Reviews of The Clevedon Village Farmers Market
A.
Great place for a farmer's market feed for breeky and a hot sauce. See Chris at Traditional Mexican salsa has soon lovly Flavas and a couple of hots ones to. Always awesome getting to pat the dog's and animals.
J.
Recommend to all. Live music, fresh fruits, beautiful street foods.
R.
Sunday fambam and market filled with good and healthy food. 🤗👌🏼 Perfect to stroll around with kids and furbabies. Make sure to be either early or be there an hour before it closes at 1pm. And be prepared to queue 🤭
F.
Worth the 30min drive from AKL. Good vibes albeit a bit pricey.
D.
Worth a visit. Bring the dog.
Some lovely stalls but very expensive overall.
Sometimes they have great live music
Some seating but need a lot more.
Parking can be a mission.
R.
This is a great market for a lovely Sunday drive, especially on a fantastic weather day we had. Great fresh, mostly organic foods with lots of other goodies such as saukrauts, olive oils, fresh packed meats and sausages etc. and coffee, drinks and to go eats of plentiful varieties and much more. Some stalls have not yet returned from all the Covid ordeals of the last few years but I'm sure the market will only grow from here forward. Great Sunday destination for something to do or as many people do, they go every Sunday for their grocery etc. shop. After the market pop into Clevdon village with it's other markets, artists, restaurants and cafes.
E.
Nice market place, there are bunch of food places and 2 coffee places. Good place to kill some time with family and friends. Not suits for regular kitchen shopping.
s.
Fantastic market. Wonderful vibes. Good food. Safe for the kids. Dog friendly. Heaps of parking. What more can you ask for.
A.
Great fun to have a coffee there, love the non-takeaway cups👍🏼
The knife 🔪 maker is awesome and his knifes can shave hair on his arm. Price is reasonable too for Knifes lovers.
Y.
A location with huge varities of fresh vegetation and seasonal products, including a series of fast food stalls.
Strawberry ice cream taste good but not good value ... $6.00 nzd...
L.
Such a lovely atmosphere with brilliant entertainment. The largest selection on yummy treats I've ever seen at a market, with almost all vendors offering taste tests. I was almost full before I'd decided what to eat! Definitely a must-do when in the area.
H.
A "real" market!
Lots of artesan produce available.
Lovely "village green" type atmosphere, including live musician.
Small and larger producers have stalls (eg, Jersey City A2 Organic Milk).
Free, ample car parking.
Well worth a visit and an opportunity to while away a relaxing, enjoyable hour or so.
Make time for breakfast, brunch or lunch for a memorable Sunday.
G.
Always worth the trip and the time. A pleasant environment, with a wide variety of great food and talented artisans :)
H.
An interesting place for both human being and dogs. 😁Love the Wood Fired Pizza and Cheese Pretzel. Tried the Large whitebait fritters and found that it enlarged by the egg not the whitebait. 😂
P.
One of the reasons why I went back to NZ! The farmers market is just awesome. Love how locals are able to share their local produce/products. Made with so much love and passion.
A.
Just love these markets and try to visit every couple of months! Great selection of delicious foods to try and other cool things too. Definitely worth a visit.
L.
The Gourmet Calamari Co was outstanding. Fresh and super tasty Calamari and the slaw is great. A must have 👌
M.
Really good Falafel from Kohkoz
D.
Second time to this market and really enjoyed the selection of stalls and products. Can get all your weekly shopping here.
Can't wait until they tar seal the drive way, very dusty.
a.

the Sunday farmers market free aan very nice well worth the visit
J.
Lovely atmosphere, beautiful food and good music. Nice way to wind down at the end of the week.
** remember to show your vaccine passport on arrival
N.
Parking available. Mostly food stalls. But some unique products also available. Bring your cash since most stalls don't have EFTPOS. EFTPOS cash out available at 1.50 per transaction.
r.
Twilight market was lovely. Food, music, wine in a lovely location. Vaccine pass needed. Relax and enjoy.
N.
The food was fantastic and the weather was good and Sunday was worth it!!!
