We had our wedding here last year and I hope our review will do this beautiful place and amazing people justice. From the very first meeting we had with Caryn, Wendy and Trevor, Tabula Rasa met and exceeded every expectation we had. They were so welcoming it was as if we were meeting with family. They made every moment so personal and I can not thank them and their staff enough for the everything they did. I suggest if you are even just considering holding your wedding or event at Tabula Rasa, meet with them and see it for yourself in person. Our guest continue to compliment everything from our day here.. the food is amazing (we had platters, mains and desserts) the venue is gorgeous with so many possibilities of how you want to personalize your day. It was such an elegant and sophisticated venue yet inviting and welcoming. I experienced a lot of problems just weeks before with hair and make up cancelling, florist cancelling just two days before, family dramas and it felt like just a whole lot of bad luck. They could see how anxious I was the day before but they just had everything under controlled, organized so efficiently and I honestly can not thank them enough for helping me get through the day. On the day, we had so much fun and it was such a relaxed experience because of the team here. They went above and beyond anything that was asked and we loved everything about them, the venue, the pool, the accommodation, the food and the staff. You will not be disappointed with their fun, attentive and professional approach to whatever event you have in mind. Thank you! Jaye and Sharleen

We had our wedding here and loved everything about it. The venue is stunning with lots of areas for your ceremony and photos. The gardens are immaculately tended and the whole place is presented to the highest standard. The staff are super professional and attentive. Caryn helped us to plan the day, so it was like having a personal wedding planner at no charge. All of our guests loved the food which was delicious with a varied menu. Fantastic wedding or conference venue! Highly recommended. My best mate just had a wedding here, and we had an absolute blast! Really well laid out as the staff made everything really easy for everyone to organize everything. All in all great service, and a stunning location.

My husband and I got married at Tabula Rasa just this weekend. From the moment we stepped foot on the venue, we fell in love. Right from the beginning they were so easy going, professional and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and make for such stunning photos. Having the shaded area for the ceremony was such a blessing during the hot afternoon! And the guests were entertained while we were down having photos. The next day everyone was raving at how perfectly and smoothly our day went. The food is incredible and there is so much of it! No one went hungry. Special mention also to how accommodating they are with food allergies. My aunty has very specific requirements and they never batted an eyelid, making sure she had everything she needed, and still keeping it delicious. Thank you for making our day so amazing. I highly highly highly recommend Tabula Rasa. xx

Lovely venue! Could do with some more shade out the back and some soft furnishings in the dining room to soak up some noise. Also when busy the toilets need to be attended to more often. Great food and beautiful setting however. Would love to visit again.

My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day. As soon as we arrived at Tabula Rasa, when we were first viewing the venue, we knew it was a perfect fit. We had multiple planning meetings and our rehearsal dinner there, leading up to our wedding and each time we walked away feeling confident and excited for the wedding itself. Caryn, Wendy, Trevor and the team made us feel like we were an extension of their family and hosted our perfect day. Their guidance in planning and setup was fuss free and focussed on what our vision was for our wedding. They were most helpful in advising what worked best detail-wise (timings, which spaces of the venue to use for what etc.) all the time keeping what we had envisioned at the forefront of the planning. The team don’t miss a beat and ensured our day was coordinated smoothly. The venue itself is fantastic! The gardens are beautiful; we used the outdoor area by the pool for our canapés and then later for the dance and the setting was just stunning. The food is delicious and everything you need is right there; even the wedding cottage! Tabula Rasa offered everything we needed for the perfect wedding. An experience that is a true reflection of the team as attentive hosts and a testament to they’re dedication to offering a picture-perfect venue.

