S.Nick’s expertise was great for paralleling puppy school. So relieved that he came to our house, as he was able to provide advice based on our personal set up and helped to correct things early on (eg keeping pup from doing stairs, sleeping arrangements, interacting with children etc). Nick was a great balance of relaxed and knowledgeable, our dog loved his visits and he ended up winning his obedience training at puppy school. Thanks, Nick, for helping us raise a fantastic addition to our family!
M.Nick worked with us when we brought a new puppy into our home. Poppy learnt commands really fast and we learnt really good techniques introducing her to our elderly dog and 2 indoor cats. Nick has a real gift with animals and they all loved his visits. One on one worked really well for us, especially our teenager who gained a huge amount of confidence with puppy. Nick also encouraged us to go to Puppy School so that Poppy would be well socialised with other puppies. She smashed her obedience competition on the last day.
I would highly recommend Nick for anyone wanting good solid training. I will use Nick in the future.

I was having major issues walking my 10 month old rescue heading dog, Juno. I felt like I had tried everything. She was a good dog. She was excellent at picking up all things with solid commands, but on lead she pulled like a freight train and I dreaded walking her.
I flicked Nick an email and he called me right away and recommended exactly what I needed to solve the issue. Over a month down the track and Juno is an absolute dream to walk. So stoked that I can enjoy spending more time with my best friend.
O.Absolute top knotch service from Nick, I believe he is unparalleled in the dog training scene. We gained so much vital knowledge from our puppy sessions with him, learning so many important aspects to raising a well rounded puppy. A+, highly recommend to anyone with a new pup :-)
L.Highly recommend Nick for any dog or puppy training services. He has been an immense help with our leash reactive dog. We have engaged other behaviorists for the same issue, but it felt like they were after a ‘good enough’ approach rather than working towards a more settled dog around others - which is what Nick does.
Nick is great at what he does and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
B.Nick from Dogs 4 Life set us up on the right path on how to bring up and train our very happy and chilled out little boy. Every time Nick arrived our Schnauzer was super excited to interact with him and eager to please. We're so happy that we had a specialist dog behavioralist available to point us in the right direction... so of course we can highly recommend him.
A.Our husband and I got in touch with Nick to help us iron out some typical albeit annoying behaviours in our 12 week old Puppy Betty who is a heading dog x bearded Collie. Nick gave us the tools within just the first session to start really connecting with Betty and getting her to listen to us.
He broke down the teachings over three sessions with two weeks apart in very easy to learn chunks that we were immediately able to implement and see results.
He not only got us on the right track with our training of Betty, he was also a wealth of information about dogs in general and was happy to answer any random question we came up with!
Nick is very passionate about dogs and Betty responded to him and liked him right away as did we! Nick takes a no nonsense, simple approach that works, focusing on positive reinforcement and setting your dog up to succeed.
I think Nick has done amazing work with us and Betty and I think his approach really works. Highly recommend!
m.We took our 4 year old Labradoodle to Nick after he was experiencing some anxiety and also getting mouthy with visitors. Nick was fantastic! He was calm, explained everything to us and also followed up with some written notes on each session so we had a reference of everything we'd talked about.
I would highly recommend Nick as a trainer. Our Labradoodle has been much calmer, he's less anxious and is able to follow commands much better. I'm not sure what we'd have done if we hadn't found Nick online and been able to get help from him?
Everything Nick observed with Archie as well as with us made sense after he'd explained it. Things we thought were helping were actually making things worse and with Nick's guidance and support, we were able to make the changes we needed.
Thank you so much for all the help, the training (of both Archie and us!) and for the support to make the changes needed. We have a much happier and healthier dog now.
A.We engaged Nick to teach us the use of "clicker" training for our two Heading dogs. His clear instruction has given us a good basic grounding in directing our dogs using this method. We have had a great response from Jack & Jimmy. Happy dogs, happy owners.

My boy is a Border Collie almost 3 years old, who was having some issues with reactivity to things such as cars, trucks, scooters, skate boards and would lunge and react to them when out on the lead.
Nick taught me to get to Loki to check in with me more and so make me more relevant than the stuff around him. We are now having really lovely afternoon walks (about 5kms) with a nice loose lead & not reacting to the wheels around us. I feel more confident and relaxed which I think the dog us picking up on.
Nick is friendly, easy to talk to and really good at explaining what needs to be done. My boy and I definately recommend Nick.
L.I asked Nick to recommend one of his leads for my gorgeous, but very strong German/Belgian shepherd. Nick delivered the settler lead to me and now I can walk my boy with no pulling. It’s been a complete game changer. Thank you Nick 😊
D.Gidday Nick. Today I finally got to use the new "no pulling" lead. Usually I take Maci to the huge local dog park here in Taupo and she can run free in the bush and open park. But with the weather closing in I took her around the neighborhood today. The lead worked BRILLIANTLY. First time in 3.5yrs she never pulled the lead. She is still getting used to the lead but its brilliant. Thanks for the product. Have a great week.
M.Nick taught my dog and I how to communicate. Fox who was a reactive dog, that showed aggression to other dogs, can now even ignore dogs that are growling and performing in front of her. She is happier and more confident and knows exactly what I expect of her. We are still learning together every day putting into practice the skills that Nick taught us.
M.Nick was such a star at helping me connect and train with my dog! I never once felt judged as a bad owner and felt really comfortable with his training techniques and advice. The results were incredible. My little one is so much more confident in himself and I'm more confident in him too! Thanks Nick!!
R.We have a new addition to our pack little Frankie girl and she was not good with people or other dogs when we brought her alarm bells were ringing she even had a piece of her ear missing. Still we took her in.. Nick helped us with these behaviors and I am pleased to say she is doing great.could not even get her down the driveway and now she's racing down there at walkies time.. Nick gave us knowledge to help her became a fantastic pack member..
