l. M.Just came back from New Plymouth garden festival where prices ranged from zero to $2 to $5 for each garden visited. It is not possible to see all the gardens during a festival and I thought this fair pricing. The Rotorua festival is elitist in that there is a one price for the two days of open gardens that being $49. If I could see three gardens a day that makes it an average of $8 a garden, so so much more than enjoying the gardens of New Plymouth I could see upward of 10 gardens for that price. So no, I wont be doing the Rotorua garden fest sadly. As a disabled pensioner the price is inhibitive.
