Introducing Kerry Hurst’s Park Avon Kennels, Day care and Grooming on Marshlands Road. A friendly receptionist will inform you that the accommodation has underfloor heating which is very important in the winter. (Tick) Being shown around where the dogs are kept when we called in advanced. (Tick) She assures you they they put up loads of photos on Facebook every day. (Tick) Checking the Facebook page you will see hundreds of photos of the facilities. (Tick) Having reasonable expectations that they're looking after your dog instead of replying to all the pedantic emails they're getting. (Tick to myself) Scanning the photos during the week of your dog’s stays you find photos for all them. She's clearly having a ball. (Tick) At pick-up time our dog wont even look at you because she wants to go back to Kerry. (Tick) At home your dog comes back as healthy as she was because you look after your dog and wouldnt send her there when shes sick. (Another tick to myself) Stars for this establishment - FIVE

Love this place and so does my dog. Wouldn't have him anywhere else. Great outdoor play areas and Kerry and the team take amazing care of the dogs. Always clean, never smells. Great price too. Love the regular photo updates too.

Bella & Archer love Parkavon, the photo updates from the team on FB are great we can tell they are having the best sleepover’s with their new friends. Kerry and the team are super responsive with emails, it makes going away without the kids a breeze... I just hope they want to come home 🤣

Great place to take dogs of all shapes and sizes Staff are awesome to deal with, and nothing is ever an issue My greyhound is more excited to come here than coming home!

Best doggy daycare in Christchurch. The staff are lovely and they genuinely care so much about the dogs.

Always great with our dog and cat. Animals are well looked after. A shame the cattery is closing although understand the commercial decision.

We put our dog Harvey in here for the first time and man these guys are awesome. The care they take with the dogs amazing 👏

My pooch has been going to daycare at Park Avon generally 3 times a week for 3 years and regularly boards there. The friendly, professional staff always make Murphy’s stay fun. He gets excited as we approach the entrance and races in. Dogs are very intuitive and he wouldn’t go if it wasn’t his happy place. Care is taken to ensure the dogs are well cared for and loved. Thank you Kerry and your amazing team for providing a doggy haven for man& woman’s best friend.

Since Kerry took over these kennels, I’m only too happy to have my precious fur babies in these facilities, for both boarding and day care. Kerry is continually making positive changes to the facilities and the amount of exercise areas is fantastic, all dogs being catered for. The staff are amazing and I love how passionate they are for animals. I can leave my fur babies there and not worry about them, as I know they will be well looked after, and will be enjoying themselves!

My dogs looked pretty handsome after their groom. One of the best groomers they have been to. I have a very nervous border collie that won't let me near him with a brush. They said he was fine and even let the groomer trim his feet and nails. Job well done. I'll be back

I would highly recommend Parkavon to any dog owner seeking daycare or boarding facilities for their fur baby. Staff are absolutely amazing and Kerry only has the dogs best interest at heart and always goes above and beyond for his dogs. He treats them all like they are his own. My boy attends daycare there every day, Monday to Friday and is always soooo excited to get to his daycare. I know Parkavon will grow from strength to strength because of Kerry's hard work and dedication!!!

My dogs love coming to daycare and boarding at Park Avon! It is a fabulous facility, lots of outdoor play areas and the staff are amazing. The cattery is great too - so good to have all the fur babies at one place.

I take my dog weekly to day care. Kerry and the team are awesome. They care about each individual dog. Finn comes home happy and tired. His behaviour with other dogs when out has improved since going to day care. Highly recommend

Our dog Ziggy has been doing to doggy day care at Parkavon for the last year. She is very well looked after and is always so excited to arrive for the day. The team are friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Awesome place and staff. We use their doggy daycare and both dogs are so excited when they arrive. They look after my 12ye old blind/almost deaf dog really well. Highly recommend

We take our dog ari here 5 days a week and every day she is excited to get ther in the morning to see her friends and amazing staff. we could not be happier with our choice with parkavon they go above and beyond. we also love the great pictures of the dogs they put up to show you the fun they have everyday. Thank you for taking such great care of our pup

My kelpie and I are so thankful to have found Kerry and the team at Parkavon. Gigi is so happy to head to daycare and goes twice a week. She loves to be able to run around and free to hang and talk to her friends during the days I am at work. She comes home tired and happy. She loves all of the team who are friendly, helpful and flexible. I also have utilised the kennels in many occasions and have a stress free holiday knowing my dog is cared for so well and has a connection with all the staff. The fact that she can’t wait to get out of the car and run out in the morning is proof of that. The photos on Facebook also show me that Gigi has the best time while at day care and I love the holiday themed photos also, so thoughtful to do this for us proud parents. Great advice also given for those that are still learning about their breed of dog etc. Would absolutely recommend this as an awesome place for your fur babies! #don’tbeagail

Our Cocker Spaniel, Ollie has been going to Parkavon a few times a week over the last year for doggy daycare and absolutely loves it. Great spot for dogs to run off all their energy and to socialise with other dogs. Kerry, Georgia and the team do a fantastic job of entertaining them, helping with training and we love getting the regular facebook photos to see what they have been up to. Keep up the awesome work!

Friendly staff and very affordable daily rates! My dog literally pulls me through the doors. They're also very knowledgeable, and as a new dog owner they have helped me multiple times with any questions I have had. 5 Stars!

I absolutely love sending my two labradors and our mix breed here ♡ fantastic and caring staff who have the biggest passion for animals. Cheaper than any other day cares and most accommodating at that. Love the photo updates! 😍

Absolutely love how my dog Meg is always greeted personally from one of the fantastic team Kerry has, she is always happy to arrive and when I pick her up she is still very happy and tired, I love how the team also take pictures of our fur babies, and get into the holiday spirit with photo shoots, I have never had an issueand I always recommend Park Avon to any of my friends, having a professional dog behaviourist always available to answer any of the questions i have is also fantastic, hands down best place I know in CHCH Don't be a Gail

Kerry has made so many positive changes, all for the dogs and not the business. Love how all the trainers/carers there look after the dogs like they are their own.

We love that the staff love our fur babies as much as we do. This is a rare find and we always leave knowing our fur babies are in great hands. They are professional and take all the anxiety away for us when we head off out of town for work or holidays.

Bentley has been going to doggy daycare for two weeks now. He is so happy to go and see the ladys and his buddies. i wouldnt take my dog anywhere else the most friendly staff and they are all just so amazing with my boy . :)
