M.We couldn’t be happier to have found Little Wilderness for our special day. The place is magical, surrounded with beautiful nature that doesn’t even need much decorations. There are many stunning spots within the property for ceremony and for the photos. George (the owner) is amazing as well, he was there for us all the time, picking up multiple phone calls and giving advices. We recommend him as a manager for the event, he helped us make the day run smoothly, even with the last minute requests. All the guests loved it as well. Thank you George for all the support and attention to detail!
H.Thank you Little Wilderness and George (owner/director) for hosting our wedding of 80 guests at short notice. We were so grateful to have found you so close to home. Your setting is just perfect for a DIY wedding and would recommended your venue to anyone that is keen to make their wedding style their own. There was ample time for set up/pack down and George is passionate about his work and event coordination. I would highly recommend using him for your duty manager/event coordination and Little Wilderness. It’s value for your money and it won’t disappoint. We had ceremony, reception and photos at the location. The only downside is the 10pm cut off, simply consider an early start wedding and make the most of the day! Although the bonus with this, was not being exhausted the next day. It was easy to organise a shuttle for guests to and from.

The outdoor setting was stunning on a nice sunny afternoon. The indoor area was perfect for the rustic theme we were going for. H.A hidden gem out in the wilderness! It was a perfect spot for our tiny wedding held in January. Surrounded by nature and exquisite view, every corner you turn you'll find amazing photo spots! Little Wilderness has all that you need to curate your own special day. It definitely added a magical touch to our wedding!

Little Wilderness is a beautiful venue with a calm and lush outdoor setting and a welcoming indoor area. We held our ceremony at the orchard surrounded by gorgeous olive & fruit trees, followed by a reception & party in the barn area. It’s an amazing property for how close it is to Auckland!
George was incredible in facilitating our wedding ceremony which was everything we had dreamed of. Several of our guests remarked on the ceremony, suggesting it was one of the best they'd ever experienced. Highly recommended!

A.Loved visiting the venue and celebrating with friends. There's a big barn that can fit a large groups of guests, and the surrounding area is really stunning, especially as the sun goes down. In terms of travel time considerations, it's close enough to Auckland Central get back home within 30mins, but remote enough to feel like you truly out in the country. Recommend checking out if you are into a special, undiscovered place to host a corporate event or wedding.

E.Was fortunate enough to spend a few days here writing / recording music. What a privilege. A secluded and inspiring environment surrounded by native trees and a running river. I would highly recommend to any musician looking for a creative retreat. The place even has a resident baby grand piano! One of Auckland's hidden gems.

J.Finding the right wedding venue was our number 1 priority. We wanted lots of natural beauty, and a space where we and our guests could be relaxed and comfortable - Little Wilderness ticked all the boxes!
It was the first venue we visited, and we fell in love with it so much we cancelled all our other appointments immediately and booked it in as soon as we settled on a date. You have to visit the venue to experience the magic of the place, it feels like you've stepped outside of Auckland into quite literally, a little piece of rustic, beautiful wilderness - albeit with comfy seating areas and a lush getting ready room! The natural scenery and the grounds are stunning and peaceful. As soon as I got to the venue on the day I started to relax just being in that space. On top of that, the venue has showers and an awesome space for getting ready on site, plus amazing photo locations, so we were able to do everything all in one place which massively reduced our stress on the day.
We received so many raving compliments from our guests about the venue too - it was just the type of space that people enjoy spending time in! The natural beauty of it and the minimal but tasteful rustic decor /furniture also means you really don't need much in terms of decorations. It's beautiful as it is.
George is also an absolute hero, exactly what you want in a venue manager. Helpful, fun, easy to communicate with, down to earth, and went above and beyond to make our day wonderful and stress-free.
I would also highly recommend opting for the 2 hour photo tour add-on option. My husband and I both agree it was our highlight of the day! So much fun riding on the buggy and visiting all the scenic spots, and made for some beautiful photos and video moments. Finally - we felt so happy that our wedding was supporting an eco friendly business looking after our native forest. Love your work guys - keep it up. Couldn't recommend the venue highly enough!!!
