Had my cat and dog booked in over xmas break , they don't usually go into cattery /kennels so I was a bit anxious how they would go. When I picked them up I was so pleased to see that they had obviously been well cared for. Will be going back again .

Staff were friendly and the cattery was good value. However, we gave feeding instructions as we provided our cat's own food, but he was only fed the cattery biscuits.

Picked up Stan today, he had been given a bath as requested, a happy dog, Thank you, would recommend for your fur babies

My doggy Patch loves this place. We have been going for almost a year. The people are always friendly and welcoming. They always take the best of care of your dog(s) as if they were their own. They learn their names and interact with them. They also notice dog personalities and make sure your dog only plays with dogs they get along with. Mine for example likes to play a little rough and so gets to tire out all the massive dogs. Patch will literally sit and cry at my door if he doesn't go to daycare. I recommend Alamedas to anyone i ever meet asking about day care or kennels/cattery.

Our two pugs Archie,Winnie and our cat stayed here for a week. Service was very good and new management are very friendly! All 3 animals well taken care of. Would highly recommend using these guys!

My dog is always well looked after here, despite plenty of other options closer to my house I prefer to have her stay here. Every time we drive past Alameda Kennels she starts wagging her tail out of excitement, highly recommend

My dog Monty and Cat Mittens have had many holidays at Alameda. They are well looked after the staff are great and Ray gives feedback on my pets. A great place clean and tidy I leave my pets there with no concerns. They always come back to me happy healthy and clean.

I've been taking my elderly dog here since the start of the year. He was lovely and anxious about being at home alone while I was working. He is very relaxed when I collect him and they have been wonderful about taking care of him. It was best to see him wagging his tail when we arrived and he spotted the other dogs already there. More than happy with the service and care of the team.

Nice and close and miss my cat but he is in good hand 🤞 with people that care for him.

The team at Alameda are great! My dog Mindy goes in for day care and has also stayed when we've been on holidays. She is always well looked after and I don't need to worry about her being there. You can see how much the staff love the dogs and do a great job :)

This place was awesome for our trio of dogs. Able to house them together and were well looked after. Love the themes and areas within the kennels and staff were super friendly and clearly animal lovers. Thanks for taking such great care of our dogs. 😁

Stella 1 goes to Alameda 2 days a week for day care and for longer when we go on holiday. She comes home tired which is what I want and is always excited to get there. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I am confident that they have all the dogs best interests at heart.

I started taking my rotti puppy, Odin, to Alameda from about 3 months old and he absolutely loves it there! He stays there during the day, 5 days a week and every morning he’s always excited to go there! I also love Alameda because they treat Odin so well and I know I can trust them 100% to look after him! They make me and Odin feel so welcome every time we go there, the staff are so friendly and kind and show lots of love towards Odin which makes me feel very lucky!! Also they are the cheapest daycare in town, I wouldn’t take him anywhere else!

I put my collie in these kennels when the family is on holiday. Gizmo gets anxious sometimes and can't leave him but does not care when I leave him at alameda seems to love it here plenty of other dogs to play with. Great staff and clean environment I highly recommend.

Alameda is amazing! I drop Douglas off most mornings on my way to work and pick him up on the way home- an awesome arrangement. He is a very active Beardie and enjoys heaps of playing and interaction with all the other dogs. I have been going to Alameda for over 2 years now and am totally confident that my boy is well looked after and loved. Viv and Ray and the Team are always there when you need them and go above and beyond to care for all the dogs. Thanks again to you all!

we had our dog tiapo with Alameda for 6 weeks under the new management. whilst he was there my daughter popped in to take him out. she spoke highly how they looked after him, and spent time playing with him. on pick up we found him in good shape and in a good mood. and no signs of stress of being away from his home environment. I have no hesitation using this kennel again, and highly recommend them.

Our puppy Roxy goes to daycare at Alameda 3x a week and she loves it. The owners and staff are wonderful and know Roxy well now, am often shown videos of her playing with the other dogs throughout the day when I arrive to pick her up. The place is very clean and affordable. The cattery is great too, heated blankets and a lovely outlook for the cats. Would highly recommend and is a great asset to the east side of Christchurch.

My dog absolutely loves going to Alameda for the day (you can just tell by how excited he gets when I drop him off). The staff are lovely and the facilities are great! It's so reasonably priced as well. I recommend it to everyone!

Alameda is awesome! my dog has been going there for a few years now and he absolutely loves it there. The facilities are clean and the staff are great with dogs, the genuinely love the animals that board there - my dog loves the cuddles! thanks for doing such a great job guys

Booked in our wee dog for three weeks. They did an amazing job of looking after him even grooming him when required. The staff are always friendly, helpful and normally always busy cleaning and preparing meals for the animals.

