasering my foot. After the first treatment the pain was 70% gone, after the 2nd treatment it was 100% gone. I would highly recommend this service to anyone.

C. M. L.I went to see Toby on the advice of my boyfriend when I experienced extreme pain in my shoulder and neck. After one session, the pain was gone. I continued to work with Toby on a plan, which included cupping and exercises to strengthen the area, I no longer have issues with my neck and shoulder.
When I developed pain in my knee and hip post ankle surgery, it was back to Toby. We are currently working through a plan which has included new orthotics (which have been a major help) and shockwave sessions, my rehab is getting back on track. Would highly recommend!
C. F.Excellent clinic. I came into the clinic not knowing what scar tissue was or that l had it in both my flat feet, especially the problematic more flat one. Meeting Charlie was eye opening to that I didn't have a spur growth, or out of shape foot bone, but had me finding out why I had the scar tissue (no proper support i.e. going without more rigid custom orthotics in shoes for 45,000 steps a week) and that she could treat it on the spot with a shockwave treatment machine, plus realising that my flexible orthotics weren't cutting the mustard. ONE visit 10 MINUTES with the machine destroyed a visible protrusion of the scar tissue on the feet. A second visit to Toby to assess my gait revealed rigid but not too rigid orthotics (custom created from the gait analysis) is the way forward. More sessions for shockwave therapy are offered plus exercise recommendation to help increase glute muscle. All this will help bring more balance (in all senses) & content to my body. Bang for the buck.

Over the years I've known him he's fixed my chronic ear ache, and got me walking straight again evertime I've injured my back. In particular a locked up sacroiliac joint.

C. M.I don't know what I would do without these guys. Toby saved my neck, my knees, and my mental health along with it. I was barely able to turn my head when I first went to Toby - in a lot of pain. In a matter of weeks I was getting my range of motion back. But the coolest thing about these guys is they actually want to get to the root cause of the issues. I went in with neck pain and came out with orthotics - a lot of times the problems start with your feet! If you are in pain or have limited range of movement, definitely go see these guys. Charlie is awesome as well - they actually care about making you well.

Whatever pain you are experiencing (I had a locked wrist and locked neck, and pretty much immobile!) after trialing different treatments including the physio (and nothing were healing after months), I decided to go and see Toby. M.I have had ongoing pain in my leg and hip for a year. I was at a loss of what to do and then saw Toby. I was unsure of what type of treatment was available at the clinic, but I felt after my initial appointment that Toby understood what was happening with my body and how to treat it. Not long after starting with Toby, my whānau had two significant trauma events. I wasn't sure how I would cope, if I would continue with treatment and what my future would look like. I decided to prioritise looking after myself and I have been totally supported in my health journey, my treatment has rapidly reduced and restored the functionality in my body, lessoned the pain significantly and helped me see a way through what have been some very dark days. I can't tell you exactly what Toby does, it involves some machines, some gentle manipulation, some kōrero, and a huge amount of ngākau aroha. Sometimes you find the people you need in your life, exactly when you need them. I think that's why I found the Featherston Street Pain Clinic.

H. R.Wonderful customer service. I made a request 7.30 Monday morning. Toby rung me 15 minutes later. I was in Wellington 1 day and I was fitted in for 2 separate appointments. First one treatment with sonic waves (which worked) and later a foot scan to future proof the treatment. I felt listened to and well looked after.

This is a professional outfit with a very diverse knowledge base. They use both traditional methods and some quite fancy machines that I have no idea the name of.

P. N.I've been visiting Toby for almost a year for chronic pain in the thoracic spine/shoulder/neck area. Previously I have seen physiotherapists, osteopaths, neurologists and have had a diagnostic cortisone injection but none of these traditional treatments led to long term relief or addressed the root cause of the pain. I've really appreciated the holistic approach that Toby and the team have taken to helping me get long term relief and the fascial stretching and shock wave therapy of late has made quite a difference. H.For so long I have lived with unbearable shoulder, back and neck pain, for 12 years I have spent time, money and energy trying to find a treatment, I was restricted in every day life before coming in to see Toby. I had a car crash years ago which did more damage than I thought. I came to see Toby with little hope left for getting my issues fixed, we have spent so far 3 months treating my back, shoulder and neck pain, I now for the first time have been pain free. Instead I got a comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation programme. Toby didn't give up on my stubborn back, and tried a bunch of things until we got somewhere. I had been to physios, surgeons, my GP etc and all told me just to be patient. Toby and the team had a different view and knew that I had a build up of scar tissue that was causing issues. They set to work on getting me not just back to full health, but with exercises, acupuncture, cupping, massage, orthotics and more that mean hopefully fewer injuries in the future. The relief from pain wasn't instant, it did take work and perseverance, but now my ankle is better than before!

C.100% recommend Toby's services to anyone for anything pain and rehab related. I was resigned to the fact that my back niggle from a couple of old sports injuries was something I'd have to live with and something that would impact me being able to give it 100% when exercising (is this just getting old?) I stumbled upon Toby by chance. I'd seen a sports doctor, physio, osteo, chiro and they'd been no help. I started on a rehab programme with him and was amazed the niggle I'd had for at least a few years went away!

After surgery, and two years of seeing multiple physios I was told, at 27 years old, there was nothing more that could be done for the pain in my hip and that it was just something I would just have to live with. Pain killers to take the edge off for the rest of my life. I wasn’t sleeping, I had no energy and couldn’t sit or stand still for more than 10 mins without the pain getting too intense. My first session I left crying - it was the first time I had reduced pain in 3 years and he had given me hope that there was a way out of this. It’s been a few months of 2x weekly treatments and the pain is gone, which something I never thought would happen is. Tobi is still following up with me to ensure the pain stays away, and when there is a little niggle he fixes me up straight away.
