Really enjoyed this course! Feel way more confident in my driving as i am aware of my driving style. The course booklet and eDrive was really helpful and would definitely continue using it. The instructor was friendly and committed to helping us, thanks heaps!

… yes, the Defensive Driving Course was excellent and very effective for me. The course structure found me as a Responsible Driver blended with Overconfidence and Unawareness – goes perfectly with my personality and I was not surprised. However, I found important suggestions, tips and advices from the instructor to reduce the risks due to overconfidence and unawareness. I also received valuable suggestions for my full license practical test. The homework, particularly the online driving was fun. It was like playing the video game. The instructor was excellent in delivering the course and answering questions. Thanks AA !

Great course. I have been driving for just over 8 years now and there were new things that i was learning after each session. Well worth it if you want to become a better and safer driver.

This course helped me learn my personal driving style which is really helpful. I've also learned about recognising hazards and how to be a better driver. The tutor was really helpful and gave me some good tips on avoiding bad driving habits. I would definitely recommend this course to my friends.

The course was taught well, but I expected different content. Rather than discussing general issues like drink/drug driving and fatigue, I was expecting to discuss some New-Zealand specific issues such as dealing with our specific road and weather-related hazards. I did, however, learn some valuable hints and information about how to pass my driving test!

I really enjoyed the Defensive Driving course. Contained a lot of useful information and left me prepared and knowing what to expect when I sit my full. Would definitely suggest to anyone thinking of taking this course to go for it. Well worth the time and money

Great course, learnt lots about hazard identification out on the road and different driving styles people have. Both the course booklet and eDrive online software were very useful and I will definitely be referring to both again in the future. Feel much more confident about passing my full test now, cheers!

Really useful information. Made me aware of a lot of information that I didn't know about before and has definitely made me a much more informed and aware driver. The 2 hour sessions don't seem that long, which means I found it engaging and interesting. Also get 6 months taken off your restricted which is great. It's a great course.

This course has opened my eyes for the responsibilities of driving and also skills that I have to have on the road. Has helped me to identify the risks and hazards and how to manage them. I really enjoyed the time I spent on class and driving because Howard Watson the tutor is very calm, respectful and knowledgeable, special thanks to him. I have learned a lot and I will tell my friends that being part of this course, makes me feel a safer and confident driver. Thank you very much Carolina Feitosa

This was a really good, informative course. It helped to reiterate points I learnt growing up and added further to my understanding of becoming a better, more responsible driver. Learnt that young children haven't yet developed their peripheral vision and taught me just how much fuel and money can be saved through eco driving! Anyway, enjoyed and would recommend!

Defensive driving allowed me to become more aware of potential hazards and how to avoid them. What mostly struck me was the needs for the full license practical test. I would highly recommend this course to anybody who is unsure or not confident to sit their full test.

The Defensive Driving course gave me great information. It is amazingly helpful for people who have that little bit of driving anxiety. It gives you the knowledge needed to identify and react correctly to hazardous situations. The use of eDrive adds to the overll learning. AND it knocks those few months of your license (Bonus!). Only reason i haven't given it 5 stars is because it costs a fair bit. The tutors were fantastic and very helpful with lots of little tips and tricks to help us pass our tests. :)

This course is super helpful if you're looking to take that next step from being on your restricted license to your full. The drive at the end is especially great at bringing to light some small pointers to help you in the test and make you a better driver. Thanks AA :)

I would definitely recommend the AA Defensive Driving course to everybody. The course helped me to learn so much about driving for myself and others on the road too. It helped me think about focusing not only on my driving, but on my surroundings as well.

This course was absolutely amazing! I have learnt so much like finally learning my personal driving style (thank god I'm a responsible driver haha!), assessing hazards, thinking about the possible consequences, formulating a course of action and these are just few of the many things I have learnt! Really good course; useful information, well run by a friendly instructor and makes you more aware, not only of the driving environment but also your own driving behaviour.

The course was pretty damn good thanks! There were some surprising facts like the number of metres a person will cover between the times which they recognise a hazard and react to it! Some very valuable strategies to take away from the course. Thank you. :)

I would definitely recommend to all learner drivers to gain confidence on the road. Wellington is a scary place to learn how to drive, so it was very helpful to have a calm and informative tutor.

The defensive driving course was really helpful !, it informs you of the constant road hazards we come across when driving and allows you to reflect on your personal driving style ! I would definitely recommend taking this course !

Excellent content and really enjoyed the hands on book and e-driving. I wish I had done this course as a young person but its never too late to learn and brush up on skills.

This course makes you more aware of the dangers of driving but at the same time ensures you are prepared so you can minimise the risks. Definitely do the course with a friend or two!

My daughter Nadia was very happy with her lesson. She came home full of excitement and enthusiasm and I was relieved to have one less lesson to teach her myself