I highly recommend Alameda’s daycare and boarding services. Working in the veterinary industry and having worked in kennels and catteries before, I’m aware of the vast difference in standard of care between facilities and the actual work that goes on behind the scenes. The team at Alameda provide a great standard of care, cleanliness and husbandry knowledge. They also go out of their way to interact and become familiar with the pets in their care.

They look after Izzie really well. She is always keen to go. Very reliable place.

We have a special needs doggie called Stella, she has diabetes, losing her sight and arthritis in her hips. She gets anxious being away from us and we are typical anxious fur baby parents. Stella has stayed a few times and gets special care, there are different ‘runs’ for different personalities and Stella struggles with the young fit playful pups surprising her now but still loves being with other dogs, she had the best stay last visit with a perfect playgroup. We would not be able to visit our daughter in Aussie without the support and care we get from Alameda for Stella. Viv, Ray and the doggie Crew will deliver what you need for your fur baby, trusted! Just talk to the team and know you leave your precious family member in good hands. Very highly recommended.

I have been taking my golden Labrador Taffy to Alameda for 2 years now. I have never had a problem with the service. They are caring and concerned about the dogs in their care. My taffy got injured accidently and they went halves in the vet bill, you can't get better than that. Thank you Viv and Ray and Cazzy and the staff you are great. Mark

My boy Jay loves coming here he is excited to see the team they love him back. The staff are so amazing. The property is so clean and tidy . I would recommend any dog to come and stay for the day or overnight I love this place . You can walk in anytime and see your dog you carnt do this at other places Thank you so much for loving my boy Jay xx

Brilliant place to leave your loved ones. They won't miss you a bit. In fact they may prefer going home with the owners lol. I can't recommend them highly enough. Great stuff guys keep up the good work xxx

We have used Alameda for years. A good bunch of people. Our dog Elvis had some health issues on his last visit and he was looked after brilliantly.

I would thoroughly recommend these fabulous owners to look after any of your cats or dogs. They are meticulous in detecting any sickness in any dog and are quick to isolate, following strict protocols. As a nurse, the play areas are clean and scrubbed with bleach after playtimes together with other dogs. They are careful to watch interaction between dogs to establish the best play pals. I could not do without this fabulous team of lovely kind people to help look after my dogs boredom during the day, whilst I either work or try to sleep after a night shift. Thankyou Alameda! You have saved my sanity!!

#RayBragg, Sorry to hear how you feel. On our website under chargers it says: Charges apply from the first day your pet arrives. If they are collected in the morning there is no charge for that day. An afternoon pick up is counted as another day. As your pet had been picked up in the afternoon this is why you were charged for 4 days. Pets are rotated into big dog runs for exercise and all animals have water available all the time. Open inspections any time in open hours.

My dog Floki spent the last month there while I was travelling for holidays and I could see in Floki's face that he loved this place. He had so much fun. Because of that Floki will go for Alameda once a week for the doggy daycare.

We have taken Bos to Alameda for over a year now. He is always happy to go and the friendly staff make us feel that he is well taken care of. Would recommend Alameda to anyone wanting good care for their treasured pooch 👍

My Dog Titan goes to doggy daycare here most week days all the staff are really nice and take good care of all the dogs not to mention an affordable price, saves them from being bored or lonely getting in to mischief or escaping from home,this tires him out he comes home has his tea and is zonked out after a hard day !! Always friendly greeting our dog by name. He's pulling to get out of the car when we turn up. Lovely clean facilities with numerous different areas to suit all different sizes of pets

Doggo is always taken good care of, comes back happy as Larry. Gets bust over Xmas/ Easter just book in advance

Was away for 4 days over Easter break. They were quick to respond with space. Email response for a first time cattery user was a big vague, I had to ask specific questions. Perhaps an email with all the information would help new people/ users? I returned to a happy cat. No problems. I even phoned while I was away to speak to someone to see how my baby was doing. Will use them again.

Our wee dog stays here fairly frequently and always returns happy and in good shape. Good quality food and easy going service.

I take my dog there two days a week he loves it and is so tied when he gets hm so he's been running around all day. We also put him in when we go away ova Xmas. Thay look after him really well thanks guys.

We have left our girl here both short and long term and have been more than happy with the service. Walks and grooming are also a bonus

Hard working team. The best thing is you don't have book a visit. they are happy to show you around the whole place. Not many places that let you look around without a pre arranged time.

Our dog seemed well cared for and happy when we picked her up, and staff are very friendly. Bedding was all washed for us which was a bonus!

First time in kennels for my dog. She loved it. And I hot to relax on my holiday. Great staff and great place.

Have used this place for my two Corgis a number of times great friendly staff and the Corgis seem happy enough when they stay, which is a good sign.

A great place to take your woofa..i open the car door and Freki makes a b line for viv...pretty damn cool! Its like one big family....highly recommended