O.
The market is quite big, love the market and love the atmosphere 👍🏼
m.
Thank you @sabores_slc for spoiling us again with your magical authentic sud-American flavors,we had a fantastic morning at the Market and of course couldn't miss the opportunity to indulge ourselves with your fantastic food, keep up the good work👏👏
Z.
Open every Sunday, Clevedon Village Markets have a huge variety of food, drink, fresh produce, bakery goods, plants, cheese, seafood and even dog food. Mostly outdoors you can sit on benches or bales of straw. There is also live music for entertainment. I recommend a visit.
A.
Wonderful market, fresh produce, Artisan Food, Delicious brunches, coffee music and GREAT VIBES 8am till 1pm
M.
Always good. Bacon n egg baps a must also the Latin pastrys are good
H.
Good to visit on a sunny day, the live music is awesome, great food stalls ,pet friendly
R.
Great that it's back in business. Really good products, well presented, lots of friendly vendors.
B.
My daughter loved the pony rides. Lots of great food. Would highly recommend
E.
A great place to enjoy casual food and time from morning to noon...
C.
More food stalls than Farmers Market these days. No need for the vaccine pass though guys.
W.
A wonderful to buy local produce and to sit and chill listening to good music. Great for people watching. Dog friendly.
S.
This is the one for fresh organic produce,
enjoy going here. Need to go early for the best selection.
v.
Really nice place to start your weekend.. wonderful eats
B.
It was ok but for the reputation it has it should be 3 or 4 times larger than it is. Hardly worth the drive.
Suggest they stop concentrating on it being a " farmers market " and open it up to more stall holders.
Beautiful spot that is underutilized, make it a day event people want to spend time at. Right now it's boring 😴
s.
Good place to appreciate organic produce and some great food too.
S.
Wonderful outdoor Market, fresh food and produce and market goods. Fresh bread, icecream, desserts and street food.
D.
Could have more stall holders .. a little disappointed as most stalls were sold out by 12
G.
The best place or the best thing to spend your free time and enjoy the farmers lifetime at your nearest auckland site... so cool to be part of it and makes you feel stay touched with the history of old days.... yes definitely you will see animals as well so bring your family and have fun together ❤
H.
autentic foods and nice place, friendly farmers, plenty of parking.
P.
Lots of food available ranging from hot dogs ($12.00 - $15.00), whitebait fritters ($9.00), wood fired pizza ($20.00), crepes and toasties. There were a couple of vegetable stalls. Also on offer was a variety of honeys, sausages, natural soaps and shampoos, bread rolls, chocolates, cheese, pickles, chutneys and dips. Love the atmosphere (there was live music). Heaps of parking available. A bit pricey but otherwise was a good day out.
N.
Very much enjoyed it it was amazing the last one for 2020
T.
Great little farmers market located on the fringes of Auckland. Lots of small boutique stores and pop up eateries, very popular with the locals and visitors alike. Definitely must pop by and have a look if you ever out these ways
I.
Great venue, live music, good coffee and food
W.
Great selection. Happy stall people
R.
Love this market. Crowded Mother's day
Q.
I'd call this an upmarket - market, very pricey. But some yummy stuff there. Was disappointed that my labeled "keto" cranberry sauce, actually wasn't very low carb at all. And lacked any sweetness. But other then that the kids enjoyed the ice cream.
A.
Good farmers market with lots of stalls. Not a lot of vegetable stalls. More prepared products and food. Was raining and gloomy went we went. Must be lovely in the summer. Would recommend a look on a good day. Some products seemed a tad pricey. I suppose they have to make a profit.
B.
Cozy Sunday market, relaxing ambience, best of Sunday mornings
S.
Love this market. So much good food, lots of variety! Go for the baps and empanadas!!
F.
Lovely atmosphere away from the city 😍
V.
Wonderful place to go with someone you love.
M.
Great food, really nice getting to know the local producers. Kid and dog friendly
S.
