What an amazing time had by all on a wonderful sunny day food was fab. Staff were great location was special. Enjoyed activities and just a chance to rest up and chat and take in the views . Recommend a day out there

We are so truly grateful for how perfectly our special day turned out, in no small part to the amazing team at Boomrock. Chloe was amazing from the first time we met and that never stopped, nothing was ever too much trouble, everything was so easy and it all ran so smoothly. The staff on the day exceeded our expectations, everyone made comment about how stunning the venue was, how wonderful and attentive the staff were and how absolutely exquisite the food was. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you again, Mr & Mrs Shepherd

Awesome venue with amazing views and equally amazing staff. The food was also top notch. We all really enjoyed the activities too, which included clay pigeon trap shooting, archery and the golf hole challenge across the chasm. My team and I had a brilliant time, I would recommend this to anyone looking for the full package of food, fun and friendliness. Bravo!!

Fantastic service! Second time we've visited. Still had a great time even with the poor weather coming in. Must admit the clay bird shooting and hitting the golf ball was fun in the rain. Very accommodating with dietary needs, even at short notice. All the staff were lovely and the food was delicious. Looking forward to our next visit!

Was definitely the best decision to choose boomrock as our wedding venue. The views are breathtakingly beautiful. We have received so many compliments from our guest and people who have seen our wedding photos about the beautiful venue. Not only that Chloe is one of the most kindest and sweetest people I have dealt with. She was the wedding coordinator at boomrock and she certainly made the wedding planning and wedding day stress free. The food was also really good 10/10

Probably one of the most romantic wedding place I have been. The location is a bit funny as it take about 30 mins from Jacksonville motorway exit. Then you feel you go to an isolated place without GPS signal in the last 5 mins before you arrive Boomrock. But once you arrived this place. You will be stunned by the breathtaking ocean view. When weather is fine. This place is really unbeatable for wedding We felt so cool that we were invited to be there for friends wedding.

60th Birthday Claybird shooting, axe throwing, archery, golf and digger challenge. Also cocktail challenge. Amazing canapés Top quality lunch menu created by very experienced chef and well stocked, great range of bar choices. Super friendly staff. Felt wanted, special and valued. Would highly recommend.

I visited Boomrock for a Christmas function, to say the location is amazing is an understatement! The staff were wonderful, friendly and accommodating, there were fantastic activities on offer and the food and wine was on point. Wow. I felt very lucky, and the weather put on a real show.

Paradise!! This is fantastic place for private functions. You will have magnificent view of south island ranges and breathtaking views of sea.. it can not be explained in words! Must attend if you ever invited. Love to go back.

Fantastic venue and outstanding service. Very attentive and have thought of everything. Food was excellent and catered to all dietary requirements. Planning was stress free (planned the wedding from abroad) thanks to Chloe and her team as they asked all the right questions.

What a place. This place is fantastic stunning views,great food and drinks selection. The staff are unbelievably great and friendly. A great place to have a staff function or any sort of function that you. Have a try a archery,knife throwing, or clay bird shooting.

Attached a Wedding here, what an amazing place overlooking the cook straight. Even though the weather was somewhat terrible the facility was amazing, Warm (inside) clean staff were amazing. Well done team definitely recommend.

What a gem! Impeccable hosts.

We had our team end of year function at Boomrock 12/12/20 for seventy people. Everyone was buzzing on Monday morning "The best function we have ever had" "when can we go back" and "how will you ever better this". We had a great experience from the first phone enquiry to getting on the bus to leave for home. Great team, great venue, well run activities, great views, great food. Highly recommend

Went to Boomrock last Saturday with my Dad for the ride with Greg Murphy! What a unforgettable experience! The scenery from the track is some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever witnessed in all of new zealand.. the team at Boomrock are just purely wonderful people and the ride with Greg Murphy was unforgettable! An experience Dad and myself will never ever forget and I promise you we will be back again in the future! Absolutely Stunning thankyou for an unforgettable experience!

Just an incredibly special place that never fails to disappoint! Seriously affordable for a magical venue, so much fun to be had with various activities or just sit in luxury and soak up the unbeatable views while dining on impeccable cuisine! I want to become a regular!

The most incredible location in Wellington for a wedding! Views aside (which are jaw dropping!) they food is off the chain. The portions were generous, incredibly delicious and they run a slick operation that you don't need to worry about a thing on the day! I'd highly recommend Boomrock as a wedding venue for anyone. Worth EVERY penny!

Pain to get to couldn't leave when you want to have to wait for bus supplied, good staff and food

We were just married at Boomrock and it was the most spectacular venue we can imagine. The view is breathtaking, we could see the South Island from the gorgeous lawn where we had our ceremony. It's set just far enough outside Wellington that we felt like we were in our own little world for the whole day. After the ceremony the friendly venue staff brought around champagne and delicious canapes while our friends and family enjoyed extreme golf, lawn games, and a little bit of clay pigeon shooting. It started raining in the evening (always a possibility in a Wellington autumn), but Boomrock was immediately ready with heaters, raincoats, and a large covered deck so we could still enjoy the view. The lodge is also perfect. We sat around beautifully decorated tables in front of an open fire with our friends and family enjoying savoury tarts with quince paste, beef sirloin with Manuka honey smoked bacon and a collection of fine wines from Boomrock's cellar. The staff were always attentive and kept everyone's glasses full, as well as bringing out gluten-free options and generally going above and beyond with their service. By the end of the night we had music blasting through the venue's top quality sound system and guests dancing in front of the fire or smoking cigars outside on the deck. Boomrock organised shuttle transport there and back so everyone was free to relax and not worry about anything except helping us celebrate. Special thanks to Harriet and her team for sticking with us the entire day and night and making sure everything went exactly right. We would recommend Boomrock highly for any event, but a wedding there is PARTICULARLY special.

Great place for a gathering- in this case a wedding reception. Very weather dependent but even in bad weather it would a cosy place with spectacular views. Staff were excellent and everything went as planned.

Always a great time at Boomrock. Whether attending a wedding or a social event, they look after you, the food is FANTASTIC, and the outlook is amazing even on a rough day.

Fantastic experience. Fabulous setting on the side of a cliff. Activities to try that you may never gat a chance to do anywhere else. Food was wonderful. Steak was very tender and tasty

It was a rather surreal day for a wedding at Boomrock yesterday with a dense shroud of mist all day. The sea hurling itself at the rocks below was glimpsed only a handful of times. Inside heart were warm and bellies full as the fab staff fed and watered the lively patrons. I can still taste the whitebait fritters and beef eye fillet with red wine jus. Yummo! Thanks Oli and team for your professionalism and welcoming attitudes.

Stage day ..awsome... clay bird shooting knife and archery. ...but the 4 wheel drive wow. .....you have to do that it's fantastic. The staff excellent. Going to do the new Cleveland course to in auckland ☺
