P. A.I LOVE BOARD GAMES BY THE BAY!! My partner accidentally attended one of the Auckland event 2 years ago and we have been devoted ever since. These are some pretty games I get to play on their events last year. BGBTB events are run by awesome volunteers, always on deck to help us play and i loved the pizza ordering system!! Thank you for tirelessly organising and running these events!!
J. S.These events are well-run and friendly to both casual/family gamers as well as more serious types who relish a whole weekend to tuck into games that can take hours to play. As a publisher of games, I enjoy attending to promote my titles, playtest ones under development, interract with other designers, and try games that are new to me, as well as introduce others to old favorites of mine. There are always lots of prizes to be won.
D. W.I have attended 2 BGBTB events now in Dunedin and Christchurch and I have found them to be really well organized with plenty of games to choose from to play and many opportunities to win prizes. The food and snacks are good and my enjoyment at both events has inspired me to volunteer as a helper the next time it comes to Dunedin.
T. Y.BGBTB run regular boardgaming events throughout the country - I've been to a couple in Hamilton. They're excellent value, very well run and a great opportunity to try out all those expensive games before you take the plunge and buy them. Fun, prizes and some good discounts to be scored.