Hey, it's a farmers market and it's a good as it gets. Great freshly made pizza, good coffee, strawberry ice cream and live music. You can buy pretty much everything here. From great selection of honey to chease, bakery and of course fresh fruit and vegetables. Great place to go to on a Sunday morning. Sometimes there's activities for kids, e.g. pony and horse riding. Love it there.
C.
Bit soggy today. But fantastic market. The local produce and locally handmade food is outstanding. Absolutely rate the mozzarella award winning cheese as the best I have ever tasted. And run by a helpful and knowledgable young man. Highly recommend you take a visit out to The Clevedon market on a Sunday morning with an empty stomach.
L.
This was my second time visiting the market. In fairness, it was not as nice post-Covid with restrictions on entry, but there didn't seem to be as many vendors and variety, and I got tired of the ones who tried to gain eye contact and draw me in to their stall. I personally do not like to be hassled.
T.
Clevedon Market is well worth attending. The wonderful aromas from the food stalls promise a good breakfast if that is what you need before relaxing around the other stalls. Plenty of choice from fresh vegetables to cheeses and cakes. Even plants and flower seeds. Bring the dog on lead free parking in the adjacent fields. Above all - a lovely country setting.
A.
The food, the people - everything was great!!! A lot of different breeds dogs and live music - that what made our experience so exciting! And there's a small livestock pen where kids can pet sheeps, horses and ponies:)
The only thing I didn't like it's a lot of mud. Locals were wearing gumboots, but we came unprepared:(
J.
Great place for toddlers and bigger kids. There is a petting farm also kids can ride on ponies and horses. A variety of snacks and bites. Coffee and juices. Different veggies and herbs. People bring their dogs and kids can enjoy running around too. A great place and day.
L.
Love the fresh produce. Can get very busy on sunny days which is great for the vendors but not good for the venue.
Vendors are not prepared for large crowds especially those making food. This leads to large queues which blocks the available space to move around.
J.
Fantastic range of stalls and eating options. Daughter loves the animal farm with pony rides. Best to take cash but there is cash out onsite. Try to go early as it is very popular. Dog friendly which is awesome.
J.
Escape the Auckland bustle and head to the Clevedon markets - food, organic coffee made exceptionally well, bakery items, herbs, produce, toasties, pizza, honey, meat and lots of other stall holders including pony rides and other farm animals. Chill, chill, chill ... live music and happy vibes to recharge next weeks work grind
E.
Awesome foods we had Clevdon strawberry waffles then an egg and bacon bap and a lamb and mint pasty all delicious and a great coffee
G.
nice market with a farming atmosphere, nice that dogs fit right in here. there was a couple providing some relaxed music which makes for a nice atosphere
K.
Just okay, lot's of food and produce available.
E.
I really liked the concept: fresh air, positive vibes, fresh high quality local food, good music, family friendly activities.
M.
Very lovely place. We drove from north shore just as a day out with our furbabies. We went to the farmers market which was lovely and allowed dogs to go as well. Lovely stalls and fresh produce available. We then went I to town and bought some harnesses from a place called Puchi. Great place, lovely service.
J.
A good assortment of produce. We went there looking for a particular product, Manaia Brewery, found it great service and great beer.👍👍👍
C.
Really cool market, easy to find and easy parking. Nice mix of food stalls and produce, best I've been to in awhile.I stuffed my face on crepes and freshly squeezed juice, the girls in my life ( wife, daughter, mum)enjoyed it too.
G.
Not really a Farmer's market but more arts and crafts. There is only one stall with plants and sometimes avocados.
They have hand made wooden toys, soaps, handcream, place mats, second hand books, a bakery stall, knitted baby clothes and some beautiful bags and scarfs.
Outside are garden decorations, hand crafted wood products which I haven't seen before and candles.
Well worth looking for Xmas presents.
Just inside the door are prints which is a new stand and Paul's polishing. He cleaned up an old brass lampshade my mother left me and did a fabulous job for a very reasonable price. He restores brass and copper. The large brass turkish style coffee pots would make a great present.
There seem to be more stalls at the moment with Xmas approaching so well worth checking out.
