On the 12th Dec 2020 I chose to change a 40yr long cycle of depression and self worth struggle. That was the first and biggest step accepting an issue and wanting change. A successful series of meetings with male Clinical Psychologist was the first stage in a life changing turn around. The second step was a chance meeting with Shelley at a petrol station, rekindling an old friendship after many years and discovering her Success and Wellness Program. Wanting a woman's point of view to balance all I learned about myself through the males therapists sessions I asked to join her program and quickly learned how to understand that life as I perceived through my eyes was very easy to share with those around me through better communication, and learning how to feel good about myself while understanding that some days just aren't as good as others. Shelley's experiences in life and honesty earned my complete trust - without which no gains can be made on my own. To summarize how I feel now after my meetings with Shelley and beating depression would be akin to standing over the edge of a cliff on a platform of thin glass constantly looking down and waiting to fall. At the bottom is everything that the last 40 years threw at me and the fall was sometimes prevented by the glass - but that would break at any time sending me back into a dark place. Now though the glass I stand on is getting thicker as each day goes by. I can still see the bottom and all that awaits but the chance of falling gets further away due to Shelly's help. Depression can be beaten and Shelley has helped me get here. This is what I have come away with after filling up with diesel that day and I am very grateful to her genuine interest in wanting me to be where I am now. To simply recommend her wouldn't give credit to how much I appreciate her efforts. Joe Goodin
