We booked the lookout lodge for a wedding, and everything was perfect. We had a room downstairs for grandma to retire to without the pesky staircase to climb, an ample number of guests for those overnighting, and the site itself was beautiful and the essence of the South Island. Nancy was fantastic to work with, and I’d recommend the lookout lodge without hesitation and would love to come back at some point in the future. Thanks again!

Our stay was for a big group, and this lodge was absolutely perfect. Our host Nancy was delightful and had everything ready before we arrived. Perfect spot amidst the hills, and so clean and warm with a lot of space to move around in.

We got married at the Lookout Lodge and it is the best venue. The scenery of the venue is amazing and nothing compares. Family and friends were able to stay at the venue with us and everyone had a great time. As a local wedding planner for Fantail Weddings, we love using The Lookout Lodge as a wedding venue. The views across the valley make for a picture perfect setting. The lodge is well set up and a great backdrop for a rustic styled celebration

It is an idyllic peaceful location with stunning mountain views only a short distance from Wanaka. The owners and staff are always friendly & helpful which really makes the Lookout Lodge a relaxed and pleasant experience for any occasion. Enjoyed the Lodge for 5 day yoga retreat and it was just magic. Great bedrooms and shower/ bathrooms, fantastic views and stillness, very relaxing atmosphere away from busy central Wanaka.