A.
I'd heard a lot about this market from friends and it lived up to its reputation. Great mix of stalls and a great atmosphere with live music playing. The kids loved the animal petting area and the horse, donkey, and pony ride.
L.
Lots of ppl, nice buzz with musician to sing for his audiences. Food overly priced, not really worth buying veges and food from there. I prefer the French market in Parnell, food and veges are fresh and cheaper and line is not too long for a coffee =)
T.
Such a cool little thing to go to with your friends and family. Dogs are welcome too. I recommend this place to all. I'll definitely be going back and a very good selection on foods and crafts
A.
This is a great little market. I love the olive oil, whitebait fritters and thier fresh oysters and meat. I never leave without something from thier juice bar. It's a great place to support local producers. If you don't like dogs, you won't like it here. Everyone seems to bring thier pooches for the outing. They are well behaved and mind their own business.
P.
Lovely gourmet food options from Indian cooking pastes to dark chocolate covered macadamias, fresh organic veggies, excellent coffee too from eighthirty. On the more practical side, plenty of parking, good toilet facilities, covered but not inside so you can browse the stalls when its raining without feeling claustrophobic. Could do with being twice the size but if you haven't had your fill of browsing you can visit the lovely handicrafts fair in clevedon village itself also highly recommend the corner kitchen woodshed for lunch see separate review for that one
J.
Awesome selection of food, meat, cheese, coffee, fresh produce, plants, chutney, chocolate etc. Solo guitar player lightened the mood on a miserable, cold wet and windy day. Gravel underfoot and plenty of parking. Runs from 8:30am on Sundays. Get there early. I'll be back for the fresh meat, truffle brie and handmade chocolates.
A.
It's such a nice small market which is only about a 30 min drive from Auckland. It was easy to find a parking space and the car park is right by the market. On a rainy day you don't have to walk far. The market doesn't have a wide selection of vegetables. I'd say it's mostly food stalls. We bought a loaf for $9.5. It's a bit expensive but tastes so good. Many stalls accept eftpos and you can do cash out as well.
J.
Loved the goods on offer. Loved the helpful friendly stall holders. Hated the dogs being treated as humans. People patting dogs or holding them while touching fresh food and talking with stall holders.
A.
Loved the market, staff were super friendly and my coffee was top notch!
R.
Arguably one of the finest farmers markets in Auckland. If not in New Zealand. The best of the finest food.
The Lebanese food is utterly amazing and totally real. Congratulations!!
The whitebait fritters are the best and you'll want to eat 2 yourself.
M.
Loved the fresh food . Was great because i took my dog with me and she was among doggie friends too. The people were welcoming and a great atmosphere. Will definately be going back.
D.
What a place!!! For all you garlic lovers-- Kohkos Lebanese cuisine is the best. Also Garden of Eden orchards for cherry juice. Lots of good health benefits with this. The market is well worth a visit, cheeses, pastries, breads, pies and a whole lot more.
S.
Nice market with lots of people, but didn't find anything special that it was worth driving 30 or so minutes to get to. If you have children, then the pony rides looked like they were a highlight
C.
First time using covid passport to access, easy as..
D.
Fantastic great food
Will be going back
D.
Could do with a wider range - not many healthy/non-bread orientated options. Good summer atmosphere though.
J.
great place to spend a sunday. lots of artisan products from food to plants and things in between. Also lots of yummy food options to choose from to eat there. Best to bring cash, some stalls do have eftpos and there is a cash out facility but it gets busy and charges circa $1.50 nzd per transaction
R.
We know we headed out a bit late in the morning and thus arrived with only an hour to spare. That stated, there was surprisingly little here, especially as it’s a talked-about and hyped locale. What was here was well situated and varied, but we were expecting more. Prices were a bit outta touch, but one advantage to being late is the produce was often discounted so they did not have to take it away😎
A.
Always on the more expensive side, but wonderful to get access to free produce and delicious meals.
A wonderful start to the day, or a sneaky brunch activity.
K.
