S.This is the most picturesque and clean campground we have stayed at and we camp at alot of different places. The staff are friendly and welcoming and were more than happy to help when we had to suddenly pack up and leave due to an emergency. Beautiful beach across the road, Can't wait to return

A.We love visiting Flaxmill! We have been on a number of occassions and usually stay in one of the cottages. Very clean and well maintained. The team are always welcoming and accomodating. Perfect for a stay close to Whitianga. We leave the car and walk to the Whitianga ferry which only takes a couple of minutes to cross. Also has some great walks in all directions. Highly recommend a relaxing time away at Flaxmill..

K.If you are travelling out to Cooks Beach or you want somewhere to treat yourself Flaxmill is well worth a visit with lovely, modern three bedroom homes spaciously set amongst a beautiful garden setting. Also caters for larger groups with a conference room and catering kitchen. And the staff are amazing.
K.We are already planning to stay again! We held our wedding ceremony and reception here last weekend. The staff were super helpful and the venue gorgeous! Our family and friends stayed onsite as well and all loved it. The quality of the accommodation and decor was amazing. We loved our time here! It exceeded all our expectations! We didn't want to leave!
P.Stunning grounds. Well appointed houses. Close to the beautiful Flaxmill bay beach and Shakespeares cliff reserve.
l.Friendly manager welcomed us and showed us around. The perfect place to unwind in your own self contained, modern Cottage.
S.Had a fab time here. Nice walk from here to catch ferry to whitianga. Very pleasant. At flaxmill services are awesome. A little bit more expensive at $50 a night but have the best large sites in garden like grounds. Showers good and free and kitchen spotless. Dump station and water here. Stayed 2 nights would certainly go again.

Loved our stay. All mod cons and very stylish design. Amazing mature trees scattered around grounds. Very near beach and nature walks.
Does get very hot in the afternoon sun - need to throw windows and doors open to keep cool.
Our bungalow was fully accessible for our needs, with wide ramps, level access, spacious interiors, main bathroom with roll-in shower with access grab rails.
Master en-suite not designed as accessible and bedroom 2 and 3 not large enough for power chairs.
G.Been going here 21 years. Gets better every year with improvements. 3 Bedroom houses are great value for money as are the sizeable camp sites. As a mortgage broker great place to tent, campervan or stay if I want a working holiday. Wifi great and above all service is phenomenal from friendly staff. A stone throw away from a brilliant beach.
D.Flaxmill Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the house we stayed in was extremely clean, modern and I had a walkin in wardrobe for the first time in my life. The gardens are beautifully kept and the birdsong in the morning until evening is so calming. I really cant speak highly enough of Flaxmill Lodge - we will be back.
I.Great place to stay Private, spotless, a lovely quiet spot , very central Jo and Cameron were super hosts nothing too much, secure safe car parking and all very private.
Will be booking this place again in the near future.

Very family friendly & superb facilities with the communal kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, BBQ s & outdoor table eating. Also has a seperate disability shower/toilets available & everything clean twice daily from friendly staff. Best of all there is a noise curfew at 10pm to allow families to settle kiddies for thier night sleep so no all night noisy parties here folks.
E.A wonderful place to stay! We stayed for one night in our tend (December 2018). Fully equipped with very polite staff! Next to Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove. Thank you very much for everything! I would recommend that place to anyone!

Great cottage. I stayed in Kauri. Parking and a path to the cottage, surrounded by trees.
Kitchen with a fridge and freezer, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee plunger. Coffee supplied as well as tea and salt and pepper. Olive oil would be really useful too.
Lounge with a TV, I couldn't get my netflix login to work on the report. Wifi available.
Bathroom with a hairdryer and soaps.

M.There is no doubt this campground has a stunning setting amongst trees and the facilities are well maintained and kept very clean. However, water is not available at each of the powered camp sites. Given the premium price the campground charges compared to other NZ campgrounds, this is unusual. While there are only 50 camp sites available I also question whether two showers and three toilets in both the men’s and ladies bathrooms are sufficient enough during peak times.
S.we stayed in a cabin(During Leadfoot Festival which is 5mins up the rd) which was amazeing...it had a very luxurious feel,modern with all the amenities,and was situated across the road(mere meters) from a beautiful and safe beach,the staff catered. to our every needs and we will be staying with them again, 10/10
S.We headed to Whitianga to buy some food and to look at potential campsites. It is infuriating New Zealanders do not want to show prices for their campsites, so you must start a booking process online to see what the price is. The sites in the area were reaching $50 for the night, pretty exorbitant. Freedom camping seems to be frowned on here, with three spaces allocated, and already occupied in the early afternoon.
We did find a site eventually that was $40. It was on the other side of the estuary at Flaxmill Cove. It turned out to be a very nice place with large plots, a beautifully clean, modern kitchen & hotel-like bathrooms. It is also only 10 minutes drive from the Hot Water Beach which we aim to visit tomorrow.
e.This is a truly fantastic camp site. It only has 50 tent sites plus some cabins. We were tenting and the tents are set in amongst trees which give great shade and privacy. The amenities are very very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

T.The man at check in (Allan?) was fantastic. Very nice to deal with and very helpful. Lovely park like grounds with large camp sites. The brach across the road is very safe for children! A few extra showers and toilets wouldnt go astray. The kitchen was lovely.

Great location 15 min from Hot Water Beach and 10 min from Cathedral Cove and across from the lovely Flaxmill Beach where we had a picnic (just the road to cross). Very cute with pretty flowers everywhere. Kitchen and toilets brand new. Very nice owner who has concocted a program for the day. The lodges (we were in a tent) are beautiful !!! I highly recommend.

Très bien situé à 15 min de Hot Water Beach et 10 min de Cathedral Cove et en face de la jolie plage de Flaxmill où nous avons pique niqué ( juste la route à traverser). Très mignon avec de jolies fleurs partout. Cuisine et toilettes tout neufs. Propriétaire très sympa qui nous a concocté un programme pour la journée. Les lodges (nous on était en tente) sont splendides!!! Je recommande fortement.
