H.We heard about Waglands from through a friend - their recommendation was glowing. Now I can't imagine sending my dog to daycare or the kennels anywhere else. The staff are dedicated and super responsive, and our dog always has the most fun when she visits. Thank you for taking care of our fur baby and for always being such a pleasure to engage with.
C.Always fabulous with our boy, from his regular day care days to boarding they excel! He comes home happy and sated. Always excited in the car when he knows he's off to Waglands, can't argue with that ;)
N.We've lived in 5 countries over the last few years and this is the best Doggie Daycare we've ever been to. The location is out of this world and feels like you're going to a resort - I just wish they let me stay there all day and play with the puppies :) Seriously a cool place for our four legged best friends. We take Belfy (our Samoyed boy) there on Fridays and even recently had him stay there for 4 days. Belfy didn't want to come home after that LOL he had too much fun. Their boarding suites are awesome so totally recommend to upgrade your pup to stay there. They also have over 20 playgrounds and an amazing training program (The trainer's name is Jan; she's awesome) and I couldn't tell you enough good things about the staff. They're the best; even with the c_vid shenanigans they always have a smile on their face (yes you can see the smile underneath theit masks). Don't hesitate to visit; I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
M.We have been taking dogs to Waglands for over 8 years. In that time they have done an amazing job looking after them. We know when we pick them up they will be happy and healthy and ready to go home. The team there are always friendly and accommodating and are ready to adjust when plans change. I highly reccommend them.
A.We love Waglands and so does Toby! Every time we drop him off for daycare or boarding he is so excited! The Waglands staff are so kind and accommodating, we really feel Toby is in safe and loving hands there
A.Wilson loves going to Waglands. He gets lots of cuddles and socialising with other dogs like him: small and getting a little elderly. Our dogs have been going there since Ben and Arleen began and we can't fault the service and care given the animals. Every year they get even better!
E.Waglands is just awesome. All the team there are so welcoming and with such great facilities they make it feel like my dogs home from home. My 2 dogs have been to other facilities but I used to struggle getting them out of the car and they seemed very reticent to go and I felt guilty leaving them. At Waglands it is a totally different experience. They both get really excited when they realise where we are going and sometimes they are so happy to be there I don't even get a goodbye! It is always very reassuring to know they are in safe hands. We even receive report cards during their stay about how they are doing which is a wonderful personal touch which just about sums up our Waglands experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone hoping for an enriching and unbeatable experience for their dogs.
F.We emailed Waglands after hours when we had a last minute family emergency and wanted to kennel our dog the next day. Within a couple of hours I had a text message and an email back. Drop off was easy, their van is amazing, too. Our pup had a bath whilst there and came back the cleanest he’s ever been, shedding a lot less too. Most importantly, we got a report card about how he’d been, and he came back with a really good energy about him, the kind he has when he’s had a good time playing at his regular doggy day care, so we knew he’d enjoyed it. Waglands cost a little more than some kennels but are so worth it.
P.A bit of a ( beautiful) drive to the back side of Maungaraki. Collection stops for daycare to make it easier for morning traffic. Liveley setup and play areas to keep your furries happy and active during the say.
T.Waglands are absolutely brilliant at what they do. My dog loves it there, and always comes home well looked after and relaxed. Their website is great, and everything is very organised. The staff are very friendly, and I always feel comfortable leaving my dog there, knowing he will be well looked after by professionals. Best dog holiday retreat in New Zealand by far (and my dog has been to quite a few). We are lucky to have them in Wellington. Thank you so much for providing your excellent service.
J.Waglands is more than a kennel, it’s a dog hotel. The team understands your pooch is one of your children and are caring and thoughtful. We feel really confident leaving our dog and we can see he returns home happy and relaxed. There’s plenty of outdoor space and one to one time. The Waglands Team are gorgeous people who are professional and caring. We readily recommend Waglands and won’t be putting our furry boy anywhere else!
M.We have entrusted Ben and the Waglands team to look after our active dog Pip over the last five years. They consistently seem to provide a great experience for her and she is always keen to get out of the car for her next stay there! Also she also settles back into home life again very quickly, even if we have been away a few weeks. The service provided by the entire team is top notch, with friendly, obliging and professional staff. We highly recommend Waglands! There is also a great retail area there and we buy our K9 natural dog food from them too.
D.What I think of a boarding kennel is interesting but irrelevant. What my dog thinks however, matters a lot. And Buster thinks Waglands is fabulous. He is excited when we arrive and has a great time. He’s well cared for and comes back healthy and clean. Great staff and great place.
C.We left Hazel (our shy, anxious 5-year-old cavoodle) at Waglands at short notice for her first ever kennel stay as we needed to attend a funeral. We were very worried about how she'd cope, but to our amazement, she walked confidently off with Mandy without a backward glance. When we came to pick her up, she looked extremely happy and healthy, and all her allergies had settled too. One of the staff spent time with her to help her settle on her first night, which we really appreciated. She also made friends with dogs of similar temperament. The facilities are lovely, with lots of separate grassed areas for dogs of different sizes and temperament to exercise in. The staff are very helpful and clearly understand dogs (and their owners) very well. Will definitely take Hazel back to Waglands if we need to use kennels again.
A.I looked at all options in the Lower Hutt and Wellington area and I am so happy that I chose Waglands. The staff and management are incredibly caring and totally focused on giving your dog the best care. When you dog starts howling with joy on approach you know you have hit the jackpot!
V.Our Poppy spent four nights at Waglands and had an amazing holiday! She is 11 months old and takes a bit of time to settle down in new environments. Poppy becomes quiet and gentle at this stage and needs her time. This was very well understood by the Waglands staff and Poppy tuned in to the environment at her own pace whilst feeling secure and having a good time with other guests of her nature. Poppy returned home happy and her usual self. Thank you Waglands it feels so good to know that our pets are well looked after when they are in your care. Waglands will always be our first choice for Poppy :).
C.Both my dog, Aggie and I love Waglands. They really care for the dogs, all of the staff are dog people! Little touches like a report card, where they talk about the dogs yours has been playing with, really makes you feel like they are being well looked after. I feel happy to go away and leave Aggie and trust that Waglands will give her the best holiday as well!! They feed all the dogs top quality food and you can choose options like a wash before pick up, they just go the extra mile! Highly recommend (we even drive all the way from Brooklyn to take Aggie here!!)
J.We took our Scottish Terrier puppy Geordie to Waglands and she had the best time! The Team at Waglands are fantastic and run a really great resort with loads of space and beautiful facilities. We also really appreciated getting a report card during Geordie's stay to let us know how her stay had gone. We will definitely be back.