This is a great little farmers market really with food as the focal point. There are a number of regular food stalls which offer consistently great items, the dumplings, donuts, jerky and woodfire pizza stalls are some of our favourite. There are a number of other stalls and some come and go as they travel the Auckland market circuit. Not a particulalrly large amount of fruit and veges for sale, so we generally come here for a Sunday morning meal rather than grocery shop, however the butcher located in pavillion is particularly good and does drop prices if you head along later in the day.
N.
Fantastic outing on a Sunday
P.
Though this is not what you might expect from a traditional farmers' market, but nevertheless it's a lovely market within a short drive from Howick township. We got there mid morning and it was jammed packed with cars and people. However, there're plenty of parkings so it was not a big deal to find a proper space to park. Highly recommended - as there are plenty interesting goods and foods for sale :)
S.
Great food and atmosphere
N.
It was great. Lots of yummy food, lovely flowering plants, sweet smelling herbs and fresh fruits as well as exquisite flowers to take home.
K.
KOHKOZ real Lebanese cuisine is an absolute must! The most delicious bread and dips I've had and the falafel is awesome! Definately worth the drive out there if only for these guys! Great prices for amazing food!
M.
Best market! Full of lovely people and delicious artisan products! Forget & Ferment wild kraut, Kam Kwa the most amazing authentic thai (so excited they are now on Uber Eats!), Clevedon Herbs & Produce are my faves
w.
Clevedon market is lovely with great stalls for veges, plants and food. We go for the whitebait fritters and live music. Everything is pricy though hence 4/5 but great atmosphere.
M.
Great place, good coffee and awesome food and produce. Nice spot to meet with friends. Dogs welcome on a leash.
Y.
Great market for all. Even pony rides. Some items especially meats and small goods seemed overpriced. Almond croissants were not fresh... very disappointing. Ambiance great.
L.
Lots of different and interesting food. Tastings for most food too. Very busy and lots of people and dogs. Horse and donkey rides for kids. Fun morning out. Closes at 1pm I think.
F.
This is a really great little spot especially for young familes as there is a farmyard animal attraction and pony rides for the little ones. Theres a village green type square where you can sit and listen to the entertainment theres normally an easy listening jazz type singer. A lot of people bring their dogs on a leash which is fine if they are well controlled because in the crowds it cab be intimidating both for the dogs and small children. There are lots of little food outlets, plant stalls and free range produce olive oils and preserves. It could do with more places to buy water, juice or drinks of some sort .
E.
What a great market. Many food options to choose from and such a good place to meet up with friends while getting stocked up for the week!
M.
Despite the rain a nice range of things to browse or buy. Bought some manuka honey, veggies and a coffee.
Friendly store holders.
N.
Clevedon Farmers market is fantastic.lots of lovely fresh local produce including the wonderful buffalo mozerella! Stop and have breakfast and you can choose anything from French pastries to delicious gyoza dumplings.
J.
Village Press oil is a must! Also great meat from Harmony and lots of great food stalls. Wouldn’t recommend the coffee though - long queues and usually cold by the time you get it.
K.
Fabulous family atmosphere. Great food, produce and music. You can even bring the family dog!
R.
A great range of all the best food. The best salad dressings, christmas tarts, smoked salmon, Malaysian food and Serbian hot dogs.
A.
Lovely little outing, kids loved the pony and donkey ride and food was yummy. Was very hot and crowded with very little shade so just need to come prepared.
S.
We found signs for this market while trying to get a carpark at Clevedon shops. It's a bit out of Clevedon town, but well worth the trip. Allow yourself enough time to linger at the stalls - you will!
o.
Great place to come on a sunday morning for breakfast!!
Good selection of food for differing tastes and the cheeses are amazing
P.
Loving this market:
Breakfast today; wood fired margherita pizza with prosciutto...heaven
deputy donuts...OMG!
Fresh coffee.
Fresh veges and vegetables plants to bring home.
W.
Loved this market. Delicious options, spent lots but enjoyed every morsel, planted the heritage seeds, the smoked salmon is devine, the cheese yum... Just go
K.
