I had a few lessons with Mehran before my full license test to refresh myself on the road code and identify any bad habits I may have picked up. I was very nervous ahead of my first lesson but Mehran made me feel very relaxed, he let me know what I needed to improve on as well as what I was already doing well. Mehran suggested that I move my test forward a month which I did. Mehran made me feel very calm, he was super helpful and informative and he was very encouraging. I passed my full license test first time! I am very thankful to Mehran for his advice, guidance and support during my lessons. I highly recommend DTNZ! Thanks again Mehran, it was great to meet you and I appreciate your help and wise words!

Mehran is the best driving instructor that I have ever seen. My wife has been getting driving lessons for few years with other driving institutions but there was not much improvement in her driving. My wife’s friend recommended DTNZ and things have been dramatically improved since she started taking driving lessons. She got confidence to sit for the full driving test and passed the test. I can’t thank enough Mehran. He takes his job very seriously and very good in building confidence in his students which makes DTNZ very special.

It was great experience with DTNZ. Mehran was my driving tutor, he is very kind and calm. He gave me lots of feedback about my bad driving habbits so I can change it. I failed the first driving practical test in Feb 22, and after 6 sessions studied with Mehran I did the test today 19 April 22 and I got the Restricted Driving License. Mehran was an amazing instructor. He taught me everything I needed to know to pass my test and I did on the first time thanks to him. He was always cool, calm and collected and made lessons really comfortable. He was also very encouraging. I also sat a mock test with Syed two days before my test. Syed was also extremely helpful and pointed out small things I needed to work on in order to pass. I’m so happy and pleased that I was taught by Mehran.

I highly recommend DTNZ! My driving instructor was Syed. I had little to no driving experience within the last 4 years but thanks to the amazing tutoring of Syed, I passed my restricted driving test today. Best thing about him is that he will let you know when you've done something wrong (in order to correct it) and will praise you when you get things right (so you know it's correct) . Gary and Mehran at DTNZ are the most helpful and professional driving instructors. When I first started driving I would get panic attacks and feel very anxious on the road. Each lesson I had with DTNZ my confidence grew and within a couple of months I went from not wanting to drive at all, to passing my restricted test. Mehran helped tremendously to bring my loosely acquired driving experiences into a testable level very rapidly (within a week), and I had achieved a result beyond my expectation in my first attempt for the Restricted (only 1 critical error, but failed due to encountering a rare scenario on the road and I did not handle it well). After that I had a few more sessions with Mehran and can really feel the training is making my driving skills more and more solid. I passed the second attempt for the Restricted without any errors. The instructor I had (Mehran) was extremely patient and understanding, with great explanations as to how I could improve and little details that I was forgetting. Even with the few lessons I had, I was able to learn so much from him and apply it to my driving. This is my most recommended car driving school in Auckland. I had struggled with attention and nervousness problems with driving a car, particularly with imaginations of being in an accident. Those issues were handled well by the DTNZ trainers, especially Mehran, who have an outstanding communication and persuasion skills. The trainers sought to elevate my confidence and optimism and alleviate my nervousness during driving. Their approach are rather personalised according to your psychology. I passed my NZ FULL driving license today after having 20 classes with them (other driving schools just give up with me); they are committed to get me ready for driving safely and legally.

Mehran was an amazing teacher and has helped me so much! Today I passed my restricted test with no critical errors and I put that down to Mehran and his awesome teaching. I got in touch with DTNZ after failing my first restricted licence test and I needed another instructor who could help build my confidence and make me comfortable behind the wheel. Both Mehran and Syed helped me achieve this, I finally passed my test. I had a fantastic experience with them. They are both fabulous instructors, calm, friendly and patient. Their teaching style is so easy, especially reverse parallel parking (I had prior lessons with some other instructors and their steps were difficult to grasp). They teach in detail, give proper feedback and advice on how to improve to become a safe driver. They have got the best deal for 10 lessons. Mehran is a great tutor as he is my first instructor in NZ after taking few lessons from him , I passed my driving test in one attempt. Extremely professional , down to earth ,very friendly, n makes you feel very comfortable. Wasn’t sure how things would go as I was more or less starting from scratch, after 5 lessons I was already feeling really comfortable on the roads, after 7 I booked my test. I had a restricted test the next day, and Mehran went out of his way to accommodate me the night before the test and also 2 hours before the test. I’ve had another driving instructor before but it was clear that Mehran was the better choice. He had more knowledge of proper driving skills, and also knew what the testing officer needs to see from the driver to be able the pass. I passed my restricted test in 35 minutes and it was a breeze, all because of the knowledge, guidance, and confidence that Mehran provided. I have been trained by 2 other trainers before Syed. But Syed was the best for me. He is patient and very efficient in communication. He has always gone step by step. It was wonderful to have Mehran (from DTNZ) as an instructors. hiring process was quick with affective communication. Many people say that restricted practical test can be tricky and pass rate is only around 50%. Gary from DTNZ provided 5 lessons and I passed my restricted practical test smoothly straight away in the first round. I like the flexibility DTNZ provides in terms of pick up/drop off locations and time of lessons. I’ll certainly book more lessons with DTNZ before my full practical test and hopefully their defensive driving course will be effective and efficient. Thank you for your hard work Gary :)

I had a 2 sessions with Rick. I applied for converting my overseas license and he mentioned very useful tips, trained me in almost the same test route and I passed the test really easily. Every time you don’t what you’re doing he’ll use his iPad to draw diagrams to help you get the bigger picture. He also uses different acronyms and patterns to help you get orders correct which will definitely help you on the day. Seriously recommended 😊😊