N.Waglands took amazing care of our dog Marlow. Marlow had a leg amputated about 2 months prior to her stay, and also required medication. The staff at Waglands were so accommodating and we knew she would be in great hands while still adjusting to her new lifestyle! Excellent, we will be back.
J.We were extremely impressed with Waglands when we left our dog with them for a week or so! The staff was incredibly friendly and were very good at easing Baxter into their environment as he's not usually too good with new people. The emails and updates we received while we were away were a nice touch and gave us peace of mind that our dog was in really good hands. We will definitely be using them again in the future!
T.Waglands is a quiet boarding house set up atop a lush wellington hillside overlooking the water, wouldn't mind staying there myself ;) My dog loved the staff and was happy and well when I picked her up. The staff were kind, calm and helpful in person and communication through the online system was clear and quick. A friend of mine recommend I book my dog in here and after a good experience I can recommend it to any other dog owner as well.
N.I can highly recommend the team at Waglands. All of the staff are so caring and I feel very comfortable leaving my little dog with them. The facilities are great, clean and spacious, I appreciate that staff are quick to recognise and deal with any doggy issues eg when my little dog required an unexpected visit to the vet while on her holiday there. I was kept informed of what was happening by the staff. I also have my dog groomed at Waglands and I know she is given special care and treatment on those days and always comes home looking and smelling gorgeous. I will miss having somewhere so safe and caring to take her when I move to another city soon.
R.Waglands is a wonderful kennels. We went to South America for 2 months and boarded our miniature schnauzer Sergio at Waglands. It was a long time to leave him, and although he has a great nature he is very attached to my husband and spoiled with affection. We pretty much wouldn't have left him anywhere else, but we really trusted the Waglands team. It was 100% the right call, he came back happy and better behaved. Within 24 hours he had readjusted to being with us. 10/10. Also their online system is so fab, makes life easy.
P.Found Waglands in the last minute before my holiday and decided to use their boarding service after seeing Puck's big smiles in the video diary from his day care trial. Amazed by their contactless and hassle free online booking system, very responsive and accommodating staff and a long list of additional services available to create a tailored holiday experience for Puck. Highly recommended!
D.You know when you go away on holiday and can't take your pets with you... so you need someone to look after them but your always slightly worried that no one can take care of them as well as you can... well be rest assured, the Waglands team can!!!
Our two pugs love the Waglands experience and they always come home with big smiles on their faces and smelling fresh and clean from a bath before we pick them up.
Every part of the experience at Waglands is great. As hard as it is to leave your pets behind, you can feel confident that they're in good hands.

