C.So good to be at the market this weekend - a great range of delicious fresh and snack foods, organic verges reasonably priced, plus live music, stalls with everything from hats and jewellery to old 33 rpm albums - plus the fabulous Lyttelton coffee, quirky old buildings and views of the wharf and harbour.
S.Always a great experience. Super food varieties, fresh coffees, yummy breads, all kinds of goods on sale. People bring their well-behaved leased dogs as well.

S.Always fun to mingle with the locals, sample the food on offer and visit the excellent cafes. Great vibe, just go early or miss out on some of the yummy patisserie items 👌

D.Wow so much bigger than I thought it would be. Lots of yummy food and fresh organically grown Vegies. Crafts and open shop finds. Well worth a drive to Lytterlton on a Saturday morning.
K.Local market selling fresh produce, breads, apparels and many more things. Few good cafes nearby. Parking is always a problem area. Make sure to reach early to secure a parking space.
S.Great environment. Good atmosphere of people enjoying great stalls and the sunshine. Stall holders were friendly & helpful. It was a great way to spend the morning out of the city & by the sea.

v.Great market, going back ,fresh produce Manuka honey was delicious , spices . Just about everything and great prices too. Definitely going back. Main street blocked off so easy to get around and see everything on show.

C.Wonderful stalls. Best fresh bread outside the library from Shane and his family, best ever Venison burgers also and the pavlovers stall rocks. Must do a pavlova to seal the deal.

Interesting stalls of food, health oriented, sweet and decadent, local produce, affogato bowls, pastries, flavoured salts, cured meats, bees wax, etc, etc, all sorts all high quality.
Running along London street, every time I return it seems more busy and bustling.
Grab an organic coffee and browse the stalls, always recommend popping over and spending your morning there.

A.Well worth a look as there is something for everyone welcoming and friendly stallholders as well as a friendly atmosphere. Littleton not the biggest town but friendly and welcoming.

H.I love this market. Great food. Dog friendly- some weirdo looking dogs. Friendly cruising people. Some courageous and creative vendors pushing boundaries/conciousness/cross cultural - like the tempeh tofu guys. The olive stall is amazing. The mushroom cultivation stall was sold out before 11am both times I recently went. Thanks Lyttleton Farmer's Market.
K.There were only 10-15 shops when I visited in August 2019, maybe because of the rain.
You can get local cheese, honey, bread, ham and more! I’m a tourist but not a local however still enjoyed looking around the local products.
I would not recommend if you are tourist and going Lyttelton only for this market. It’s a short street and takes only a couple of minutes to walk if you don’t stop any shops. Probably better to stop here on the way to Akarora.
N.Not many stalls. If you’re looking for local grown vegetables and fruits, this the right place. Also, try the Indo Tempeh House food, delicious!

C.This is a must go market if you ever visiting Christchurch on Saturday morning. The Lyttelton market offer a great sense of real local living market with stunning habour views. Didn't mention the great cafe and Street market has to offer. You sure will love it too.

Come on out with a couple of reusable bags and grab some goods, while you're at it, drop into one of the many great cafes for a good cup of Joe.

D.Great place to stroll around pick up a bargin, have great cheese, salami, beautiful pies, fresh vegetables, jewellery, bric a brac. Very people, dog friendly. Fantastic walking down the street with awesome coffee to be had and yummy eclairs. Parking is hard to find but have patience you will get there.

S.Great day out! First time to the markets. Was good to see someone holding a sign for paid parking ($2) otherwise we would've been driving around for ages looking for a park.
Just be careful crossing the main road (from the bridge).
Good variety of foods and produce. Loved the 2nd hand household section too.
Didnt plan on buying ANYTHING but a coffee. Ended up spending over $200 (mostly on food, cheese and a couple of homemade knuck-knacks).
Can't wait for my next day-off on a Saturday!

J.A very busy farmers market with a lot of fresh, organic and vegan foods. The locals are quite welcoming and very helpful with what's good and what's worth a try. It's trendy and very chill, I enjoy the atmosphere here as well as the food and the stalls. Truly a great market and worth the drive if you're coming from the other side of town, its a lot of fun and great to support locals~

F.Great selection, plenty of stalls and real popular market. Parking was a bit of issue, so had to walk a bit of a distance to get to the market, but it was worth the walk. The local shops were also open and doing a roaring trade, recommend giving them a visit too!

Love the stall that sells gluten free porridge and gluten free granola, tastes so good. Plus the stall that makes the best I've tried Carrot cake muffins gluten free and ginger crunch slices gluten free. You have to try the home made food. DELICIOUS

k.Lovely local market. Fresh produce and hand crafted items as well as garden plants. Dog friendly if your dog is friendly! Bring cash as there is always a queue for the machine
V.This is a sweet way to spend a Saturday morning, picked up some wonderful ingredients for weekend cooking and some lovely trinkets! Meats, cheese, jams and sauces and lots of veggies! The prosciutto wrapped asparagus sourced from this market was delicious!

L.Love this market - a good mix of things for your weekly shop and the occasional treat. It's also a great place to see a real community and if you love dogs. Prices are good and it is it is interesting - live music most times and Lyttelton is a nice change from the city.

A.Very nice market with some decent choices of food. Overall it's a great idea for a sunny Saturday morning, but it's quite expensive, though, and it opens late 10am, gee... Anyway, overall recommended.
C.This is the best market in Christchurch (If not NZ) What a magical setting and the vibe is very friendly. Only hard part is getting a park as half of Christchurch come over for this.
C.Good selection of fresh & quality products. I heard a French couple talking excitedly about the real bread, another time a German couple were excited by the sausages they had purchased. A small market with music set in the beautiful Lyttelton Harbour.
K.Awesome farmers market. They have all the goods there. Some very delicious cheeses and all kinds of meats, fresh eggs, some bits and bobs and some neat knickknacks. Definitely enjoyable and I thoroughly recommend.
R.Nice way to spend a Saturday morning. Buying fresh produce and jams etc a little expensive but the attmostphere makes it worthwhile. If you want to go to these market you should take with you your comfortable walking shoes because it is a bit if a hike to get to, especially if it's mid morning and all the car parks are taken. Otherwise have a nice espresso and take in the view and the locals.

On the main Street coming out of the tunnel have the best ever donuts.

C.Great little market nestled in the heart of Lyttleton. You will find great coffee and bacon and egg sandwiches. Locally grown premium Organic produce but at a pricey dime. Little craft stalls and entertainers keeping everyone amused, but not to mention the great view of the harbour. A must for anyone or the family this experience will not disappoint.

S.Great place to go on a Saturday morning with friends. I always pick up my free range eggs from Annie, honey and veges for the week. Then coffee in the sun listening to live music
M.It's not huge, but neither is Lyttelton! The choice is good and the artisan food stalls are very good quality. There is a fish stall, but being a port town I'd love to see a proper fish market. We tend to go for the quality fruit and veg.

A.Fantastic local Farmer's Market. Great vegetables and produce, as well as pies, cheese, salamis, bread. Great selection, and a perfect stop off on the way to a great picnic!

J.Its a pretty decent market with good food and produce. There is also a little alley with old kitchen items which always shows a gem or two.

J.Littleton is a quaint port village which is slowly being resurrected following the devastating earthquakes in 2010/11. Definitely worth a visit for lunch or coffee in one of the fantastic cafés that have popped up and then returning for visits to see what's new. Love it.
