K.We hired the car club rooms for our wedding, using Creative Catering as the caterer. Creative Catering ran the whole process on behalf of the car club and were wonderful to deal with.
The club rooms had everything we needed, with a gravel carpark with room for 20+ cars. The large grassed area in front of the club rooms would be ideal for a summer wedding, however it was too wet for a spring wedding. But this didn't detract from having a great wedding ceremony held on the club rooms verandah and then reception in the hall.
Facilities include a walk in chiller, fridge/freezer, zip type hot water, commercial kitchen and chairs/tables available for hire. The venue is a nice private location only 5mins drive from Palmerston North.
Great value for money to hire and generous terms of use of the venue - pick up the keys on Friday and return on Sunday.
J.Nice venue, just on dangerous corner to turn into the driveway. Also if you need cell phone coverage this place has really bad sometimes no reception