C.Having experienced stays in other kennels over her lifetime, Ginger returns to us decidedly happier and healthier from Waglands than any previous stays. Although she is full of kisses and excited to see us, she is not as clingy and anxious when we leave her for short periods after we return from work travel. We appreciate that the Waglands team checks on her health and cares enough to provide us with feedback. It is reassuring to know that the Waglands team cares for her so well while we are away!
V.We were very impressed with Waglands and were confident with the staff and the care they provide.
This was Alaska’s first visit. So I took advantage of the pre-tour with Ben. I was amazed that everything has been thought out and geared towards your pets routine and their needs. So everything was taken care of and planned for in advance eg, facilities, food, treats, grooming etc. So I went away full of confidence that Alaska would be beautifully cared for and have a holiday with some new dog pals. Even the drive up to Waglands is picturesque.
We missed Alaska when we were away. for three nights. But that is understandable. But she looked amazing when I picked her up. I took advantage of the grooming service and Alaska was beautifully groomed when I picked her up. She still looks amazing.
The communication was outstanding. Our family enjoyed getting a report update about how Alaska was doing.
We highly recommend using Waglands and will definitely be bringing Alaska back when we need to go away again. Thanks so much to Ben, Arlene and the whole wonderful Waglands team. We really appreciate your support, passion and kindness you give to our pet, Alaska and others.
d.Molly has had several holidays at Waglands and I have been extremely happy with the care she has received during her stay. The staff are lovely and genuinely care about the dogs. She always comes home looking clean and smelling nice, not that kennel smell you get from some places and she’s always happily exhausted from the fun she’s had 😊🐾🐶

I.Our two dogs, Poppy and Oscar, have just had another week at Waglands and have come back as happy and well conditioned as every other stay.
We left them for more than 3 weeks a few months ago and didn't need to worry about them as we knew from previous stays they were in good hands and well cared for.

M.My little girl Meg spent 5 nights at Waglands over last weekend. It had been a really busy time for us all prior to her stay and I fell ill and was taken off to hospital in the early hours of the night before. I was really concerned that I had to get someone else to drop her off and wasn't sure how she would be but my fears were short lived. The report back I got and her reaction to the staff when I went to get her confirmed for me that she was truly happy and content. I would send her for a holiday to Waglands anytime. So impressed!

Sent our girl there for a spa day. She came home looking lovely. As usual more excited to see the staff at waglands than she is when dad gets home. Best team around without a doubt.
C.A wonderful kennels and caring team, who looked after Rigo, our energetic Tibetan terrier for a month. I've just picked him up, he's had a great stay and is looking amazing, in great condition and health. Lots of extras you can book too, like treats and walks, which he loved during his 4-week staycation.
J.Waglands are amazing. They always look after our boy Porter so well, and are genuinely interested in making sure he's happy when he goes on holiday with them. Porter gets so excited when we're on the road up to Waglands that he starts whistling and jumping around the car once he realises where he's going! I love that I can leave him with people that care for him like he's their own, and know that he's getting all the attention and playtime that he'd get with us. I'd highly recommend Waglands for anyone looking for the best holiday spot for their furbabies!

G.I'm a 6 year old cute, but wilful Border Terrier. I am ALWAYS loving my time at my spa resort at Waglands, and I know they are secretly loving me (of course its not PC to have favourites, but I'm thinking I'm right up there). Curious Cynthia, Big Ben and Awesome Arlene really treat me like a prince - if only my home bound humans could be re-trained! s.When we dropped our old girl off she was super scared but when we picked her up she was so happy, loved all the staff and seemed really at home. The staff responsed very quickly to my emails and kept me up to date. They put her with a dog that was of similar size and temperment. 100% will book again.

Im always concerned that he will fret a lot with the separation but I feel the staff at Waglands work very hard to help deal with the absence of family. He got lots of good attention. A.This place is great. They go to a lot of trouble to make sure your dog has friends to play with that are a perfect fit. My dog came home happy and healthy - and gave me the impression that she probably would have been very happy to stay a bit longer!
S.My three dogs are always excited for their stays at Waglands. It is such a fantastic retreat for dogs with lots of exercise areas and my boys just love the family bedrooms they stay in while they're there as they get to stay together.