If you are looking for the most gorgeous, stress-free and fun-filled venue in Auckland: Look no further because you have just found it! Tabula Rasa set the scene for our perfect wedding day and we couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable time. The gardens, the pool, the catering and the friendly team had so many rave reviews from our guests and we really appreciated having a bit of stress removed from ourselves when it came to setting up and all the behind the scenes on the day itself. We invited a close knit 40ish people to our "friends" place, for a celebratory dinner to celebrate being together 15years. This turned into a small surprise wedding! And that is exactly how I would describe Tabula Rasa, it was like being welcomed into a friends home. A friend who would take the load off and help plan, organize & schedule everything so that you're calm and less frazzled. A friend who will make a beautiful home cooked meal with her hands to feed you and your friends and a friend who takes pride in their home by keeping it beautiful and well manicured for everyone to enjoy. The customer experience was second to none from the moment we drove out to see the place. Very welcoming, and everyone made us feel heard. My Partner and I got married at Tabula Rasa just this month, If you are looking for a Venue that requires minimum effort for maximum results than look no further. I shall start with the only downsides we experienced, as I feel reviews with only one side lack a little authenticity. First, there are a fair few bugs due to it having massive (Beautiful) gardens on all sides, to counter this there is bug spray offered, unfortunately we did not notice until we had already been bitten. Second It isn’t the closest venue to central Auckland, being a wedding, with many patrons drinking it can be a downside, hiring a bus to and from venue could solve this issue. As far as the positives, well were do I begin, The owners of this Venue are amazing, it is a family run business and it isn’t a cramming session for them, when we were looking at venues they mentioned they ran a wedding a weekend so that both their team and the Wedding were not overly stressed and it meant we could come in the day prior to set up, this was a massive plus in our books as most of the places we looked needed the wedding to be both decorated, completed and cleaned up within the same day. Like any business customer service is key, and the Tabula Rasa team went above and beyond, changing our day from magnificent to magical with small but caring moments. We had several meetings with Tabula Rasa as we tried to envision our day, they were open to us visiting the venue on multiple occasion and were there to add there opinion / expertise as we went. When we sat down with the chef to talk menu the chef was both knowledgeable about her position and went out of the way, I had a few coeliac guests, and the chef managed to cater to their needs while not altering from the original menu, meaning they did not feel excluded when food was served. The chef offered to incorporate small versions of the larger deserts I was keen for so we could include them in the tasting platers that they offered. Being an idiot, I managed to forget to eat before the wedding (This is not advised), and was starting to feel a little tipsy before the majority of the guests had arrived, I spoke to the team and they were able to whip up a sandwich for me to help settle the alcohol and the nerves. It’s the small things. The catering team brought out Canapes and drinks were bought out mid photo shoot for the wedding parties, this is a big must as taking photos for an hour can whip up hunger like you wouldn’t believe I was then surprised at dinner, when the chef came out with a small side of veges, my partner and I could not decide between two of the sides, and being the groom I happily conceded when the zilla came out, seeing my reluctance they took it upon themselves and I got a taste of the side I wanted on the day. The team at Tabula Rasa also allowed us to do non-conventional bar tabs, which meant the bridal parties and a few others we selected could order off the menu while setting a standard wine, cider and beers for all others. If you made it this far through the review then something must of sparked your fancy, before moving on to have a look at another venue I’d recommend to message the Team and pop in for a visit, the venues style and aesthetics are beautiful, not one guest had anything bad to say and they made our day simple, elegant and most importantly fun. Another shout out for the day was the awesome team at Kouki Photography NZ for capturing our day. Their team was very fun to work with and managed to get photos of our beautiful day at Tabula Rasa.

Not only is the location stunning but Caryn, Wendy & Trevor were so lovely and incredibly accommodating right from the beginning; nothing was ever too much hassle. This venue has it all and there's really no reason to need to leave once you and your guests are there. We particularly loved this for our wedding as it felt so warm and inviting and that's exactly how we wanted our guests to feel. The food was yummy and all the staff were very friendly!! We had our wedding here for 80+ guests. It has such a cool and relaxing vibe which is why we chose this venue. The grounds are well-maintained and there are different areas for photos and for guests to spread out. Caryn and her team were amazing during the planning stages and with delivery on the day. We can only say .....WOW!!!!!! My daughter Nicky organized my 70th birthday at this amazing venue. We had the BEST time ever!!!!! Trevor Caryn and Wendy are the most accommodating friendly lovely people and it is because of their kindness and their help and not to mention the fantastic venue that my party turned out so very special. We needed a conference venue and found this amazing venue by chance. We were not disappointed! The staff are amazing with helping to organise your event exactly how you want it to be. Communication is fast and they are really lovely people. The catering they provide was delicious and beautifully presented, and they are able to cater to last minute on the day requests. Stunning venue for our wedding. We loved that there were different areas on the property for guests to move to throughout the day, lawn games were provided and there were so many beautiful backdrops for photos. So many of our guests said it surpassed any wedding venue they had ever been to. During our planning meeting Caryn explained that their goal is to make sure everyone is well fed and they certainly lived up to that, we had the 3-course set menu and our guests couldn’t believe they received 3 protein choices, as well as sharing plates, everything including the canapes and desserts were just to die for. Caryn, Trevor and Wendy were so outstanding to work with, responsive, easy going and accommodating. They made us feel like family and we cannot wait to go back and visit one day soon.
