J.Gardens to wander in with quirky old decorations tucked in quiet spots. The cafe was lovely and well decorated. Tables with upright chairs and a sofa and armchair area too, all socially distanced. There is an outdoor deck with tables for fine-day dining. The cakes were well displayed. It was easy to see the range of drinks available. I asked for a savoury pinwheel to take-away and it was beautifully presented in a cardboard box with a wooden fork.
K.The team at backyard catering were amazing for our wedding. They definitely think of all the little things and small touches. The staff were professional and helpful, they were efficient and the food was amazing!
Our guests commented that the food was delicious and the set up was beautiful and inviting. would totally recommend these guys, and such a good price too!
C.Linda hosted us for our wedding and she and her team did an amazing job! She provided the cottage for my wife and I, and 3 rooms for our guests in the Lodge. The food was great and everything went off without a hitch.

S.What a beautiful place to visit. Grounds were stunning, we only got to see a small part as weather packed it in. Cafe on garden visit is wonderful, ploughmens lunch was devine. Will come again next year.

O.Delicious menu for more than one hundred guests was created by Linda Morrison and her team as part of Long Lunch for Powerco Taranaki Garden Festival . People enjoyed both the vegetarian and traditional version of the main course. My favourite was the dessert - truffle with gin and fruit sorbet. Look how pretty it was! Tairoa Lodge & Kingfisher Cottage - beautiful location.
k.Went to Tairoa lodge for mums 80th birthday celebration and it was awesome. Food was great and awesome atmosphere. Loved the beautiful ham on the bone and chocolate brownie. Went outside and played petanque. Highly recommended place for celebration.

S.A beautiful place for a wedding. The old church was a lovely setting for the wedding, we could wander around the gardens and had a look inside the historical homestead.

H.Backyard Catering catered my wedding on our property in New Plymouth. Their food was absolutely amazing, all our guests raved about the delicious food. The bar staff were also amazing, their service was above and beyond. Linda was amazing to deal with from booking to planning to the big day. I cannot recommend Linda and her team enough!!
