Went to see Toby for my daughter first, she was in agony and could not walk without pain. We had been to see physiotherapists and podiatrists without much luck. After her first appointment she was able to walk out by herself without much pain - a few months later and she is very happy and doesn’t seem to have any issues anymore. Seeing her results I also booked myself in to treat my tendinitis and I’m also getting better! Both Toby and Charlie are great, have a very friendly attitude, good holistic philosophy and explain things well. I’m very happy we found them!

After 25 years of chronic lower back pain which I’d seen multiple specialists for in at least two countries, I didn’t hold our a lot of hope of things improving. Toby told me to give them some time and patience and they’d sort it. Nine or ten months in, while not cured, the improvement is much more than I could have hoped for after 25 years. Contacted the team after an injury not knowing exactly what I needed, within the first session we walked through all the issues I was facing, areas I needed to improve and had a perfect plan in place for everything I needed to do. Approx. 12 months ago I was on crutches and could barely walk. I was told to pop pain relief until I could have hip surgery when I was "older" - this was depressing to hear as an active 38 year old. Finding them was an absolute game changer, well, particularly for my foot and neck. Anyone knows you need the body to be in top shape or else you can't perform at your best. I came across this place by accident, but Im relieved I did as Toby has, quite literally, changed my life. I recently commenced Shockwave Treatment and the results have been incredible. I noticed a difference after the first session. After 6 sessions, I no longer have pain in my foot and can walk comfortably. This for me is totally life changing. I started treatment following midfoot fusion surgery for Tarsal Metatarsal arthritis (... an aftereffect of a previous surgery to fix a Lisfranc fracture dislocation of my foot 19 years earlier..) The purpose of the surgery was to stabilise the joint and enable me to walk without pain. Unfortunately following the surgery complications set in. Orthopaedically the bones looked fine on an xray, yet my body was unable to heal itself. The pain was inescapable even with increasing medication. After months of traditional treatments (physio, acupuncture) resulting in zero progress I was incredibly frustrated and getting nowhere. Both Toby & Charlie at the Featherston St Pain Clinic have been amazing. I am now off all pain medication and I'm at the tail end of my treatment. They were able to provide a level of service that no other practitioner has. Toby is practically Jesus in my mind.

I went to see Toby on the advice of my boyfriend when I experienced extreme pain in my shoulder and neck. After one session, the pain was gone. I continued to work with Toby on a plan, which included cupping and exercises to strengthen the area, I no longer have issues with my neck and shoulder. When I developed pain in my knee and hip post ankle surgery, it was back to Toby. We are currently working through a plan which has included new orthotics (which have been a major help) and shockwave sessions, my rehab is getting back on track. Would highly recommend!

Excellent clinic. I came into the clinic not knowing what scar tissue was or that l had it in both my flat feet, especially the problematic more flat one. Meeting Charlie was eye opening to that I didn't have a spur growth, or out of shape foot bone, but had me finding out why I had the scar tissue (no proper support i.e. going without more rigid custom orthotics in shoes for 45,000 steps a week) and that she could treat it on the spot with a shockwave treatment machine, plus realising that my flexible orthotics weren't cutting the mustard. ONE visit 10 MINUTES with the machine destroyed a visible protrusion of the scar tissue on the feet. A second visit to Toby to assess my gait revealed rigid but not too rigid orthotics (custom created from the gait analysis) is the way forward. More sessions for shockwave therapy are offered plus exercise recommendation to help increase glute muscle. All this will help bring more balance (in all senses) & content to my body. Bang for the buck.

I don't know what I would do without these guys. Toby saved my neck, my knees, and my mental health along with it. I was barely able to turn my head when I first went to Toby - in a lot of pain. In a matter of weeks I was getting my range of motion back. But the coolest thing about these guys is they actually want to get to the root cause of the issues. I've been coming to the crew at the Clinic since late May to see if they had any thoughts on, and would be able to do anything about the Chronic Pain and illness I've been suffering from for the past 3, almost 4 years. Oh my! No other doctor, or physio, or any professionals can beat Toby! He is like a magician! Whatever pain you are experiencing (I had a locked wrist and locked neck, and pretty much immobile!) after trialing different treatments including the physio (and nothing were healing after months), I decided to go and see Toby. I have had ongoing pain in my leg and hip for a year. I was at a loss of what to do and then saw Toby. I was unsure of what type of treatment was available at the clinic, but I felt after my initial appointment that Toby understood what was happening with my body and how to treat it. Not long after starting with Toby, my whānau had two significant trauma events. I wasn't sure how I would cope, if I would continue with treatment and what my future would look like. Wonderful customer service. I made a request 7.30 Monday morning. Toby rung me 15 minutes later. I was in Wellington 1 day and I was fitted in for 2 separate appointments. First one treatment with sonic waves (which worked) and later a foot scan to future proof the treatment. I felt listened to and well looked after.

An outfit better then this team does not exist in the Wellington region. Before them, I have tried 6 different clinics, never quite coming right with existing injuries, mainly from sport when younger. Came to Featherston St Pain Clinic on the recommendation of a friend after suffering from an ankle injury that wasn't healing properly. I had been to physios, surgeons, my GP etc and all told me just to be patient. Toby and the team had a different view and knew that I had a build up of scar tissue that was causing issues. They set to work on getting me not just back to full health, but with exercises, acupuncture, cupping, massage, orthotics and more that mean hopefully fewer injuries in the future. The relief from pain wasn't instant, it did take work and perseverance, but now my ankle is better than before!

I was resigned to the fact that my back niggle from a couple of old sports injuries was something I'd have to live with and something that would impact me being able to give it 100% when exercising (is this just getting old?) I am in my late 50's and suffered big toe, feet, knee, back, shoulder and neck pain for 20+ years. I am now after regular treatments, for the first time in years, pain free. I can now enjoy my walking without pain in my toes. I had thought for years that my big toes were fused from arthritis but Toby has freed up scar tissue and now I can bend my toes and walk normally without pain. Coming to see Toby changed my life. After surgery, and two years of seeing multiple physios I was told, at 27 years old, there was nothing more that could be done for the pain in my hip and that it was just something I would just have to live with. Pain killers to take the edge off for the rest of my life. I wasn’t sleeping, I had no energy and couldn’t sit or stand still for more than 10 mins without the pain getting too intense.