Nice country market. Bought various items and this included some comb honey. Good price and can now see why as very disappointed. Hard and sugary. Dont live close to go back and comment on it
F.
Most popular morning market in Auckland
P.
Covid killed this fun place!
T.
10/10 the beautiful staff in the coffee room were super friendly and made great coffee !
B.
Really good market. Lots of products and people. Nice and tidy layout. Car parking busy but lots coming and going. Well worth a visit.
J.
Nice market with different vendors. They guy playing acoustic guitar was really good
J.
We were still in Auckland you say? Beautiful place, right outside the city. Great produce, good prices and friendly people.
A.
We were in Clevedon for 4 days and were very grateful it lined up with the farmers markets! Such a happy, energetic place, with all sorts of yummy things to sample!
r.
Nice place loved it...would go again best to go before 12pm..we went 10am ish not many people but got busy around 11am
O.
Top quality produce and products and yummy treats. Bring cash for convenience
P.
Great way to spend a Sunday morning. Amazing food. Live music. Organic and gluten Free products 🐠🍒🍌🍏🍎🍉🍑🍇🍐🍓🍋🍈🍆🍅🍍🌭🌯🍕🍦🍭🍿🍪🍬🍥too yummy
J.
Wow, incredible. So many well trained dog owners so many interesting stalls, and yummy food. Might wear my gumboots next time lol.
S.
Drive through twice a day. Coffee OK and you get most things at a pinch. Two Dairy's, Farm supplies (good place), take aways, pub. Corner bar..
M.
Great food, live music and so many friendly dogs. Highly recommend
C.
Dont come here often enough. Plenty on offer with something to suit everyones tastes. The parking however is atrocious! No body has a clue, local or not. People just park where they want however they want with no consideration at all.
A.
Awesome 👏🏻
H.
There used to be so much to love about this market but recently it seems like the variety has become more limited and the number of stalls have decreased. Parking can be an issue so get in early.
G.
Very nice atmosphere
R.
Another great day at the market, cool music and wonderful food, typically pre xmas products a little on the high side money wise!
K.
Awesome place to go to :) I reccomend the place two anyone, good food and good other products for your skin & face
T.
Amazing produce and atmosphere. Good variety of foods to eat. Has eftpos facilities but most stalls have eftpos machines.
T.
Wanted a bit more fun fair stuff but the locals we're really awesome. Definitely needed more ice cream places though!
B.
Very nice setup, very busy. I was a bit disappointed that there was very little farm produce available, however the overall experience was very good.
M.
Great atmosphere. Lovely knives for sale and sharpening service offered.
N.
Bring cash, an empty shopping bag and an appetite. The stall offer some great eats which can be enjoyed on the hay bales scattered about.
E.
Beautiful food was especially nice on a cold, wet day! Vendors all so charming and welcoming 🙂
s.
Great selection of different things here with lots if items that you can't get many other places.
A.
One of my favorite farmer's market in Auckland! Always a nice drive out to the country and enjoy freshly made food sitting on haystacks.
D.
Neat market lots to see just a bit hard to find, not very well signposted from main road .
M.
Wow! I didn’t expect it to be that big. Huge variety of fruit, veggies and an amazing artisan sourdough bread!!!
B.
It was ok. Good range of products. Nice atmosphere. Animals for the kids to touch and pat as well as pony rides
G.
Get sunscreen, no shade. Great food options though, lots of parking
L.
This market was average. I was expecting more stalls and a larger variety of produce. The food stalls aren’t particularly tasty either.
A.
Variety of food options in a village setup.
K.
Lovely atmosphere and good quality offerings but not as much produce options as i imagined there would have been
A.
Great experience overall. Recently had become too crowded though which shows the popularity. Love the atmosphere.
M.

Nice morning out. Great food, coffee and entertainment!
L.
An amazing place for tourists and locals to visit and get some crafted food - cheese, meats, vegetables, tasty cooked food and much more.

Real nice market although the amount of fruits and vegetables seems to decline and more focus is on food to eat right there. Hence 4*.
