Y.Came across this hidden gem while searching for new places to explore in our beautiful country. What a beautiful setting. Staff were relaxed and friendly and lovely food. Nice selection if Mills Reef wines. Definitely recommend and we will be back on our next trip north. Thanks team

P.Spacious cafe with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Lake Karapiro. Tasty food. There is a charming cutlery drawerfrom a repurposed piano.
S.Based on some recommendations from locals we opted for a canyon tour on the Pokaiwhenua Stream instead of the more well known Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Easily a top 5 life experience (so far). I cannot recommend them enough!

k.I had an Absolutely Amazing experiance with Katie and her team at the Boatshed! Just had my wedding there in the weekend and all the guests raved about how beautiful the venue was! The staff were so accommodating with our needs, happy, friendly and professional. If a beautiful garden overlooking the stunning Lake Karapiro next to a sweet and intimate cafe is what you are looking for in a venue than 'The Boatshed' is the place for you.

L.I've been here several times over the years, I have bought my kayak from here and received great advice and help. The Cafe/restaurant is beautifully set out with both indoor and outdoor seating. Fabulous grounds and view. Great toilets. Awesome friendly staff with awesome sense of humor. Can't wait to go again.
L.I had a wonderful 70th birthday luncheon on Sunday at the Boatshed with my family and friends. The food was delightfully seasoned with nicely cooked meat. And a beautiful plum ricotta cake for desert. The addition of a few different sauces to add to plate would have topped the meal off to perfection. Thank you so much Katie
L.We celebrated my mother's and a friend's 90th birthday's here on Sunday and it was lovely. Kate and her team were wonderful. The food was beautiful, the birthday cake was delicious along with a wonderful warm cosy atmosphere. Thankyou to you all for making this milestone so memorable.

A.I have been here for standup paddle boarding and kayaking, both times I had a great time! The staff are friendly and the lake itself is beautiful, the restaurant at the venue is top notch and the view is amazing.
S.This is something that I will like to repeat again! Kind People, Fun Experience. We had a blast seeing the worms glowing while we were kayaking under a clear sky with wonderful stars. Thank you team of The Boat Shed for tonight you are amazing.
