Absolutely love the new location of the Opawa farmers market! Just a short stroll from home, a wonderful selection of stalls with a lovely, community feel.

What a lovely atmosphere this market has! The produce is so fresh and the coffee, first class! Besides the veggies and the live music, there are gorgeous sourdough breads, hazelnut cakes and fresh apples and juice. What I most like is that it's quick to get in and out.
D.
That is our Sunday treat. We love going to the market and catch up with friends. We prefer this market, as itnis vegetarian market. Coffee is great, good selection of veggies, bread, warm meals and drinks.

The amount of vegan and organic foods sold here is awesome! I like coming down to the Opawa Farmers Market when I can and I enjoy the atmosphere and everyone I usually met are sweet and welcoming. They're very knowledgeable about the organic food and produce that they're selling and it's lovely to support small local businesses as well~

Love love love this market. Best little market in Christchurch. Fresh vege, delicious breads and treats, lovely preserves (chilli olives oh my!!!), cheese, flowers and more. Not everything is organic though, pays to ask. Top quality buskers too and awesome coffee too. I don't go anywhere else on a Sunday morning!
P.
A small but awesome market, I unfortunately work most weekends but when I get one off I always head there. Love the fresh produce and the people in the stands and it's also great for a quick bite if you're there early enough before they are sold out!
A.
Fresh vegetables and garlic, good coffee, nice cheese and pastries. Bring cash, and your bike as parking is a bit tight. There's an ATM at the nearby new world
V.

Freezing cold and rainy but lots of friendly faces here. Not a huge variety of stalls today, understandably due perhaps to the weather

I normally like to wander at markets but don't find much I want. Not the case here. Great fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread etc. Most of it cash only as far as I saw but I could be wrong.
l.
found vegan Indonesian food here, the tempeh was very delicious, many fresh veggies and fruits stalls too and they are all organic!
M.
Great market but had the worst coffee of my life from the two guys at the front. I don’t usyally complain but this was so bad and I had walked all the way there for a coffee to be served half a cup of burnt tar.
