m.Awesome place, only went to see pricing and they fit me in asap with a project car that's been sitting for months. He diagnosed the golf quick and was able to repair the issues the next day. Awesome pricing aswell. Definitely recommend.
B.Henry has done an excellent job replacing the ignition unit in my 2001 Porsche Boxster and cutting a spare key at a fraction of the cost quoted by the Porsche dealer. The work was carried out in a most professional manner at very reasonable cost. I was particularly impressed with Henry's diagnostic knowledge and his ability to clone my key which is no mean feat. I am relieved to find such a competent auto electrician in Christchurch. Thank you.
S.Bought a pair of car stereo speakers online on Monday night. They arrived in Tauranga on Wednesday. Certainly cant complain about that.
J.I went in and asked for a quote. I found the amount was fair. Booked it for the next day to have my reversing camera installed, got there and he asked that I give him a few hours. He was friendly and found the shop was tidy and organized. I will definitely be getting more work done by him. Thank you for providing a great service.

M.Came in to get my sound system completely redone in my car - they were very helpful and knowledgeable. They made time to fit me in around my work hours and have done a great job. Only thing I can say is they were very uncommitted about the pricing and 2 people told me 2 separate prices for the same work. Once it was done, they advised it would cost ... , but then when I went in to pay they had increased it. Work was done well though.

T.I've had two visits to Protect Auto - one about a year ago to have an alarm installed in my old 1964 VW Beetle - and the other a couple of weeks ago to have a fully replaced stereo system installed. Henry Stevenson did the work on both occasions. He was brilliant!! I know very little about auto electronics and Henry was knowledgeable and patient. He made good recommendations and explained the reasons behind them. I'm delighted with the result - the alarm is perfect and the new system with the sub-woofer behind the back seat, new speakers in the front and the quality of workmanship are spot on.
Henry was a great guy to do business with and I absolutely recommend that you see him and check out the quality of work he does.
He even fixed a brake light that was out!

M.Pretty impressed by the service here, rang around a few places to get an alarm installed that I'd brought off amazon, no one was interested in installing alarms they don't supply, Henry told me sure he'd done one before. Works perfect, gave me a good run down how to use the thing.
M.Came in at 10am on a Saturday to inquire about getting an alarm and immobiliser installed. I could tell they were busy but they got the job done that day, even had to do a little bit of overtime. The system works perfectly. Good job, would recommend.
J.Quality of work carried out was below average. I had to have a door motor installed as part of my immobiliser, they just routed the wires from behind my dash and out to the door card, looks messy not professional. Simple Connector to an under bonnet sensor wasn't even for the outdoor/under bonnet conditions, they just used a speaker style connector and didn't even heat shrink it or insulation tape it... overall not super happy for the money I paid.

M.I have had many jobs done here, and currently today having another done. Many sound systems fitted to different cars and things fixed and never had a problem. Im very fussy who i deal with when having work done on my private cars and i also know all my rights if something goes wrong, which as i can see some people on here dont know the law or have interpretations of their own. They are easy to talk to and give good advice. My advice is to talk with them before making stupid feedbacks. I expect my van today will be done to a high standard, as usual!

A.Visited Protect Auto recently to have my car lock changed as my spare key was lost , Henry was very professional and quick with responding to my calls in order to get me a quote, the job was done within our budget and timeframe that was suitable to my needs and the end result was excellent. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a car key replacement.
R.Did a superb job of modifying my old dash to allow for the installation of a double din CarPlay system - moved the Aircon controls to a new area in a way that looked like it came out of the factory and made it happen super fast on a Saturday afternoon.
